BBC Question Time FURY: No Brexit Party panellist AGAIN despite leading EU election polls

Mr Farage hit out at BBC Question Time last week after it didn’t feature any Brexit Party candidates.

He told a crowd at a rally in Wolverhampton: “We can choose to buy different newspapers.

“We can choose to listen to different commercial radio stations.

“Where I have a problem is when we are effectively taxed £150 a year just to have a television in our house.

“When the public service broadcaster does not put a single representative of this new party on any major television programme, even when we have gone from nothing to topping the polls."

The future of AT&T is an ad-tracking nightmare hellworld

AT&T can claim up and down that it’s asked for permission to use customer information to do this, but there is simply no possible way the average customer has ever even read their AT&T contracts, let alone puzzled out that they’re signing up to be permanently tracked and influenced by targeted media in this way.

Vast Majority Of Americans Reject Attack On Iran; Half Expect War "Within Few Years"

War with Iran remains a deeply unpopular prospect among the American people, but a new opinion poll conducted by Reuters and polling organization Ipsos found there's not much optimism concerning the likelihood of getting entangled in a future conflict. The poll released Tuesday found that half of all Americans see the US and Iran being at war "within the next few years".

As of early this week it appeared the White House as well as Pentagon were firmly signaling the US has climbed down the escalation ladder, with statements claiming the US military build-up near the Persian Gulf of the past two weeks had forced Iran to put its planned actions against US troops "on hold" in order to "recalculate".

Webmaster's Commentary:

Netanyahu wants this war, and at double-march speed time.

He cannot wait for Trump to turn around and do something logical here, so I would say that a reasonable "window" for a false flag event, to be blamed on Iran, would be between Monday, Memorial Day, and Thursday, 4 July, which is the US's main patriotic event.

Please understand that I would hate like heck to be right; but this is what I see, looking at, with all the pieces of the puzzle in view.

Bill Blain: "Xi Is In Much More Trouble Than We Think"

In terms of market action, trade fears really seem to have settled in as the dominant theme on markets. But if markets are simply wondering when there will be a solution, then they may be waiting for the wrong thing. While the mood remains negative as the market waits for a US/China agreement/resolution, maybe the new long-term reality is an increasingly and deliberately bifurcated global economy? The US and its allies vs China. If it sounds familiar – it should in terms of 1945-89. The West won the last Cold War on the same basis – and the economic benefits accrued to the free capitalist states, a theme the Neo-coms are increasingly banding around. You just imagine the scene in the war room: “This is time Mr President..”

House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) told her Democratic colleagues that President Trump "wants to be impeached" in order to be vindicated by the Senate, according to ABC News.

House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) told her Democratic colleagues that President Trump "wants to be impeached" in order to be vindicated by the Senate, according to ABC News.

Pelosi made the suggestion during a Thursday morning meeting according to two Democratic aides, who said that Pelosi also called Trump's actions "villainous."

The aide said that Pelosi was implying that she will stick to her current plan to keep investigating the president and his administration without jumping to impeachment, but Pelosi didn’t explicitly say that in her remarks. -ABC News

Pelosi's comments come one day after she and President Trump traded barbs after a contentious White House meeting in which Trump effectively said that Democrats' efforts to continue investigating him were getting in the way of bipartisan negotiations over infrastructure spending.

Webmaster's Commentary:

Pel strikes again; but this time, I think it is "misdirection", to keep attention focused on Trump, rather than on the Demoncratic antics which brought the country to Russia-gate in the first place.

“Mass Sterilization”: Kenyan Doctors Find Anti-fertility Agent in UN Tetanus Vaccine

According to LifeSiteNews, a Catholic publication, the Kenya Catholic Doctors Association is charging UNICEF and WHO with sterilizing millions of girls and women under cover of an anti-tetanus vaccination program sponsored by the Kenyan government.

The Kenyan government denies there is anything wrong with the vaccine, and says it is perfectly safe.
UNICEF: A History of Taking Advantage of Disasters to Mass Vaccinate

It should be noted that UNICEF and WHO distribute these vaccines for free, and that there are financial incentives for the Kenyan government to participate in these programs. When funds from the UN are not enough to purchase yearly allotments of vaccines, an organization started and funded by the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation, GAVI, provides extra funding for many of these vaccination programs in poor countries. (See: Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation Vaccine Empire on Trial in India.)

Webmaster's Commentary:

The enforced sterilization of young women, who have not consented to this or fully understand the vaccine's real purpose, should be allowed, in a large class-action lawsuit, to sue the people who manufactured and distributed this vaccine, and receive compensation; but, of course, because these women are not monied, this will happen only when pigs discover they are aerodynamic.

Blaming Dead Pilots Brought to You by Boeing

The House Transportation Subcommittee on Aviation held an oversight hearing last week on the two recent Boeing 7373 MAX airplane crashes.

Testifying were the heads of the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) and the National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB).

Asking questions and making statements were 39 members of the House – 22 Democrats and 17 Republicans – who during the 2018 election cycle took in a total of $134,749 – or an average of $3,455 each from Boeing in campaign contributions.

Inoculating their interests from responsibility, blame, shame and liability were the Boeing lobbyists and lawyers swarming the Capitol.

The chair of the subcommittee, Rick Larsen (D-Washington) ($7,048 from Boeing in 2018, $101,134 over his career), artfully steered the hearing away from Boeing’s corporate responsibility for the deaths of the passengers on the Lion Air and Ethiopian Airlines planes that crashed within five months killing all 346 passengers on board.

US Is About to Sanction the World if They Don’t Stop Purchasing Russian Weapons

The CAATSA (Countering America’s Adversaries Through Sanctions Act) sanctions concept of economically punishing countries that continue to purchase Russian and Chinese arms is about to become much more effective after the forthcoming global application of the “European Recapitalisation Incentive Programme”, which will see the US sanctioning states that don’t progressively transition away from their current multipolar suppliers to American ones instead.

Adding a carrot of sorts to the traditional sanctions stick, the US will help countries fund their new American purchases, which will supposedly incentivize them into complying with Washington’s demands. This new policy represents a much more muscular approach to “military diplomacy” than before and shows that the US properly understands the challenge that Russia and China’s own application of the same poses to its global interests.

Webmaster's Commentary:

I would not characterize this as "military diplomacy" I would characterize it as "blackmail diplomacy", pure and simple.

Gaza exit permits: Aisha's lone journey for cancer treatment

Israeli permit system prevents some parents from accompanying their sick children to hospitals outside of Gaza Strip.

Gaza City - Last month, five-year-old Aisha came home from nursery vomiting and saying she had a headache.

Her condition deteriorated, so her family took her to hospital, where, after undergoing medical checks, they had every parent's worst fear confirmed.

Aisha was diagnosed with brain cancer.

"The news hit me like a thunderbolt," Mona Lulu, Aisha's mother, told Al Jazeera from her home in the al-Bureij refugee camp.

Aisha underwent urgent surgery in al-Shifa Hospital in Gaza City but she needed a medical transfer to go to the Augusta Victoria Hospital in occupied East Jerusalem for further treatment.

But when it came time to decide which of her parents would go with her, the family found the decision was out of their hands.

"Her mother and I applied and we both were rejected," Aisha's father Wesam said.

Webmaster's Commentary:

Just when I think that the Israeli government cannot get any more putridly foul, it does something that amazes me, by its ability to go even lower.

The kid is 5, for heaven's sake; and that she has to go alone for these treatments?!?

If an afterlife exists, (which I believe does), there has to be a special place in hell for the Israeli bureaucrats who made this decision, with an absolutely tone-deaf response to the needs of a kid who needs treatment.

Shameful, Israel!!

I keep hoping that you will find a way to rise above this kind churlish pettiness, in these kinds of situations, but I keep getting clobbered, every time something like this happens, and it happens far too frequently.

We’ve Hit a New Low in Campaign Hit Pieces

Recent efforts to sandbag Bernie Sanders and Tulsi Gabbard are crude repeats of behaviors that helped elect Trump in 2016.

Last week, the Daily Beast ran this headline: “Tulsi Gabbard’s Campaign Is Being Boosted by Putin Apologists”

That was followed by the sub headline: “The Hawaii congresswoman is quickly becoming the top candidate for Democrats who think the Russian leader is misunderstood.”

The Gabbard campaign has received 75,000 individual donations. This crazy Beast article is based on (maybe) three of them.

The three names are professor Stephen Cohen, activist Sharon Tennison and someone using the name “Goofy Grapes,” who may or may not have once worked for comedian Lee Camp, currently employed by Russia Today.

Last week, the Daily Beast ran this headline: “Tulsi Gabbard’s Campaign Is Being Boosted by Putin Apologists”

Webmaster's Commentary:

OF the folks out there running, who have declared, because my favorite, right now, would be Tulsi Gabbard. She is a pro-peace Vet who has seen military action; a woman; and someone with Samoan ancestry, so she understands the value of putting military programs under the proverbial microscope, to see if they are really necessary.

But it is her pro-peace stance, which will get her marginalized; the major corporations, along with our Merchant of Death in Chief, love wars, because wars bring profits to the warmongers, and the bankers.

Iran president seeks wartime executive powers following US tensions

Iran's president has told a group of clerics that he is seeking expanded, wartime executive powers to better deal with an "economic war" triggered by the Trump administration's pullout from the nuclear deal and escalating US sanctions.

The state IRNA news agency reported late Monday that President Hassan Rouhani cited the 1980s war with Iraq, when a wartime supreme council was able to bypass other branches to make decisions regarding the economy and the war.

The report didn't say what the new powers would entail but quoted Rouhani as saying that "today, we need such powers".

Webmaster's Commentary:

COME ON, can you blame the guy, looking at an impending war with the US would do to his country for heaven's sake?!?

The short, logical answer is, no.

China: U.S. resembles 'Don Quixote' in seeing other powers as threats

China told the world’s main disarmament forum on Wednesday that U.S. foreign policy was destabilising, baffling and redolent of Don Quixote, the Spanish fictional hero whose misplaced determination leads him on a series of doomed endeavours.

“The Cold War mentality has come back to drive the security strategy and policy of a major power,” China’s disarmament ambassador Li Song told the Conference on Disarmament, a long-stalemated arena for arms talks at the United Nations in Geneva.

“In particular the U.S. keeps saying other countries make it feel unsafe – this is truly baffling,” he said.

Webmaster's Commentary:

Ambassador Song appears to be correct, in his assessment.

And I would add, that many people, who in the last election, believed that Donald Trump would be better choice as President, are now feeling "getter's remorse"; the man doesn't seem to understand that the word "negotiations" means honest give and take by each side; it is NOT "my way OR THE HIGHWAY"

SecDef Orders New Limits on Military Reporting to Congress

Pentagon says new limits actually "increase transparency".

Acting Secretary of Defense Patrick Shanahan has issued a new memo imposing major new restrictions on the methods through which the Pentagon and defense officials are allowed to share information with Congressional offices or committees.

The policy imposes serious limits, telling officials to only give Congress official summaries instead of actual plans, and sets officials within the Pentagon who decide whether a Congressional request can be proven to be legitimate.

This is clearly intended to further limit information sharing at a time when many in Congress are complaining they’re already not being kept sufficiently informed. Reps. Adam Smith (D-WA) and Mac Thornberry (R-TX) warned that the new policy is overstepping the Pentagon’s authority, by “presuming to determine what warrants legislative oversight.”

Webmaster's Commentary:

"increase transparency", MY ASTROLABE!!

This is engineered to build a ruggedized, encrypted intel fortress about critical information, so that Congress cannot hear about the foulups, bleeps, and blunders perpetrated by the Pentagon, in its relentless, insane pursuit of wars of conquest.

So Acting Secretary of Defense Patrick Shanahan, a word, please; there has to come a time when we desperately need, at the national level, to have a Department of Peace, to give the President alternative ways to go about his international agenda, rather than blowing people, and things, up.

And sir, forgive me, but that time... is now.

Senate Committee Rejects Requiring Congress Sign Off on Iran War

Congress never authorized a US war in Iran. Under the US Constitution, Congress has sole authority to do that, so that’s seemingly an important deal. With the US engaged in other unauthorized wars, however, it has been little more than a side note, and the Trump Administration has considered Congressional involvement in the process to be optional, at best.

Sens. Chris Murphy (D-CT) and Tom Udall (D-NM) led an effort on Wednesday to try to reassert Congressional authority, by trying to preemptively de-fund any US war against Iran unless Congress authorized it ahead of time.

This proposal was brought forward at the Senate Foreign Relations Committee, and immediately failed, 13-9. Murphy said this vote would remind the administration that they don’t have authorization for the war.

Webmaster's Commentary:

It has never been so painfully clear, in the history of the US Congress, that those in it, have had both their consciences, and spines, surgically removed.

Pentagon Plans to Send 10,000 US Troops to Middle East to Confront Iran

Citing ongoing US-Iran tensions and the secret intelligence on Iranian “threats” officials keep mentioning, CENTCOM is requesting that the Pentagon approve substantial numbers of additional US ground troops to be deployed somewhere in the Middle East.

Though initial reports claimed that CENTCOM was only requesting “about 5,000” ground troops, subsequent reports said that the Pentagon are preparing a plan to present to President Trump seeking 10,000 troops.

It’s not clear where these troops could be stationed, though officials emphasized they would be purely defensive. It is unlikely Iraq would welcome a large influx of US troops, however, especially when it is presented as being directed against neighboring Iran.

Webmaster's Commentary:

President Trump, a word, please: these acts will be viewed as preparations for a war against Iran.

And it appears to me, that CENTCOM is getting rather drunk on its own cork, and not looking at the gaping "holes" in the US military posture.

And what happens, please, if China and Russia decide to enter the fray on Iran's side?!?

And have you not noticed that the further this country drives Iran away, with sanctions, etc., the closer it is moving toward partnerships with Russia and China, to the point of doing away with any transactions which used to be done in US dollar denomination?!?

Sir, please wake up, and direct CENTCOM to come up with any other way of "dealing" with Iran's alleged aggressions," which doesn't involve committing the US troops to another senseless, stupid war.

And Mr. President, please remember; in 2016, you were hired by the American people to move this country forward, on a platform of peace and prosperity; if you commit to another war, you are bailing on that platform.

DRIVERS BEWARE: THE DEADLY PERILS OF TRAFFIC STOPS IN THE AMERICAN POLICE STATE

You’ve read enough news stories, seen enough headlines, and lived in the American police state long enough to be anxious about any encounter with a cop that takes place on the side of the road.

For better or worse, from the moment you’re pulled over, you’re at the mercy of law enforcement officers who have almost absolute discretion to decide who is a threat, what constitutes resistance, and how harshly they can deal with the citizens they were appointed to “serve and protect.”

This is what I call “blank check policing,” in which the police get to call all of the shots.

So if you’re nervous about traffic stops, you have every reason to be.

Trying to predict the outcome of any encounter with the police is a bit like playing Russian roulette: most of the time you will emerge relatively unscathed, although decidedly poorer and less secure about your rights, but there’s always the chance that an encounter will turn deadly.

EVEN BEFORE THE RECESSION HAS OFFICIALLY BEGUN, SOME LARGE U.S. FIRMS ARE LAYING OFF THOUSANDS OF WORKERS

By Michael Snyder

If the U.S. economy is “booming” and very bright days are ahead, then why are many large U.S. corporations laying off thousands of workers? Layoffs are starting to come fast and furious now, and this is happening even though the coming recession has not even officially started yet. Of course many are convinced that we are actually in a recession at this moment. In fact, according to John Williams of shadowstats.com if the government was actually using honest numbers they would show that we have been in a recession for quite some time. But the narrative that the mainstream media keeps feeding us is that the U.S. economy is “doing well” and that the outlook for the future is positive. Well, if that is true then why are big companies laying off so many workers right now?

Let’s start by talking about Ford Motor Company. On Monday, they announced that they will be laying off approximately 7,000 workers…

Webmaster's Commentary:

Snyder nails this one on the head.

Right now, I am very blessed to be an entrepreneur with a couple of very happy clients.

MOSSAD AND THE RISE OF THE VC-SPY ALLIANCE

SOURCE: DEEP STATE BLOG

The growth of intelligence agencies in the 21st century has been powered by the development of new technologies, created by start-ups, which are powered by intelligence agencies. This unvirtuous circle of money and espionage is a new and daunting challenge for civil liberties and human rights groups.

The U.S intelligence community has a venture capital organization, Inqtel, founded by the CIA in 1999. Israel’s Mossad has Libertad Ventures, founded in June 2017.

As The Times of Israel reports:

Webmaster's Commentary:

How deliciously ironic: the name of the organization, "Libertad" (meaning liberty) is the polar opposite from what Mossad wants its software to do; Mossad's goals here, are to assist Israel in regime change of any country it doesn't much care for (and that would most probably be the entire rest of the Middle East), or viciously mischaracterize individuals who believe in a fair shake for Palestine, as "supporters of extreme terror" (and I have to bet, as peace activists, our names are somewhere in their data base).

The goals of this company are not to encourage any real win/win relationships, but to give Israel the "edge" it believes it needs to surveille other countries, without leaving a trace of the intrusions

U.S. IN VENEZUELA: IS STARVATION A WEAPON OF ‘REGIME CHANGE?’

SOURCE: DEEPSTATEBLOG.ORG

The United States is seeking to shut down Venezuela’s emergency food aid program, according to the Wall Street Journal.
The stated goal of U.S. policy is combating the corruption of the Venezuelan government. The unstated reality is that the Trump administration is doing exactly what it accuses the Maduro government of doing: weaponizing access to food.

The emergency food program—known by its Spanish initials, CLAP—is the main food source for an estimated 15% of Venezuelans and a critical supplement for a far larger percentage of the population. Officials in the Maduro government, including top military brass, “are using the CLAP program to steal from it, launder money, and for political control,” the senior Treasury official said. “Corrupt Maduro continue to seek illicit revenue streams, even as the Venezuelan people and economy sink deeper into despair,” said another senior Treasury official, Sigal Mandelker, the undersecretary for sanctions.

Webmaster's Commentary:

Weaponizing food, and taking it away from people who really need it to survive, is a really nasty way of attempting to create regime change in Caracas.

In fact, such actions can be described as war crimes against a civilian population.

And right now, the Unhinged, surveilled, State of Amerika, takes the prize for war crimes in the 21st century; against Yemeni kids; Libyan kids; Iraqi kids; Venezuelan kids; and places about which we don't know all over the planet.

To understand that your government is sponsoring war crimes, all around the world, is a very difficult place to which one has to come, in taking this all in.

I, for one, am very frustrated with this government, for having the dubious distinction, of being the #1 perpetrator of war crimes on this planet.

And folks, one of two things will happen because of this; the US government will either have a soviet-style collapse, or start a world war which will devastate the entire planet.

THE PENTAGON ASKS TRUMP TO SEND THOUSANDS OF U.S. TROOPS TO THE MIDDLE EAST AS TENSIONS WITH IRAN CONTINUE TO RISE

SOURCE: THE ECONOMIC COLLAPSE

The more steps that we take toward a war with Iran, the more likely it becomes that somebody will do something really stupid that will actually trigger one. By cutting off Iran’s oil exports, we are threatening to completely wreck their economy, and at this point they feel backed into a corner. And the Iranians have already watched the U.S. invade two countries that they share a border with (Afghanistan and Iraq), and so it is understandable that they are a bit paranoid that it could happen to them too. President Trump keeps saying that he doesn’t want a war with Iran, but the Iranians do not believe a single word any U.S. politician says. Instead, they watch what we actually do very, very closely, and the fact that the Pentagon wants to deploy thousands of new troops to the Middle East is definitely going to freak them out. The following comes from Fox News…

Webmaster's Commentary:

Unfortunately, just because something is one of the most ham-fistedly, pig-headedly stupid thing the US and its military could do, is absolutely no guarantee that they won't do it.

And there is a paragraph after the last one I copied, which I don't believe at all; the writer of this article, characterizes Iran's leadership as "insane", and frankly, I wouldn't go there.

I think that the Iranians care as much for their kids, and their country, as we do for our kids and our country. In reading presstv.com (an English language version of Iranian state-approved news), you see kids, young men and young women, competing in both sports, and intellectual combat, like building and programming robots, and mathanasium challenges.

One of the best, highest ranked global universities for computer science, to be found in Iran

They understand that they live in the 21st century, and want their kids to be as competitive and ready, as they can possibly be.

So Mr. President, a word, please: any kind of invasion/attack against Iran, of course, preceded by a "false flag, to be blamed against it, (most probably courtesy of Mossad) is NOT what We the People wanted, when they voted you into office. They hired you to run this country on a peace and prosperity platform; not more endless wars.

And please understand, that if you do this, Israel's Prime Minister Benyamin Netanyahu will not give a rat's anus, if we wind up with hundreds, or thousand American troops dead or maimed for life.

Israel is always eager for other countries to fight their wars for it, so that the costs in blood, and money, will only be absorbed by those proxy fighters, and not Israel.

And there is another question about this potential for further deployment of Americans in the Middle East; what happens when Russia and/or China, decide to come in on Iran's side?!?

Do you remember what happened in Syria, when Russian troops and weaponry got rid if most of the jihadi there (including those paid for by US tax funds?!?)

Sir, please don't back away from asking this of Kenneth McKenzie, head of U.S. Central Command, and Acting Defense Secretary Patrick Shanahan; as of an article dated 16 May, at bloomberg.com stated:

US "Evidence" of Iran Threat readied for Release by the Pentagon. The article went on to state:

"The evidence may be released within a day, according to one of the officials, because the White House recognizes it needs to disclose more documentation to skeptical allies, U.S. lawmakers and the public.

These include images of the two dhows, slow-moving vessels that U.S. analysts believe were carrying cruise missiles that are designed to attack land targets and would be fired directly from the boats rather than shipped to other locations, according to one of the defense officials.

The vessels could be easily disguised among the many dhows that transit the Persian Gulf in routine commerce -- unlike the easily spotted speedboats that Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps has long used to intimidate crews of oil vessels from other nations and occasionally to harass American ships in the Persian Gulf"

Translation; they are "cherry picking" the data, to make it appear that there IS a credible threat from Iran, and that is what will be shown to Congress and to you, President Trump.

And Mr. President, forgive me, but if US lawmakers, the public, and allies may be characterized as being "skeptical", about these claims, please remember the following: The US government flat out lied about "Saddam Hussein's having alleged "weapons of mass destruction", to get the Iraq war going

It was all about the oil, and insuring that it was only sold in US dollars, and Iraq is still one hot, sticky mess from that never-ending war.

Mr. President, you and Congress may state the need for "confrontation", because Israel wants to get this war going quickly, as they are unsure if you are getting "cold feet" about it; but sir, if you do this, it will be another war, based on lies, to create confrontation where there could possibly be collaboration.

US governmental credibility has been well and truly flushed, when you ordered that the US withdraw from the P5+1 Agreement; please don't make this any worse than it already is, as the Middle East is already on the cusp of disaster.

PLUNDER – WHAT IS IT & WHO DOES IT?

France is the home of Frederick Bastiat whose philosophy of economics and freedom is noted and summarized below. Obviously, the leaders of France either never heard of Bastiat, or reject his philosophy out of hand.

In 1850, Frédéric Bastiat’s political theory was published in his work The Law. In this work, the Frenchman vigorously challenged what he believed to be a perversion of the real meaning of law and justice and called on his countrymen to seek true liberty that leads to prosperity. In France today, the people’s liberty has been plundered – that’s thanks to socialism – hey AOC; check it out!!!

For the sake of brevity, his work can be distilled down to a few basic points in question-and-answer format:

SAN FRANCISCO PD EARNING UNIVERSAL CONDEMNATION FOR RAIDING A JOURNALIST'S HOME DURING ITS INTERNAL LEAK INVESTIGATION

SOURCE: TECH DIRT
When the San Francisco Police Department decided to externalize its internal investigation of a leaked document, things got unlawful and unconstitutional in a hurry. Deciding the best way to sniff out the leaker of a police report detailing the death of prominent public defender Jeff Adachi was through the front door of a local journalist, the SFPD now has a lot of explaining to do.
The SFPD raided journalist Bryan Carmody's home supposedly to find information that would lead them to one of its own officers. Carmody is a stringer and had shopped around a copy of the police report someone inside the SFPD leaked to him. None of this is criminal. Nothing about Carmody's information-gathering fell outside of the law. If anyone broke the law, it was the officer or PD employee who gave him the report.

Webmaster's Commentary:

I shudder at how incredibly violent,PC, and lawless SF has become; I was born there, and always used to love to go up and visit; Right now, I wouldn't
go back, even if I were paid to do so.

GOLDMAN AND JPM SET THEIR SIGHTS ON THE “LITTLE PEOPLE’S” MONEY

When Goldman Sachs was negotiating its deal with New York City in 2005 to build its new headquarters building at 200 West Street, one of its requirements was that it have a seat along with the New York City Police Department in a taxpayer-funded spy center to keep the Main Street riffraff under surveillance. Goldman wanted the new surveillance center to be in place no later than December 31, 2009. Curious, isn’t it, that Goldman was prescient enough to think that the pitchforks might be coming out after an epic crash on Wall Street. The spy center was, indeed, built and both Goldman and JPMorgan Chase were given seats, along with the New York Fed, Citigroup and others. (See Wall Street Firms Spy On Protesters in Tax-Funded Center and 60 Minutes Takes a Pass on Wall Street’s Secret Spy Center.)

Webmaster's Commentary:

Color me unsurprised by these moves.

Why people are investing in the stock market, during these volatile times, is a mystery to me, unless they have inside information which nearly guarantees that such investments are "bullet-proof"; of course, this is information to which both houses of Congress are privy, and because they are not required to put their investments into a blind trust, as is the President.

Let's, for example, look at the financial wellness of The Pel, and her husband: After the historic 2018 midterm elections, Rep. Nancy Pelosi was again confirmed to the role of speaker of the House of Representatives on Jan. 3, 2019.
As a couple, Pelosi and her husband have a combined net worth between -$58.7 million and $72.1 million.
Until 1987, the career politician worked in unpaid roles.

So, after she has made the statement in her news conference today, that "President Trump is after his own interests, not the people's interest", one has to wonder; what sweetheart deals has this lady made, to earn The Pel and her hubby, somewhere +/- $65 million dollars per year?!?

AFTER READING THIS ARTICLE ABOUT THE DANGER OF GMOS, YOU WILL PROBABLY NEVER WANT TO EAT GENETICALLY-MODIFIED FOOD AGAIN

Every single day, most Americans eagerly gobble down foods that contain ingredients that have been genetically-modified without ever considering the consequences. Most of us simply assume that the federal government would never allow us to eat GMOs if they were not safe. Unfortunately, it appears that the federal government has completely failed us. The material that I am about to share with you is deeply disturbing, and after reading this article there is a very good chance that you will never want to eat genetically-modified food ever again. But at this point it is almost impossible to completely avoid GMOs, because they are in almost everything. Unless they are specifically designated “organic”, most corn, soy, canola and sugar beets grown in America today have been genetically modified, and almost all packaged foods contain ingredients derived from at least one of those sources.

Webmaster's Commentary:

Playing with the building blocks of life, in the food chain, can be hazardous to your health; and Congress does nothing about this, because they get huge amounts of campaign money from companies like Sygenta and Monsanto, to look the other way.

NO WONDER OBAMA INTEL CHIEFS PANICKING – TRUMP TO DECLASSIFY “BUCKET 5” RUSSIAGATE DOCS

As Congressional Democrats insist on conducting post-Mueller probes into President Trump and those around him, much of the recent infighting and backpedaling we’ve seen from former Obama intel chiefs is starting to make sense.

Appearing with Fox News‘s Sean Hannity Tuesday night, The Hill‘s John Solomon revealed that according to his sources (and Hannity’s as well), President Trump will begin declassifying ‘Russiagate’ documents in the next 6-7 days.

Among those will be the so-called “Bucket Five” – documents which were originally presented to the Gang of Eight in 2016, which included everything the FBI and DOJ used against Trump campaign aide Carter Page – including the FISA surveillance application and its underlying exculpatory intelligence documents which the FISA court may have never seen.

According to John Solomon, #declas is coming in 7-8 days; looks likely after POTUS Japan visit and just before a visit to UK, or between 5/29 and 6/2.

Webmaster's Commentary:

This is precisely why we had that"Pelosiopolous" moment yesterday (a place for those living in that deluded and dangerous mental construct which is near that of Nancy Pelosi) when "The Pel" accused President Trump of a "cover-up."

It was all planned political theatre, just as Kabuki-like, as one could imagine, and carefully scripted by those who pathologically fail to understand, that when they are prone to these outbreaks of bad, but well-timed, political theatre, the people who hired these people to represent them, are the ones who suffer.

I am watching the crawl on Faux right now, and it is as though nothing else but else but this wretched mud slinging matters. The Pel is speaking right now, again, accusing President Trump of a "cover up". Of course, she really has nothing;, but in the fog-filled, ambien-esque reality of fact-free, political theatre, emotional couching and attempted emotional manipulation, are much more important than facts.

The Pel is stating that President Trump's priority "is his personal interest, not public interest"; I would really like to know precisely what she means, because she has, so far, said a great bunch of nothing, and now has made the statement that President Trump has "pulled a stunt", and "wants the US to be on a path to impeachment." This is how she is laying the groundwork for impeachment. But as we know with the impeachment spectacle of her BFF, President Clinton, during one of his "infidelity fests" with Monica Lewinsky, the accusation does not always mean conviction.

Folks, we are hovering on the verge of World War 3, precisely because Congress has virtually abnegated its responsibility to declare war in Iraq; Somalia, Afghanistan; Libya; Yemen; and here comes the wind-up, and the pitch, for a war against Iran, whose only collective "crime" has been, that it has refused to allow its oil to be sold only in US dollars.

We the People cannot tolerate this lack of action by Congress, and this vile, vituperative "misdirection" by The Pel, and if, somewhere between Memorial Day, and the 4th of July, we see a huge false flag to be blamed on Iran, (most probably courtesy of Mossad), please don't tell me we didn't warn you, that this was coming.

ICE SEEKS TECH TO TRACK ELECTRONIC DEVICES—EVEN THROUGH TIME

Immigration and Customs Enforcement is looking for a cloud-based subscription service that can pinpoint the exact locations of cellphones, laptops and other connected devices—even going back in time.

ICE is searching for geolocation services technology that can give an accurate location—either pinpoint or a designated polygonal area—for connected devices within a specific time window. The service should be able to identify locations going back at least two years or more.

According to a request for information posted Monday to FedBizOpps, ICE agents may use the service to locate electronic devices from geolocation data obtained through providers and applications, though it is unclear if the service could be used to pull geolocation data from confiscated devices. The service should be to pull data from numerous sources, including “Wi-Fi, Apps, Software Development Kit (SDK), Bidstream, Beacons, etc.,” and then reduce that information to a single data point.

Webmaster's Commentary:

I am actually having a hard time in understanding why ICE would be putting out this RFI, other than to spy even more intensely on innocent civilians, who are doing nothing wrong.

I would be interested in the percentage of illegal aliens who come across our Southern border, who are actually set up with cell phones and laptops; my sense would be, doggone few, because if they have cell phones and laptops, they most probably would be doing reasonably well, economically, in their countries of origin.

Color this, should it get fulfilled, just another illegal data grab against ordinary Americans.

Huawei: ARM memo tells staff to stop working with China’s tech giant

UK-based chip designer ARM has told staff it must suspend business with Huawei, according to internal documents obtained by the BBC.

ARM instructed employees to halt "all active contracts, support entitlements, and any pending engagements” with Huawei and its subsidiaries to comply with a recent US trade clampdown.

ARM's designs form the basis of most mobile device processors worldwide.

In a company memo, it said its designs contained “US origin technology”.

As a consequence, it believes it is affected by the Trump administration's ban.

One analyst described the move, if it became long-term, as an “insurmountable” blow to Huawei’s business.

Controversy as Trade Me sells 'It's ok to be white' T-shirts

Trade Me has been slammed for selling "It's okay to be white" stickers and T-shirts, with the Human Rights Commission saying there's no place for it.

Nelson seller vjm_publishing has both stickers and T-shirts for sale, saying the slogan will show buyers are "capable of thinking for yourself".

He describes the products as "Counter-signal the Marxists and other anti-white bigots with these decals, featuring the most successful /pol/ meme of 2017!

"An 'It's okay to be white' T-shirt will let people know that you are not a racist who thinks that a child can be born into sin if others with the same skin colour have acted badly in the past.

"Wear this shirt as a white person to troll your local Communists, or wear this shirt as a brown person to troll stuck-up middle-class urbanites. Either way it's funny!"

Trade Me told Newshub it doesn't intend to remove the post, and said the listing does not breach its rules and regulations.

UK's planned Espionage Act will crack down on Snowden-style Brit whistleblowers, suspected backdoored gear (cough, Huawei)

UK Home Secretary Sajid Javid has announced an Espionage Bill, charging ahead with new laws intended to criminalise any British copycats of Edward Snowden – and allowing a future crackdown on Huawei.

The bill, said Javid, "will bring together new and modernised powers, giving our security services the legal authority they need" to tackle foreign spies operating on UK soil.

"The areas this work will consider includes whether we follow allies in adopting a form of foreign agent registration and how we update our Official Secrets Acts for the 21st century," the Home Secretary said at New Scotland Yard earlier today.

He also called for new treason laws, which he said would be aimed at people who "betray" Britain, whether at home or abroad.

POMPEO TO IRAQ: STAND WITH US AGAINST IRAN OR MOVE ASIDE

SOURCE: MIDDLE EAST MONITOR
US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo warned Iraqi leaders that if they are not going to stand with the US against Iran, then they should stand aside, AP reported.

Pompeo’s message came last week as he met with Iraqi leaders to discuss the mounting tension between Washington and Tehran.

The news agency said the message was relayed to it by two Iraqi officials who refused to be named, pointing out that Pompeo’s visit to Baghdad came as intelligence had received information about Iranian threats to US interests in the Middle East.

“There are fears that Baghdad will get caught again in the conflict between Washington and Tehran after recovering from the effects of its war on the Islamic State,” the news site reported, in reference to Daesh.

Webmaster's Commentary:

One has to wonder if this unbearably tone-deaf rant has to do with Pompeo's taking graduate level classes from Israel's Prime Minister Netanyahu, in both hubris and chutzpah?!?

Iraqis have every moral, and reasonable right to be concerned about the US potentially using their country as a "base from which to attack Iran."

But there was one guy who most probably wouldn't have wanted to speak to Pompeo at all; that is, the most powerful man in Iraq who holds no office; that would, of course, be Muktada Al Sadr.

And this is because his coalition won control of Iraq's Parliament: how painfully ironic that had to be to the US government and Military?!?!?

He was also the spiritual leader of the Mahdi Army, against which the US was continuously fighting in Iraq. He was also the guy who said, that if US troops did not leave precisely at the moment specified by the SOFA agreement, US military would become "fair game" for his fighters.

His now being in control of the Iraqi Parliament, has to be one of the worst nightmares for the defense department and state department.

And of course, you didn't hear this from most of the Corporate Pressitutes, but yesterday, Moktada al Sadr, with other Iraqi clerics, made the statement:

Iraqi Shiite Figures warn that a US war against Iran, would cause Iraq to burn

The article goes on to state:

"Populist Shiite cleric Muqtada al-Sadr said any political party that would drag Iraq in a U.S.-Iran war “would be the enemy of the Iraqi people.” al-

Leading Iraqi Shiite figures warned Monday against attempts to pull their country into a war between the U.S. and Iran, saying it would turn Iraq into a battlefield yet again, just as it is on the path to recovery.

The warning came hours after a rocket slammed into Baghdad’s heavily fortified Green Zone, landing less than a mile from the sprawling U.S. Embassy. No injuries were reported and no group immediately claimed the Sunday night attack.

Shortly after, President Donald Trump tweeted a warning to Iran not to threaten the United States or it will face its “official end.”

So President Trump and Secretary Pompeo, a thought here, please; just a small caveat; it is said that Muktada al Sadr keeps in very close touch with the commanders of his former Mahdi Army.

IF the US declares war on Iran, and uses Iraqi soil from which to stage their attack, how long would it take this guy, to "get the band back together", in terms of US military having to fight off both Iranian military, and his Mahdi Army?!?

Gentlemen, the honest, short answer is, "not long at all".

I sure hope that at least ONE of you is getting more than a few sleepless nights about this potential.

CORPORATE MEDIA SETTING UP IRAN AS NEW "THREAT" THAT MUST BE CONFRONTED

Authored by Janine Jackson via Fairness & Accuracy In Reporting,

The Washington Post editorial’s headline (5/14/19) had the US “drifting” toward war with Iran—another example, as analyst Nima Shirazi quipped, of the “world’s superpower somehow having no agency over its own imperialism.”
If we can still call things “surreal,” that would describe watching corporate media do the same things they did in the run-up to the Iraq War, things they later disavowed: the credulous repetition of administration claims about the supposed threat; the reliance, for interpretation of “intelligence,” on officials with well known records for manipulating intelligence; the stenographic reporting of ‘troubling’ actions by the enemy state, that later have to be walked back.

Webmaster's Commentary:

Mr. President, a word, please; this hyped up, potential military confrontation with Iran, is one of the most ludicrous creations of your Administration.

We understand that Netanyahu, and Sheldon Adelson, are pushing you to the max to have the US start or trigger this war, as they have tried a number of administrations ago (so that the IDF doesn't have to fight Iran, but the costs in blood and money, will be totally those of the American people).

But the only reason for it, would be economic in nature, because Israel wants Iran broken up, so that it will get lost in its own internal squabbles, and not be a practical, economic threat any longer.

When citizens are defending their homeland, and there's lots of skin in the game, if you will, they will fight, to the death, if they have to, to keep the foreign fighters away from their doors.

And what if Russia and China weigh in on Iran's side?!?

They know, President Trump, what the US has in terms of weaponry, troop strength, manufacturing, and financing.

They also know that at least that we know of, the National Dept is running around $22 trillion right now.

The US government is broke, desperate, and may use this war to attempt to distract ordinary people from understanding, what has happened to the economy since your watch began.

For the monied, it's wonderful; for those of us who are not... not quite so good.

I fear that in order to feed these endless wars and occupations you have approved (by not pulling out our troops from some, or all of these quagmires) we are going to see the reinstitution of the draft in this country, to keep up military strength.

And THAT, sir, will be the moment the fertilizer hits the ventilation system.

And I say this, because many Americans are now awakened to the reality that all wars are economic in nature; how likely, then, are they to respond to a draft when they know the all wars are bankers' wars, and that financial institutions profit big-time, from wars and death?!?

This may lead to riots of such a nature that local police and military members are unable to put them down "with extreme prejudice".

Then what, Mr. President?!?

I would like to politely suggest, that if you are so impossibly incapable of "caging the rage and engaging" with world leaders, this needs to be made the responsibility of someone else, please, who can.

The "mesmerizing effect" you have on your base, doesn't cut it with world leaders who really understand the meaning of the word "negotiation", and always work to "be the adults in the room." with rational judgement, and a willingness to compromise.

Right now, on the international stage, two of those poster people, for being adults in the room, are Sergei Lavrov , and his boss, President Putin; they are constantly trying to take the "military/political edge off" of world situations, and look where negotiations can be win/win; unfortunately, sir, the world, right now, is seeing you churlish; impetuous; ill-mannered, and very much an arrested adolescent, wearing some very luxurious grown people's clothing.

ESTABLISHMENT NARRATIVE MANAGERS STRUGGLE WITH NEW SYRIA PLOT HOLES

SOURCE: CAITLIN JOHNSTONE

It has been about a week since the Working Group on Syria, Propaganda and Media (WGSPM) published a leaked internal document from the Organisation for the Prohibition of Chemical Weapons (OPCW) investigation into an alleged chemical attack in Douma, Syria last year. The document, whose authenticity the OPCW has confirmed, contends that the official story which was used to justify an air strike by the US, UK and France about poison gas being dropped on civilians from Syrian government helicopters is scientifically implausible, saying “In summary, observations at the scene of the two locations, together with subsequent analysis, suggest that there is a higher probability that both cylinders were manually placed at those two locations rather than being delivered from aircraft.”

Webmaster's Commentary:

Color me unsurprised at this revelation; The Russian/Syrian military have made short shrift of most of the jihadi extremists thee; the US narrative for actually BEING in Syria, never made a shred of sense, except for marking out a toe-hold in that country, for any upcoming military action against Iran.

ESCOBAR: "CLASH OF CIVILIZATIONS" OR CRISIS OF CIVILIZATION?

SOURCE: PEPE ESCOBAR VIA THE SAKER

Talk about a graphic display of soft power: Beijing this week hosted the Conference on Dialogue of Asian Civilizations.

Organized under the direct supervision of President Xi Jinping it took place amid an “Asian Culture Carnival.” Sure, there were dubious, kitschy and syrupy overtones, but what really mattered was what Xi himself had to say to China and all of Asia.

In his keynote speech, the Chinese leader essentially stressed that one civilization forcing itself upon another is “foolish” and “disastrous.” In Xi’s concept of a dialogue of civilizations, he referred to the New Silk Roads, or Belt and Road Initiative (BRI), as programs that “have expanded the channels for communication exchanges.”

Xi’s composure and rationality present a stark, contrasting message to US President Donald Trump’s “Make America Great Again” campaign.

WEST VS EAST AND SOUTH

Webmaster's Commentary:

I have always thought highly of Pepe Escobar, and consider what he has to say very well nuanced, and intelligent; but this Administration's goose-stepping, mind-numbed, attitude of "my way or the highway" that is always talking up this "clash of civilizations, doesn't seem to realize that there can, and should be, "A Collaboration of Civilizations", for the sake of peace, and the future of this planet.

I know that many of you who read "WRH" have kids around them they love and adore; our little family of two has a number of kids like that, in our extended family, who are just discovering the practical magic of intellectual growth, and a positive sense of self.

I want these kids to grow and prosper, and find their place in the world as they mature; I am certain that the Chinese people want that for their kids as well.

But this consistent, militaristic posturing by the US government, coupled with the reality, that its military doesn't have the weaponry; the money; the manufacturing, or the troop strength, to actually win a positive result in a war with China; and one can see, through the examples of history, how trade wars can mushroom quickly into shooting wars.

I do not want to see the US continue to attempt to resolve all of its geopolitical differences with war, which seems, at this point in the Trump Administration, to be the only thing it believes it can use to do that.

And we have seen "just how well" that "solution" has worked out in Afghanistan; Iraq; Syria; Yemen and Libya; and the other "less covered US engendered wars. the short answer is, it has not, and Lord, please save us from one more damned quagmire.

Mr. President, the chances of us meeting socially are severely limited; I am not one of the monied, nor connected, except for being connected to the ideal that it IS possible to resolve our differences without war.

CITIES ARE ADOPTING REAL-TIME FACIAL SURVEILLANCE SYSTEMS

SOURCE: TECHNOCRACY.NEWS
Because there is no Federal legislation preventing its use, cities are gobbling up China-style facial recognition systems. Individual cities can easily block this surveillance technology, but citizens are sound asleep and completely oblivious to the destruction of their own civil liberties. ? TN Editor
Civil Liberties Activists trying to inspire alarm about the authoritarian potential of facial recognition technology often point to China, where some police departments use systems that can spot suspects who show their faces in public. A report from Georgetown researchers on Thursday suggests Americans should also focus their concern closer to home.

The report says agencies in Chicago and Detroit have bought real-time facial recognition systems. Chicago claims it has not used its system; Detroit says it is not using its system currently. But no federal or state law would prevent use of the technology.

Webmaster's Commentary:

What is going to keep America safe from crime?!? I really don't think that these real-time surveillance is going to cure the problem.

What will cure it, is, initially removing the stigma and curse, of low expectations, both in schools and in families, and the common culture, for our ALL of our kids.

Remember that brilliant James Olmos film, "Stand and deliver"?!? This was based on a true story, where a high school math teacher gets his kids, primarily Hispanic, to register for a math championship, which they won;and then lost, because the school "testmeisters" believed that they had cheated, somehow, without a shred of evidence.

These kids came back for a second competition, and won again, and this time, the win was allowed to stand; one teacher had made them proud, and gave them the knowledge they were really capable of doing anything to which they set their minds.

Would that all teachers in this country believed that.

Too many of our children "graduate" from high school, illiterate; innumerate; and lack the ability for critical thinking, which are all desperately needed for anyone to succeed in this society. This has to change.

Then, we need to have a thriving economy, not just for the monied; but also, for those just starting out in the work force, so that they can get decent jobs which actually matter.

We also need strong families, and strong social/religious institutions, where kids learn to express themselves in a loving, kind, manner, to keep them from getting into gangs, where time is somewhat structured for them, but in a way that structured time, doesn't feel "like a prison".

And one thing I have noticed about kids acting out; it never seems to be at a Waldorf School; or a Montessori school; it seems to happen, over and over, at our public schools.

And the worst possible outcome of a kid acting out today, is to be sentenced to a private, juvenile detention facility.

MILLIONS OF INSTAGRAM INFLUENCERS HAD THEIR PRIVATE CONTACT DATA SCRAPED AND EXPOSED

SOURCE: TECHCRUNCH.COM
A massive database containing contact information of millions of Instagram influencers, celebrities and brand accounts has been found online.

The database, hosted by Amazon Web Services, was left exposed and without a password allowing anyone to look inside. At the time of writing, the database had over 49 million records — but was growing by the hour.

From a brief review of the data, each record contained public data scraped from influencer Instagram accounts, including their bio, profile picture, the number of followers they have, if they’re verified and their location by city and country, but also contained their private contact information, such as the Instagram account owner’s email address and phone number.

OUTRAGE AS TEXAS SENATE PASSES 'UNCONSTITUTIONAL' BILL THAT WOULD HIT PIPELINE PROTESTORS WITH UP TO 10 YEARS IN PRISON

Sparking outcry from indigenous tribes and environmental groups, the Texas state Senate on Monday passed industry-backed Republican legislation that would hit pipeline protestors with a third-degree felony and up to ten years in prison.

"Here in Texas, members of the legislative body are looking to pass laws that harshly criminalize free speech and the right to protest," Juan Mancias, Tribal Elder with the Carrizo Comecrudo Tribe of Texas, said in a statement.

"We will continue to support and fight beside the indigenous communities in Texas to make sure these unconstitutional laws do not stand."
—Dallas Goldtooth, Indigenous Environmental Network.

Webmaster's Commentary:

I hope that this law, as an egregious affront to free speech, peaceful protests, and the First Amendment to the Constitution, is heard at the Supreme Court level, and tossed on its head.

The other issue that has to be considered, is how many times, these protestors have been proven right, in terms of concerns of pipeline leakage or breakage, which was absolutely not sabotage.

Now It's Comey Vs. Lynch: Someone's Lying Again

Former Attorney General Loretta Lynch accused former FBI Director James Comey of lying about whether she told him to refer to the Hillary Clinton email investigation as a "matter" instead of an investigation in a September 2015 meeting.

While testifying last year at a closed-door House Oversight Committee hearing last June, Comey said Lynch had pressured him to minimize the significance of the Clinton email probe - an encounter which he says left him questioning her impartiality, and - along with Lynch's clandestine tarmac meeting on a hot summer's day in 2016 - contributed to his decision to hold a July 2016 press conference announcing the FBI's conclusions.

"The attorney general had directed me not to call it an investigation, but instead to call it a matter, which confused me and concerned me," said Comey. "That was one of the bricks in the load that led me to conclude, ‘I have to step away from the department if we’re to close this case credibly.'"

TRUCKERS FACE YEARS IN PRISON FOR TRANSPORTING LEGAL HEMP BECAUSE OF COPS 'JUST DOING THEIR JOBS'

Because government is the antithesis to freedom, industrial hemp has been banned nationwide since 1937 ostensibly due to the plant’s similarities to marijuana. Many have speculated that this move was also due to the fact that cannabis is in direct competition with the pharmaceutical industry by providing far safer alternative treatments as well as directly competing with the petrochemical industry. However, all this changed in December after President Donald Trump signed the Agriculture Improvement act of 2018, legalizing industrial hemp on a national scale. But thanks to a police state, dependent on locking people in cages for a plant, three truckers in Idaho are facing down horrific prison sentences for carrying it.

FACEBOOK ADMITS ISRAELI SOCIAL MANIPULATION COMPANY SPENT $800,000 TO INFLUENCE AFRICAN ELECTIONS

SOURCE: ZERO HEDGE
In keeping with their spectacular reputation of violating privacy and rigging elections, Facebook has said that it removed "hundreds of accounts" from Facebook and Instagram that were used to influence elections in Africa, according to CNN. Only it wasn't Russia who was behind this latest intervention, but Israel.
Archimedes Group, an Israeli company, reportedly spent more than $800,000 in advertising (far more than the Kremlin allegedly spent on its "ad campaign" to crush Hillary Clinton and get Trump elected) and ran accounts that had nearly 3 million followers, for the purpose of targeting African elections. The group primarily targeted Nigeria, Senegal, Togo, Angola, Niger and Tunisia.

For perspective, the $800,000 reportedly spent by the group compares to the $100,000 that has been claimed by the U.S. mainstream media to have been spent for ‘Russian bots’ used to allegedly sway the 2016 US presidential election, according to RT.

Webmaster's Commentary:

THE NORMALIZATION AND INSTITUTIONALIZATION OF FRAUD

SOURCE: CHARLES HUGH SMITH
Normalizing and institutionalizing fraud undermines the foundations of the economy and the financial system.

I am indebted to Manoj Samanta (twitter: @flation_debate) for the insightful concept the commoditization of fraud. The first step in the commoditization of fraud is to normalize fraud as Business as Usual (BAU) to the point that it's no longer viewed as "wrong," destructive or an aberration of evil-doers but as an accepted way to maximize gain and offload risk onto others.

The last step in the process is to institutionalize fraud within central banking and government policies.

How is selling shares in a money-losing corporation at outlandish valuations not the commoditization of fraud? The fraud has been normalized into a game of hoping that greater fools will be so enamored of the normalized fraud that they'll take the IPO shares off your hands at ever-higher valuations until the fraud breaks down.

PRESCRIPTION FOR VIOLENCE: THE CORRESPONDING RISE OF ANTIDEPRESSANTS, SSRIS & MASS SHOOTINGS

Seemingly every time a mass shooting occurs, whether it’s at a synagogue in Pittsburgh or a nightclub in Orlando, the anti-gun media and politicians have a knee-jerk response – they blame the tragedy solely on the tool used, namely firearms, and focus all of their proposed “solutions” on more laws, ignoring that the murderer already broke numerous laws when they committed their atrocity.

Israel claims its troops didn't kill paraplegic Palestinian

JERUSALEM (AP) — The Israeli army on Friday closed a criminal investigation into the death of a paraplegic Palestinian man shot while demonstrating along Gaza's border with Israel in 2017, saying the probe found "no evidence" that its soldiers fired the fatal bullet.

The army described the protest in which 29-year-old Ibrahim Abu Thraya was killed as a "violent riot," and said troops responded by opening fire toward the lower body parts of "main instigators."

As part of its investigation, the military said it tried to obtain the bullet that killed Abu Thraya, but Palestinian authorities denied its request.

Witnesses at the time said no gunfire came from the Palestinian side. Palestinians and human rights groups claimed he was shot by an Israeli sniper

Webmaster's Commentary:

US Gov't Now Openly Admits Pentagon Asks for Money to Directly Fund Terrorists

Source: Matt Agorist @ The Free Thought Project

(Support Free Thought) - For the last several decades, the US government has openly funded, supported, and armed various terrorist networks throughout the world to forward an agenda of destabilization and proxy war. It is not a secret, nor a conspiracy theory—America arms bad guys. The situation has gotten so overtly corrupt that the government just admitted the Pentagon asked Congress for funding to reimburse terrorists for their transportation and other expenses. Seriously.

“The Defense Department requested fiscal 2020 funding to support certain reconciliation activities, including logistic support for members of the Taliban and, in March 2019, they sent a notification letter to the Committee on using fiscal year 2019 funds for similar activities,” a spokesman for House Appropriations subcommittee on Defense Chairman Peter J. Visclosky (D-Ind.) told Roll Call.

Webmaster's Commentary:

Great; how swell!!

Seriously; if the US government is funding terrorists, to achieve particular geopolitical outcomes, our government stinks, and it is high time to fire them (peacefully), by handing them their hats, come the next election day.

The only problem with that, is that computers make election fraud so easy, that many times, particularly close races can be "turned" in one or another candidates' favor.

And if you have not yet seen the video, "Hacking Democracy", with all the brouhaha going on about the 2020 election cycle, you need to see this now.

Newly Released FBI Docs Shed Light on Apparent Mossad Foreknowledge of 9/11 Attacks

Source: Mint Press

NEW YORK — For nearly two decades, one of the most overlooked and little known arrests made in the aftermath of the September 11 attacks was that of the so-called “High Fivers,” or the “Dancing Israelis.” However, new information released by the FBI on May 7 has brought fresh scrutiny to the possibility that the “Dancing Israelis,” at least two of whom were known Mossad operatives, had prior knowledge of the attacks on the World Trade Center.

Was Lyme disease created by William Burgdorferi as part of a US bioweapons research program?

One of the most under-diagnosed illnesses in the world, Lyme disease is a growing health problem for many nations, especially in the northern hemisphere. Ever since the Dr. Rath Research Institute started its scientific work on the natural treatment of this condition, my colleagues and I have found it puzzling that a bacterium with such widespread and devastating consequences as Borrelia could somehow have escaped the serious attention of medical researchers for more than a century. While a German physician, Alfred Buchwald, was the first to document the disease in a study in 1883, albeit essentially describing it as a chronic inflammation of the skin, the Lyme disease syndrome as we now understand it was not officially recognized until 1975 when a cluster of cases was identified in the United States. Even today, it remains the case that conventional medicine has no reliably effective treatment for the illness.

Webmaster's Commentary:

I would not put it past the US military, that this may have originated as a "biological weapon of mass destruction."

Iranian Special Forces Have Not Attacked Americans Since the 1990s

Source: deepstateblog.org

In the growing confrontation between the United States and Iran, the Iranian special forces, known as the Qods Force, will play a leading role in defending Iran.

[For more on the Qods Force and the Iranian Ministry of Intelligence and Security, click here.]

While the U.S. officials have claimed knowledge of specific and credible threats against American interests, the Iranians do not have a record of attack Americans, at least not recently.

A 2017 Congressional Research Service report lists all known Iranian attacks or planned attacks on Western targets. Only three of them took place in the 21st century. Only one took place in America and none resulted in the death or injury to any American.

Webmaster's Commentary:

Iran has not attacked Americans recently, because they understand, with a sure and certain knowledge, that such an act will result in Israel's the US's turning their country into a sea of molten glass, before things are over.

There have been stories around the end of last week, where President Trump has informed his aides that he does not want a military conflict with Iran. https://www.reuters.com/article/us-usa-iran-trump/trump-tells-aides-he-d....

But his big worry is, will the state of Israel listen?!?

My thought is, hell no.

They have gotten him close to a commitment, from which he appears to be edging away right now, and time... is not on Israel's side.

Do not be surprised to see an Israeli-generated false flag attack to happen in the week and days to come, with which to smear Iran, and "get the party started." Israel has full knowledge of where US troops are in the region, and it appears to me, that some of them will, unfortunately, become the "sacrificial lambs" to ensure Israel's game plan.

Germany votes to define BDS as anti-Semitic

Source: Middle East Monitor

Germany today voted to define the Boycott, Divestment and Sanctions (BDS) movement as anti-Semitic, becoming the first major European parliament to do so.

The German parliament – known as the Bundestag – this afternoon voted to accept a motion defining BDS as anti-Semitic. The motion, “Resist the BDS Movement – Fighting Antisemitism,” was sponsored by the Bundestag’s two largest parties – Chancellor Angela Merkel’s Christian-Democratic Union and the Social Democrat party – as well as the Green Party and the Free Democratic Party.

The text of the motion stated that “the German Bundestag is unwavering in its commitment to condemn and combat anti-Semitic in all its forms,” stressing it will oppose “anyone who defames people because of their Jewish identity […] questions the right of the Jewish and democratic state of Israel to exist or Israel’s right to defend itself.”

Webmaster's Commentary:

One cannot logically conflate Judaism... with the actions of the Israeli state; the people in the Knesset, must be jumping for joy right now, in their happiness.

What this ruling has done, has been to further destroy any possibility of a meaningful, contiguous Palestinian state.

Iraqi Parliament to Vote on Bill That Would Ban US Military Troops From Iraq

Source: Anti Media

(ANTIWAR.COM) — Iraq has spent the better share of the last 16 years under US military occupation. Despite this, time and again US-Iraqi relations have come to be defined by US hostility toward neighboring Iran, and Iraq’s desire to not get mixed up in that.

So while Iraq’s parliament was already bristling under Pentagon talk of staying in Iraq, and Trump saying that the US was staying in Iraq to “keep an eye on Iran,” the recent escalation of US rhetoric about a war against Iran has sparked action within parliament.

On Saturday, Iraq will be voting on a bill that would aim to expel all foreign troops from Iraqi soil, and singles out US troops in particular as needing to leave. The bill is endorsed by Iraq’s top two Shi’ite blocs, and is expected to pass fairly easily.

Webmaster's Commentary:

All well and good; but how is the Iraqi Parliament going to be able to make this work, particularly if escalation against Iran creates a shooting war?!?

Debt collectors chase Auckland teen for overdue library book

A 13-year-old boy was taken to the debt collectors over a missing library book.

Crime novel Dark River Rising by Roger Johns was taken out from the Auckland Central Library by Jon Dow's son Ryan and not returned.

An email from Baycorp, a debt collection agency, was addressed to Ryan and demanded he get in touch with them over an overdue library replacement fee.

The fee was related to the replacement cost for a missing book.

Auckland libraries agreed to pull it back but only after the family told them they were going to the media, he said.

FRANCE TAKES UNPRECEDENTED ACTION AGAINST REPORTERS WHO PUBLISHED SECRET GOVERNMENT DOCUMENT

SOURCE: THE INTERCEPT

JOURNALISTS IN FRANCE are facing potential jail sentences in an unprecedented case over their handling of secret documents detailing the country’s involvement in the Yemen conflict.

Earlier this week, a reporter from Radio France and the co-founders of Paris-based investigative news organization Disclose were called in for questioning at the offices of the General Directorate for Internal Security, known as the DGSI, an organization that is tasked with fighting terrorism, espionage, and other domestic threats, similar in function to the FBI in the United States.

The two news organizations published stories in April – together with The Intercept, Mediapart, ARTE Info, and Konbini News – that revealed the vast amount of French, British, and American military equipment sold to Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates and subsequently used by those nations to wage war in Yemen.

Webmaster's Commentary:

Hey, France and Britain didn't want to miss out on this whirlwind opportunity, to get its weapons sold to the Saudi military, no matter that the final outcomes of these sales...looked like this... (warning; this may a "lose your lunch" moment, unless you love to see dead, and dying, children):

Images: Yemeni kids, murdered or crippled for life, courtesy of US/Saudi war crimes in Yemen.

Horrifying images of starving children (courtesy of the Saudi/US port blockade)

YeImages: Yemeni children dying of cholera, because all the clean water systems have been systematically destroyed, courtesy of US/Saudi bombing

And I challenge France's President Macron, and the US President, President Trump, to really look at these images; if you are not moved by them, you have lost any small shred of humanity you might have once had, but got surgically removed, when it was time for your first run at office.

Which, of course, leads us to the Next Big War; the coming war with Iran.

President Trump, you have been "Boltonized" into believing that such a war would be "good" for the US, when the mechanics of what has happened here, is that you have simply outsourced your Middle East policy to Israel, and let them have free-reign control over US policy in the region; this means infinitely more bloodshed, and a possible US resurrection of the draft in this country.

To President Macron and President Trump; there are times when US, French, and Israeli policy need to align; but gentlemen, I swear to you both, that this is one moment, in your political careers, when that is the worst possible thing you could do to the people you represent.

CONGRESSMAN CALLS FOR BANNING BITCOIN BECAUSE IT 'TAKES POWER' FROM THE CORRUPT FEDERAL RESERVE

SOURCE: MATT AGORIST @ THE FREE THOUGHT PROJECT
(Support Free Thought) - In 2017, the state of Arizona went after the federal government’s attack on gold and silver by eliminating the capital gains taxes on precious metals. This paved the way to deal a massive blow to the Federal Reserve and end their monopoly on money. While the precious metals move was certainly noteworthy, legislation passed last year by the Arizona Senate was nothing short of revolutionary as it officially recognized cryptocurrencies as money by allowing residents to pay their taxes in it. But when you challenge the Federal Reserve, they fight back.

Webmaster's Commentary:

The Federal Reserve, is nothing more than a very sophisticated money laundering system, perpetrated by the already monied, on the rest of us.

US ILLEGALLY EVICTS PROTECTORS FROM VENEZUELAN EMBASSY

The Trump administration has been trying to engineer an unlawful coup and regime change in Venezuela. After U.S. puppet Juan Guaidó declared himself “interim president” of Venezuela on January 23, high Trump officials quickly ratified his declaration. The U.S. government seeks to illegally install Guaidó and a new ambassador in the D.C. embassy as part of its coup attempt.

After cutting off electricity and refusing to allow food and water to the protectors, agents from the Secret Service, State Department and Washington, D.C., police tried to raid the embassy on May 13. They read from an unsigned piece of paper titled “Trespassing Notice,” which stated that the U.S. government recognized Guaidó as president of Venezuela and Carlos Vecchio as Venezuelan ambassador to the United States.

FT Agrees With Hughes, Says US Must Break Up Facebook 'Monopoly' In Editorial

Europe and the UK have been much more proactive in trying to hold tech giants accountable than the US, which probably has something to do with the fact that most of these companies are American firms. So it's hardly a surprise that an editorial written by Facebook co-founder Chris Hughes, Mark Zuckerberg's former college roommate, resonated more on the other side of the pond.

In an editorial published by the FT, perhaps Europe's most venerable financial news publication, the paper argued that European capitals must lead the charge, but that ultimately, the US must wake up and start regulating.

GARDASIL’S FRAUDULENT RESEARCH REVEALED: THERE WILL BE LEGAL CONSEQUENCES, SAYS ATTORNEY ROBERT F. KENNEDY JR.

BY CATHERINE J. FROMPOVICH
Attorney Robert F. Kennedy Jr., Children’s Health Defense’s Chairman and Chief Legal Counsel, finally has “put on the gloves” and is ready to fight Big Pharma’s Merck & Co., Inc. regarding the falsified and fraudulent research they undertook and presented to the CDC/FDA for the licensure of the HPV vaccine Gardasil®.

After reading the transcript of Mr. Kennedy’s video, I could not help but spotlight some of the more apparently shocking facts he and his team uncovered in their exposé of the fraud that apparently took place during Merck’s testing of the Gardasil® vaccine.

Much of the information below is taken from various parts of the video/transcript, which I request readers refer to here. This may read out of context, but it falls together to tell a long story as briefly as possible.

Webmaster's Commentary:

Drug companies frequently falsify their research, in order to get drugs on the marketplace, and reap massive profits from them.

And BTW, parents of infants or young children, please DEMAND, from your physician, a copy of the package insert before your kid is given a DTAP vaccine; you need to know precisely what the manufacturer is saying about the potential harm to your kid, this drug may cause.

MEXICAN JOURNALIST UNDER GOVERNMENT PROTECTION PLAN SHOT DEAD

SOURCE: ALJAZEERA

Blood-soaked body of Francisco Romero, fifth journalist to be killed this year, was found on a pavement in his hometown.

A Mexican journalist enrolled in a federal protection programme has been shot dead, the fifth reporter to be killed this year in one of the most dangerous countries for the press.

The blood-soaked body of crime reporter Francisco Romero was found on a pavement outside a nightclub in his hometown of Playa del Carmen along Mexico's Caribbean coast on Thursday, authorities said.

Romero ran a Facebook-based news site called "Ocurrio Aqui" (It Happened Here) that covers local politics and crime and had more than 17,000 followers. He also worked for one of the state's leading newspapers, Quintana Roo Hoy.

The state prosecutor's office opened a homicide investigation, saying Romero had filed a complaint on April 12 over threats he had received. The source of those threats was not specified.

Webmaster's Commentary:

Please take Mexico off your list for any vacation, or convention outings; this place can be hazardous to one's health, even if you are an innocent, with no cartel affiliations\ whatsoever.

CONGRESS WANTS TO STEAL $1.68 BILLION FROM IRAN

It’s not enough to want untold thousands to die and the country destroyed, now neocons in Congress want to steal more than a billion and a half dollars from Iran as compensation for something somebody else did or didn’t do.

From the Daily Caller:

A bipartisan group of lawmakers introduced legislation Thursday to make $1.68 billion worth of Iranian funds available to the families of 241 American servicemen killed in the 1983 suicide bombing on a Marine base in Beirut, Lebanon.

In Trump Bizarro World, as in the Obama and Bush versions of the same, reality and facts are only applicable when they serve the agenda.

Webmaster's Commentary:

This... is desperation on the cusp of madness; and pray tell, how was Iran responsible for this horrible event?!>? Where, please, are those oft-neglected words, logic and proof, please?!?

Would they do something like this, understanding that the response from the US, and Israel be destroying their country with multiple nuclear strikes?

The short answer, of course, is HELL no.

But I DO know another country that would have had utterly zero problem in creating such an event; that country, of course, would be Israel, because they have done it before.

In fact, were I a betting person, I would almost be willing to bet that the alleged "bombs" Iran was supposed to have left in Syria, will soon be triggered by Israel's Mossad.

And if you think for one moment that this kind of despicable behaviour would be "off the books" for Mossad, you had better think again.

“Treason!” – Barr finds “government power was used to spy on American citizens

In his first pair of interviews since being sworn in, Attorney General Barr told Fox News and WSJ that he was pursuing the investigation into the origins of the Trump-Russia probe – an investigation he has tasked

John Durham, the US Attorney from Connecticut, with leading – because Americans need to know whether the government “put a thumb on the scale” to try and undermine President Trump both during the campaign and during the first two years of his term, just like “we need to ensure that foreign actors don’t influence the outcome of our elections.”

Separately, he told WSJ that “government power was used to spy on American citizens…I can’t imagine any world where we wouldn’t take a look and make sure that was done properly.”

Barr has doubled-down on using the term ‘spying’, which has angered Democrats, after first using it during Senate committee testimony from April 10, where he uttered the now-infamous phrase “I think spying did occur.”

The Cakes of Wrath

FOR 40 years, the good ladies of the Women’s Institute have been washing their hands and putting on their pinnies to bake cakes and biscuits for the terminally ill patients at the Loros hospice in Leicestershire.

They have now been told, however, that their confectionery gifts are no longer welcome. Loros (Leicestershire and Rutland Organisation for the Relief Of Suffering) is not allowed to accept them because members’ kitchens have not been visited and approved for cleanliness by health inspectors.

Glenice Wignall, 75, said she had never encountered problems with health and safety in three decades with the WI. And Loros manager Helen Williams said: ‘We have loved receiving donations from so many generous supporters but unfortunately this is a decision made by the local authority, not by our organisation.’

Webmaster's Commentary:

Boy sent home from anti-bullying day for not wearing enough pink

A boy has been sent home from school today for "not wearing enough pink" on Pink Shirt Day.

Today is anti-bullying day and to support the day people across New Zealand - including dozens of school students - have been wearing pink.

But the day of anti-bullying turned sour for an Auckland family when Helensville Primary School sent a boy home for not wearing enough pink.

The boy's mother Claire Lealiifano took to Facebook to say her son had been sent home to change.

Students were told they could wear pink in support of the day or they could wear their school uniform.

The mum said her sons looked for as much pink clothing as they could find.

"Apparently what he was wearing wasn't good enough. So the head of the year sent him home to get changed without checking I was home," Lealiifano said.

Chelsea Manning is jailed AGAIN after telling a judge she would 'rather STARVE to death' than testify before a grand jury investigating Wikileaks

Former Army intelligence analyst Chelsea Manning has been sent to jail - again - for refusing to testify to a grand jury.

A judge on Thursday ordered Manning back to the Alexandria Detention Center until she agrees to testify to a grand jury investigating Wikileaks or until the grand jury term expires in 18 months.

Manning, 31, has already served two months in jail but was released last week when that grand jury term expired.

Judge Anthony Trenga was not impressed with her rationale and said that jail time may cause her to reflect differently on the issue.

Manning told the judge that she would 'rather starve to death' than change her opinion.

Webmaster's Commentary:

IF she does die in jail (and I am hoping this will not happen), the Grand Jury will be unable to bring charges against Assange.

Saudis Claim Iran Ordered Aramco Pipeline Drone Attack

Saudi Arabia on Thursday blamed Iran for ordering an attack early this week on two Aramco pipeline booster stations, a strike that was intended as part of a broader sabotage campaign to disrupt world oil supplies, according to Saudi Energy Minister Khalid al-Falih.

The drone attacks came one day after a string of attacks on two Saudi oil tankers and two other vessels in the Strait of Hormuz, and caused the temporary closure of a vital east-west pipeline traversing the kingdom, since reopened.

Prince Khalid Bin Salman, the vice minister for defense and brother of the crown prince MbS, described Yemen's Houthis - which were believed to have launched the drone attack - of being used as an "Iranian" tool advancing Tehran's aggression and hegemony in the region.

In a tweet, he said the Houthi militias “are merely a tool that Iran’s regime uses to implement its expansionist agenda in the region, and not to protect the people of Yemen as the Houthis falsely claim”.

Webmaster's Commentary:

So, Prince Khalid, you have absolutely zero evidence for your claim, but you are going to make the assertion anyway.

And please inform me, sir, why the Yemeni people should love having their schools, homes, and hospitals, bombed to rubble, and their children, and families killed or maimed for life by the never-ending Saudi bombing runs, done with US military "guidance"?

I hate posting this image, but I think Americans need to see what US/Saudi war crimes look like again; Warning: graphic, folks:

Dead and maimed Yemeni children, courtesy of Saudi airstrikes

Just in case you have missed the point here, what the US and Saudi Arabia are doing in Yemen are tantamount to war crimes, and these atrocious acts which will do nothing to resolve the issue.

That Time John Bolton Said It's Good To Lie About War

Authored by Caitlin Johnstone via Medium.com,

Journalist Whitney Webb recently tweeted a 2010 video clip I’d never seen before featuring US National Security Advisor John Bolton defending the use of deception in advancing military agendas, which highlights something we should all be paying attention to as Trump administration foreign policy becomes increasingly "Boltonized".

On a December 2010 episode of Fox News’ Freedom Watch, Bolton and the show’s host Andrew Napolitano were debating about recent WikiLeaks publications, and naturally the subject of government secrecy came up.

“Now I want to make the case for secrecy in government when it comes to the conduct of national security affairs, and possibly for deception where that’s appropriate,” Bolton said. “You know Winston Churchill said during World War Two that in wartime truth is so important it should be surrounded by a bodyguard of lies.”

“Do you really believe that?” asked an incredulous Napolitano.

Webmaster's Commentary:

How is US national security hurt, in any way, by Iran, when they know that any Iranian action would result in a catastrophic turning of their country into molten glass?!?

The short answer is, they wouldn't

What 50 Countries Are Backing Guaidó? Who Knows? Who Cares? If The Media Say It Enough It Must Be True

Authored by Dave Lindorff via Counterpunch.org,

American media still refer to Juan Guaidó, America’s hand-picked “legitimate leader” or “legitimate president” of Venezuela, as having an “administration.”

The truth is that his “administration” - consisting of advisors and other opposition leaders - are all either arrested and being held by the government, hiding, seeking asylum in various foreign embassies (Spanish, Italian, Brazilian and Argentinian) in the capital of Caracas, or have fled to other countries like Brazil and Colombia.

Guaidó, apparently a government of one, has so far avoided arrest probably because the elected Venezuelan President Maduro doesn’t want to give the US an excuse to try and rescue him, or to launch military actions of some kind against Venezuela as the White House keeps threatening to do.

Webmaster's Commentary:

The Federal media mythmakers and their presstitutes in this country, need to realize that the more they choose not to report the truth, intelligent people will look elsewhere to find it; like WRH.

Venezuela's regime change, if and when it does come about, is simply about the vast, proven oil reserves here, and the US government's money-lust, to insure that all of this oil will be bought only with US dollars.

The Lunacy Of Waging A War On Iran Which China And Russia Will Win

The scare mongering about an attack on Iran continues. Bolton must be laughing his ass off how easy he can play the issue based on nothing. He simply counters any debunking of the alleged 'thread from Iran' by upping the ante. Yesterday a British general denied that any such threat exists in the area of his responsibility:

“No – there’s been no increased threat from Iranian-backed forces in Iraq and Syria,” Maj. Gen. Christopher Ghika, deputy commander of Operation Inherent Resolve (OIR), the coalition responsible for counter-terrorist operations against ISIS in Iraq and Syria, said in a video briefing, according to the Guardian.

Today Bolton countered that by again raising the noise level around the imaginary threat:

The U.S. Embassy in Iraq says the State Department has ordered all non-essential, non-emergency government staff to leave the country right away amid escalating tensions with Iran.

Webmaster's Commentary:

The most intelligent thing President Trump could do right now, would be handing Bolton his hat; unfortunately, the Israeli government wants this war in the worst possible way, and seeing that they have turned Bolton so brilliantly to their casus belli (of course, filled with unsubstantiated rumors, which no one in any government can yet define), I am concerned that Trump may well take action against Iran, because he doesn't really understand the costs and consequences of moving forward with it.

US pulls staff from Iraq, says Iran gave ‘blessing’ for tanker attack

Helicopters ferried US staff from the American embassy in Baghdad on Wednesday out of apparent concern about perceived threats from Iran, which US sources believe encouraged Sunday’s attacks on four oil tankers in the Gulf, Reuters reports.

The sabotage of the tankers, for which no one has claimed responsibility, and Saudi Arabia’s announcement on Tuesday that armed drones hit two of its oil pumping stations have raised concerns Washington and Tehran may be inching toward conflict.

A US government source said American security experts believe Iran gave its “blessing” to tanker attacks, which hit two Saudi crude oil tankers, a UAE-flagged fuel bunker barge and a Norwegian-registered oil products tanker off Fujeirah near the Strait of Hormuz.

The source said the United States believes Iran’s role was one of actively encouraging militants but indicated the United States does not now have evidence that Iranian personnel played any direct operational role.

Webmaster's Commentary:

OK, let me get my head wrapped around this.

What does the word "blessing" mean, here, please?!? That Iran gave the Houthis or other groups the technological know-how to carry off the attack, or was it a simply a "wish well" for the operation, couched in spiritual language?!? Considering the decades-old animosity between Iran, Israel, and Saudi Arabia, and the cloud of propaganda Saudi-Arabia, the US and Israel have been spewing, like squid ink, against Iran, I wouldn't necessarily bet against it.

And if the Iranians did this, why would they be asking for an investigation of the incident?!? The short answer is, they wouldn't, and would attempt to do everything within their power to prevent such an investigation from moving forward.

And Middle East Monitor, your editorial board needs a refresher course in Journalism 101; if you have a source, but chose not to name them, you really shouldn't run with a story like this, because it is worse than no story at all.

I sincerely hope and pray that you all understand the gravity of making such a claim with nothing more behind it than what appears to be a concocted rumor, with zero attribution.

Please, things are volatile enough in the region, that one badly misrepresented issue, or bit of incendiary language, could very well result in the start of a shooting war between Iran, the US and Israel.

And as a Christian pacifist activist, I am going to do my level best to see that this doesn't happen, because it is the worst possible outcome for a country I care about greatly; my home, the unhinged, surveilled state of Amerika.

Yes, I still care.

And to those in the various alphabet soup agencies tasked with reading my posts, you will have to collectively forgive me, that I never advocate violence, but always prefer deliberate, moral, hard-one negotiations, with which this country should be handling its geopolitical issues.

Riyadh submits letter to UN Security Council denouncing Iran and Houthis

Saudi Arabia submitted on Wednesday a letter to the United Nations Security Council, in which it held Iran and the Yemeni Houthi group responsible for targeting their oil facilities on Tuesday.

The letter was handed over by the Permanent Representative of Saudi Arabia to the United Nations, Abdallah Al-Mouallimi, according to Saudi TV channel Al Arabiya.

The letter included “Saudi Arabia’s holding of Iran and the Houthi militias it supports fully responsible for Tuesday’s attack on the kingdom’s oil facilities.”

According to the same source, a joint message was sent from Saudi Arabia and the UAE to the UN Security Council and UN Secretary-General António Guterres, on the attack and sabotage operation that occurred last Sunday against four ships in the international sea off the UAE’s territorial sea and coasts.

Webmaster's Commentary:

IF in fact the Houthis actually did this damage to these ships (and of course, there is zero corroboration from surveillance camera footage), it means that they have become a lot more tough, and media-saavy than Saudi Arabia ever thought they could.

But my question is, why in the name of heaven would the Iranians do this, when they knew that there well could be one "mother of all repercussions", militarily, from Saudi Arabia; Israel; and the US?!?

The short answer is, they wouldn't. And if Iranians actually bombed these ships, they would be pieces of floating rubble by now.

After India province, Islamic State proclaims a new province in Pakistan

The group calling itself the Islamic State has announced the establishment of a new overseas province in Pakistan, just days after proclaiming another new overseas province in northern India. Until recently, the Islamic State’s operations in Asia were conducted under the banner of the Islamic State – Khorasan Province, or IS-KP. The shadowy group was founded in early 2015 and was led by former Taliban warlords who pledged allegiance to Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi, the spiritual leader and self-proclaimed emir of the Islamic State. Since that time, at least two of IS-KP’s leaders have been killed by United States forces, while the group has been engaged in a war against rival militant groups in Afghanistan and Pakistan, notably the Taliban.

Webmaster's Commentary:

India has been inviting this world of hurt upon themselves, for not giving a fair and free referendum on Kashmir to those who live here.

And Pakistan?!? With as much free-falling corruption as this broken country endures, continually re-infecting its government, it is just as complicit in creating an atmosphere where this could happen.

Cash-Strapped Cities Are Turning Citizens Into Ticket Vigilantes

Washington, D.C. plans to join a growing list of cash-strapped cities that turn citizens into ticket vigilantes.

According to a Fox5 News article, Bill B23-0288 would allow 80 citizens, ten in each of D.C.'s eight wards to print out parking tickets and citations.

These government shills will be tasked with spying on motorists and ticketing them if they park too long or violate parking rules.

Reason.com warns, "these new citizen parking enforcers would be accountable to no one."

If you think you had problems with your neighbor(s) before, just wait until they have the power to ticket anyone.

WOW! things are really getting ugly out there.

FBI Tells The Governor Of Florida About Election Hacking, But Says He Can't Tell Anyone Else

I thought this was America, but whatever. Secrecy in all things government, despite the (often misheld) presumption that our public servants will be open and honest about issues that affect us.

It's no secret voting systems and databases are not secure. These are problems that date back 15 years, but have shown little improvement since. Election interference is just another tool in the nation-state hacking kit, and the US is far from immune from these attacks.

Federal agencies investigating election interference are at least speaking to officials in states affected by these efforts. But those officials are apparently not allowed to pass on this information to those affected the most: voters.

Gov. Ron DeSantis met with the FBI and the U.S. Department of Homeland Security last Friday to discuss the revelation in Robert Mueller’s report that “at least one” Florida county had its election information accessed by Russian hackers in 2016.

Webmaster's Commentary:

Ad the proof that this actually happened?!?

Of course, absolutely no where to be found.

IT’S IN THE WEEDS: HERBICIDE LINKED TO HUMAN LIVER DISEASE

SOURCE: UC SAN DIEGO HEALTH
By Debra Kamin

Glyphosate, the primary ingredient in Monsanto’s popular weed killer Roundup, has been linked to liver disease in animal models. In a new study, the first of its kind, researchers at the University of California San Diego School of Medicine report an association between the herbicide and negative effects upon the human liver.

Webmaster's Commentary:

Mike and I needed to go into the local hardware store yesterday, and were gob-smacked in seeing Round-up so prominently displayed.

I don't think that the execs at this company have wrapped their collective heads around what these class action lawsuits against this company, and ultimately, theirs, for selling this stuff, may hurt their bottom line, big time.

Chelsea Manning Issues Dire Warning about Assange's Arrest

Facing the possibility of being imprisoned yet again in the coming days for refusing to testify before a secretive grand jury, U.S. Army whistleblower Chelsea Manning on Sunday warned of the grave threat the Trump administration poses to press freedoms.

“I think that ultimately what they really want is, they want to go after journalists,” Manning said during an interview on CNN when asked whether the Trump administration’s effort to extradite WikiLeaks founder and publisher Julian Assange to the U.S. is a danger to the free press.

“This administration clearly wants to go after journalists,” Manning said. “I think that if the administration gets its way… we’re probably gonna see indictments and charges.”

“Whenever a journalist makes a misstep,” she added, “I think that they’re put on notice now that the FBI and the Department of Justice are going to go after them, on the administration’s behalf.”

Bernie Sanders Delivers Online Address: 'We Must Not Go to War With Iran'

Source: Common Dreams

Democratic presidential candidate Sen. Bernie Sanders on Tuesday came out forcefully against the Trump administration angling the United States into another costly and unnecessary war of choice in the Middle East—this time against Iran—delivering an online address in which he warned that any military action without approval from Congress would be an "unconstitutional and illegal" breach of office.

"Let me be as clear as I can be: a war with Iran would be an absolute disaster," said Sanders in the roughly six-minute speech. "Sixteen years ago, the United States committed one of the worst foreign policy blunders in the history of our country by attacking Iraq. That war was sold to the American people based on a series of lies about weapons of mass destruction. We should remember that one of the leading advocates for that war was John Bolton."

Webmaster's Commentary:

Bernie, Mike and I are with you one thousand percent on this issue, although there are other issues where we may not agree.

US issues security alert ordering non-emergency staff to depart Iraq

The US State Department has issued a security alert and ordered staff to evacuate Iraq amid escalating tensions with neighbouring Iran. The alert posted on the US embassy in Iraq today read: “The U.S. State Department has ordered the departure of non-emergency U.S. Government employees from Iraq, both at the U.S. Embassy in Baghdad and the U.S. Consulate in Erbil. Normal visa services at both posts will be temporarily suspended. The U.S. government has limited ability to provide emergency services to US citizens in Iraq.”

A US embassy spokesperson is reported by the Financial Times saying that US Secretary of State, Mike Pompeo, had taken the decision to withdraw because of “the increased threat stream we are seeing in Iraq”. The spokesperson declined to say how, when, or how many staff were leaving, citing security reasons.

Webmaster's Commentary:

Let's take a look at a map, shall we?!?

Map: Iran/Iraq borders

(The Iran–Iraq boundary runs for 1,458 kilometers (over 900 miles, (plus or minus), from the Shatt al-Arab (known as Arvand Rud in Iran) waterway to the tripoint boundary with Turkey at the Kuh e-Dalanper. Although the boundary was first determined in 1639, certain disputes fester, particularly surrounding navigation on the Shatt al-Arab waterway."

IF the false flag is going to happen on land, rather than in the Persian Gulf, somewhere around this border area, would probably be the flash-point.

Even though Baghdad has explicitly stated that it will not allow Iraq to be used against Iran, how, militarily, can they actually prevent this?!?

We most probably have both American and Israel mercs, close to the border, waiting for word about causing the initial damage, to then be be blamed on Iran, and off we go.

Mr. President; I think I speak for my brother and sister Americans, when I say that this government's attempts to "lie us into war", as did your predecessor, President Bush, will demonstrate, that you have thoroughly outsourced US foreign policy in the Middle East to Tel Aviv; and to say "this is not a good thing", is tantamount to saying, "The Titanic hit a little bit of ice."

And yes, there are times when policy issues between the US and Israel do align; this, however, is not one of those times.

In the most peaceful, respectful way I can, I must caution you on starting a war with Iran; this will be another gigantic, quagmire, much as Afghanistan and Iraq, have been. And if Russia and China come in on Iran's side, as well they might, we are dealing with a war which could well go nuclear in a heartbeat.

Facebook Gags Italian Populists Two Weeks Before EU Elections

Facebook has banned 23 major Italian pro-populist pages with a combined 2.5 million followers two weeks before the European elections, according to Italy's La Stampa.

The majority of the bans were for supporters of the current coalition government; La Lega (The League), headed by Interior Minister Matteo Salvini, and the 5-star movement, M5S, led by Deputy Prime Minister Luigi Di Maio. Among them, the most popular Facebook page for La Lega was taken down, right as polls reveal massive support for the party.

Facebook claims that the sites were spreading fake news, "hate speech," and "divisive content" about immigrants, vaccines and Jews, after left-wing "human rights" and environmentalist non-government organization (NGO) Avaaz issued a report on "inauthentic behavior" over Italian Facebook networks.

WhatsApp: Malicious Spyware Has All The Markings Of “Government Sponsored Surveillance”

WhatsApp has asked users to update their systems after a malicious attack. The cyber attack is complete with all the hallmarks of a “government-sponsored surveillance” attempt.

The messaging and audio app owned by Facebook said Monday that malicious hackers were able to install spyware on Android smartphones and Apple iPhones and is asking users to make sure their security is up to date. But more alarming, is that this looks like the government wants to spy on its own people who use the WhatsApp app. “The attack has all the hallmarks of a private company reportedly that works with governments to deliver spyware that takes over the functions of mobile phone operating systems,” a WhatsApp spokesperson told MarketWatch.

The Media’s Shameful Handling of Bolton’s Iran Threat Claims Recalls the Run-up to the Iraq War

Media-savvy U.S. government officials, political operatives, and lawmakers and their staffs from all political parties and ideological persuasions have no doubt, throughout the history of our great country, duped a fair-minded but unwitting reporter into writing a juicy story in order to get a piece of information into the public bloodstream without their fingerprints on it.

This is, in large part, how the Bush administration sold the U.S. invasion of Iraq to the American people: Feeding knowingly bogus or unsubstantiated intelligence on Iraq’s (nonexistent) WMD programs to reporters, who then published it as fact, without much in the way of critical scrutiny.

Despite the lessons we’ve learned from that debacle, it’s happening again with regard to the Trump administration’s march toward war with Iran.

Webmaster's Commentary:

Mr. President, I would strongly caution you, regarding the expansion of any threat against Iran.

There are moments when I would particularly like to see John Bolton and Mike Pompeo move to Israel, and run for the Knesset; this moment ... is one of them.

I am quite certain that Israel's Prime Minister Netanyahu is whispering in the ears of both men, convincing them that such a war will be easy, and quick, and won't be another quagmire for the US.

And President Trump, in your appointments of these men, you have demonstrated, painfully clearly, that you have outsourced US policy in the Middle East to Israel, and I would like to suggest, politely, that might not have been the most "America First!" people you should have chosen, as representatives of US foreign policy.

Not all of the fights into which Netanyahu would like the US military carry out for it, are frequently not fights which will do the country any measurable good.

An attack against Iran (where Russia and China, may well come to its aid), is not a smart move, sir. Iran has done absolutely nothing to harm us, except for taking payment for their oil in other than US dollars.

Please think about this, Mr. President: at this time, our military doesn't have the money; the weaponry; the troop strength or the manufacturing to enable it to successfully engage in a world war, where you have Russia and China working against us in combat, as well as Iran.

First assessment blames Iran for Middle East ship explosions, official says

An American military team assessing blasts that damaged four commercial ships off the coast of the United Arab Emirates (UAE) Sunday has blamed Iran or Iranian-backed proxies using explosive charges, a source told Fox News on Monday evening.

Each ship had a 5-to-10-foot hole in it, near or just below the water line, a U.S. official told The Associated Press. A Norwegian-flagged vessel, two Saudi oil tankers and a bunkering tanker flagged in Shariah, one of the UAE's seven emirates, all suffered similar damage Sunday.

The UAE asked the U.S. to help investigate the damage, which Gulf officials have characterized as sabotage. UAE's state media said Sunday there had been "no injuries or fatalities on board the vessels" and "no spillage of harmful chemicals or fuel."

The U.S. has warned ships that "Iran or its proxies" could be targeting maritime traffic in the region, and America has moved additional ships and aircraft into the region.

Webmaster's Commentary:

So, there is zero surveillance footage in any of these cases, but the US military has already accused Iran of this?!?

Anyone out there remember the firm accusation of President Bush, when he claimed that Iraq had "weapons of mass destruction"?!?

This accusation is on par with that; if the Iranians had really bombed these ships, with the intention of never having them seaworthy again, they would have left NONE of these ships as mildly damaged as they actually are, and would have zotted the heck out of them.

Houthi Drones Attack Aramco Pipeline Booster Stations

Yemen's Iran-backed Houthi rebels carried out drone attacks on two Aramco pipeline booster stations, a strike that was intended to disrupt world oil supplies, according to Saudi Energy Minister Khalid al-Falih.

Al-Falih told Saudi-funded news agency Al-Arabiya that the attacks targeted two pipeline booster stations between the Eastern province and the city of Yanbu.

Webmaster's Commentary:

Notice that the second set of words in this article are "Iran-backed Houthi rebels"

So, by creating the syntax in this manner the first thoughts should be, "Houthi Rebels are bad, Saudi Arabia is good", in their reckless bombings of what is left of Yemeni schools, hospitals, infrastructure. children, infants, and the medically fragile elderly.

But of course, that is the reality about to where this article dare not go; it's like this reality is Kryptonite, because any disruption of oil supplies will make everything more costly. ]

But a decisions has obviously been made, that all Yemeni people killed and maimed by this genocide, are expendable, anyway; that at least is where Crown Prince bin Salman and President Trump are.

In the immortal words of Tony Soprano "Fuggetaboutit!!", when it comes to a lasting ceasefire, and a negotiated settlement.

That the Butcher of Yemen, Crown Prince Mohamed bin Salman, is getting consistent help from his American allies, under the watch of President Trump, means that Americans - all of us - are complicit in this

slaughter, until the US finally does the right thing and leaves.

This never was our fight to begin with.

And, unsurprisingly, oil jolted up after the news of the drone bombing.

Senior Admin Official: "A Trade Deal Isn't Close; US Could Be In For A Long Trade War"

Despite a flurry of meandering hot-then-cold trade war tweets from President Trump, US futures have been powering higher all morning. But then along came Axios to pour cold water all over the growing trade-deal optimism after the stock market's worst one-day selloff since January.

According to Axios, senior administration officials told senior White House reporter Jonathan Swan that a trade deal with China "isn't close" and that the US "could be in for a long trade war."

Swans' sources said the differences between the two sides "are so profound taut, based on his read of the situation, he can't see the fight getting resolved before the end of the year."

That's a much longer timeline than the three-four weeks Trump touted Monday night, who touted the possibility that the a meeting with President Xi at the G-20 in Japan next month could yield an agreement.

Webmaster's Commentary:

Perhaps a slight bit of flexibility on both sides, might work to get these talks moving again; but until that happens, get really ready for a really tough economic time ahead.

Farm Crisis: Soybeans Crash To Decade-Low As Trade War Intensifies

Soybean futures fell 25% in 50 weeks since the inception of President Trump's trade war early last summer.

CBOT Soybeans futures plunged to their lowest level in a decade as China on Monday said it would raise tariffs on $60 billion in US goods in retaliation for Trump's decision on Friday to raise duties on $200 billion in Chinese products to 25% from 10%. The deepening trade war has pushed American farmers onto the verge of disaster.

Webmaster's Commentary:

These people, along with unemployed factory workers, were the essence of his base; he knew, in just what tone, and demeanor, to address their anger and ire about jobs leaving the US, and about farmers who couldn't get a fair deal on their crops.

Now that they believe they have been betrayed by the man they had hoped would save them, what is going to happen now in 2020?!

Unless he is able to get the tariffs stopped and soon, and staunch the economic blood-loss, leading to our farmers' collective financial ruin, he is going to lose this critical part of his base in the next election.

These are people who do not forget betrayal easily.

Burnout Nation

Authored by Charles Hugh Smith via OfTwoMinds blog,

The economic and financial stresses will exceed the workforce's carrying capacity in the next recession.

A number of recent surveys reflect a widespread sense of financial stress and symptoms of poor health in America's workers, particularly the younger generations. There's no real mystery as to the cause of this economic anxiety:

-- competition for secure, well-paid jobs that were once considered the birthright of the middle class is increasingly fierce;

-- the pay and predictability of the jobs that are available are low;

-- high-paying jobs are extraordinarily demanding, forcing workers to sacrifice everything else to keep the big-bucks position;

-- the much-lauded gig economy is tracking the Pareto Distribution, as 80% of the income accrues to the top 20%, and those trying to earn a lower-middle class income in the gig economy are working long hours to do so;

Webmaster's Commentary:

I know that Mike and I are working harder than we ever have before, in terms of hours necessary just to keep WRH alive; it has become a plus-time, full-time vocation for both of us, and the emotional and financial strains of this are definitely affecting us negatively.
