Dresden Holocaust --- The Real Holocaust

The Germans did not begin the bombing war!

It should be reminded that Great Britain and France declared war on the German Reich on 3 September 1939, and that England began the terror bombing against the German civilian population as early as two days after its declaration of war. On 5 September 1939 the first raids took place against Wilhelmshaven and Cuxhaven; on 12 January 1940, Westerland/Sylt was bombed.

Décryptage, Analyses, Veille - Downside The World News UK Killed Over 10 Million Indians In Holocaust

A controversial new history of the Indian Mutiny, which broke out 150 years ago and is acknowledged to have been the greatest challenge to any European power in the 19th century, claims that the British pursued a murderous decade-long campaign to wipe out millions of people who dared rise up against them.In War of Civilisations: India AD 1857, Amaresh Misra, a writer and historian based in Mumbai, argues that there was an “untold holocaust” which caused the deaths of almost 10 million people over 10 years beginning in 1857. Britain was then the world’s superpower but, says Misra, came perilously close to losing its most prized possession: India.

Barack Obama and Tim Geithner rob Main Street of $3 trillion

Trillion-dollar giveaways are like buses: there will be another one along in a moment. Driving the next vehicle is Treasury Secretary Tim Geithner, who thinks it would be a nice gesture to hand another $2 trillion to Gordon Gekko and his pals on Wall Street. Apparently the last handout made no appreciable difference, so better throw some more moolah into the piranha pool - some of those poor SOBs are down to their last executive jet.

Where will the money come from? No problem - we just divert it from Main Street to Wall Street, an increasingly familiar route to those in the White House and on Capitol Hill who specialise in redistributing wealth from the poor to the rich.

The world has a strange way of working against every attempt to gain control of it. No matter how many times anyone has tried, they’ve never gotten there.

Pa. judges accused of jailing kids for cash

For years, the juvenile court system in Wilkes-Barre operated like a conveyor belt: Youngsters were brought before judges without a lawyer, given hearings that lasted only a minute or two, and then sent off to juvenile prison for months for minor offenses.

The explanation, prosecutors say, was corruption on the bench.

In one of the most shocking cases of courtroom graft on record, two Pennsylvania judges have been charged with taking millions of dollars in kickbacks to send teenagers to two privately run youth detention centers.

Video: US Army Col Ann Wright (ret) describes Gaza damage

Retired US army colonel Ann Wright talks about her recent trip to Gaza. Throughout Israel's intensive war in Gaza, reporters and international observers have been barred from entering the region. Wright says that the damage is extensive and Israel's disproportionate response "criminal." During her visit to Egypt and Gaza, Philip Rizk, a 26 year old student of Middle Eastern Studies at the American University in Cairo was detained after participating in a rally in support of Gazans. Rizk has been an outspoken critic of the Israeli invasion and of the Egyptian government's feeble response to the suffering of Palestinian civilians. His whereabouts remain unknown and no formal charges have been issued. A demonstration in support of his release will take place on Wednesday, February 11 at 11:30 in front of the Egyptian Consulate in New York.

The Obama Administration has picked up where the Bush Administration left off manipulating financial markets.

Chavez says foes trying to spur 'religious war'
Tue Feb 10, 7:23 pm ET

CARACAS, Venezuela – President Hugo Chavez accused Venezuela's opposition and privately-owned media on Tuesday of attempting to incite "a religious war" by unjustly accusing his government of fomenting anti-Semitism following an attack on a synagogue.
Chavez railed against opposition leaders for suggesting that his harsh criticism of the Israeli government and its military offensive in the Gaza Strip have inspired anti-Semitism, and he challenged them to publicly retract their statements.
"Justice Minister Tareck El Aissami said Monday a synagogue security guard and a police officer who worked as a bodyguard for a local rabbi are among the 11 people detained over the weekend."

The clergyman prefered not to lodge a complaint with the police and told an acquaintance that he was used to being spat at by Jews. Many Jerusalem clergy have been subjected to abuse of this kind. For the most part, they ignore it but sometimes they cannot.

Quinn Has Her Own Income Tax Plan (The desperate insanity grows fierce)

The New York Times | David W. Chen | Wed- Feb 11, 2009

City Council Speaker Christine C. Quinn plans on Thursday to propose that Albany raise the income tax on people making over $300,000 a year as a way to generate $1 billion. And if that happens, she wants $72 million of the new revenues to pay for her proposal to eliminate personal income taxes for low-income families in New York City who owe no state or federal income taxes.

The proposals are wholly dependent, of course, on what Albany does. But they also suggest that there could be tough negotiations with Mayor Michael R. Bloomberg over how to plug a $4 billion budget deficit.

U.S. And Russian Satellites Collide

A commercial Iridium communications satellite collided with a Russian satellite or satellite fragment, Tuesday, creating a cloud of wreckage in low-Earth orbit, officials said Wednesday. The international space station is not threatened by the debris, they said, but it's not yet clear whether it poses a risk to any other satellites in similar orbits.

Webmaster's Commentary:

Okay folks, here is the difference between orbit and Earth.

When two objects collide on Earth the pieces fall down to the ground and that is pretty much the end of the affair.

But debris from this accident, some 280 pieces large enough to track and countless others too small to detect with Earth-based radars, for the most part will go into different and unpredictable orbits.

Yes, some will enter the atmosphere and provide a pretty show for people on the ground, but despite the calming in this article the real danger is a "cascade" in that some of these 280+ pieces will hit other satellites, breaking them into 200-400 pieces, then those pieces will hit more satellites, creating more debris, which hit more satellites, etc.

The end result is a near-Earth "no spacecraft" zone, filled with a cloud of dead debris ready to shotgun any spacecraft coming in or going out.

Now, having thought about this back when the Pentagon idiots were talking space-based weapons, there is a cheap and easy way to de-orbit this debris, and if someone wants to invest in a company to do just that, drop me a line.

'Apocalyptic climate predictions' mislead the public, say experts

Experts at Britain's top climate research centre have launched a blistering attack on scientific colleagues and journalists who exaggerate the effects of global warming.

The Met Office Hadley Centre, one of the most prestigious research facilities in the world, says recent "apocalyptic predictions" about Arctic ice melt and soaring temperatures are as bad as claims that global warming does not exist. Such statements, however well-intentioned, distort the science and could undermine efforts to tackle carbon emissions, it says.

In an article published on the Guardian website, Dr Vicky Pope, head of climate change advice at the Met Office, calls on scientists and journalists to stop misleading the public with "claim and counter-claim".

Recently we ran a poll here at WRH asking if the story of the holocaust needed to be objectively re-examined, in light of more recent deceptions such as Saddam's 'nooks'. The overwhelming response was that a fresh and objective re-examination is long overdue.

I wrote a lengthy reply to that comment, which has now been picked up by other blogs as an article.

Western Digital Passport USB Portable Hard Drive (160GB, black)

It seemed ok in the beginning - installed itself quickly and easily, and started humming along as I moved my 120 GB of music from my brand new XP desktop to the drive. But when I checked on it an hour later, there was an error, saying the drive was not recognized. I tried different USB ports, which would work for a few seconds, and then again, the drive wouldn't be recognized.

I tested my USB ports with other devices - all were fine. When I called WDC Customer Support, they told me the drive does not work with front USB ports (not close enough to the motherboard), but the cord is too short to use it effectively on the back ports. I tried it anyway - doesn't work. There are no drivers to download, no fixes, it's just a bad drive. Apparently this is a common issue.

Webmaster's Commentary:

Yes it is, because my Western Digital Passport drive did the exact same thing. It will work with one laptop, but not my main desktop machine (the one I am typing this post on). It will work with the VISTA machine but only though a rear USB port, not the front one.

Now, this review of this product dates to 2 years ago. And yet, this item is still being offered for sale! Shades of the Parnell guy ordering his peanut company to ship out peanuts laced with Salmonella!

And yes, I am still in a very negative mood about American products after those made-in-the-USA Duracall batteries leaked and ruined my Mead Captureview binocular/camera a few days ago, not to mention anything sold by Microsoft. So yeah, I am pissed off and not at all tolerant of crappy American products.

But here is my point. After I pulled this drive out to use it to make an offsite copy of WRH's source tree, and found I could not get it to work any more (like the author of the linked piece, the drive worked the very first time I tried it, then decided to piss me off), I did a web search and I found TONS of complaints about this drive and model, and astonishingly, an overwhelming amount of "consumer reports" on supposedly unbiased computer information websites which lauded this drive to the high heavens!

So, one of two cases applies. Either these supposedly unbiased computer information websites which lauded this drive to the high heavens were testing something other than what is really being sold to us consumers, or, these supposedly unbiased computer information websites which lauded this drive to the high heavens are biased, which means their websites are just covert advertising for whoever hands them the most cash.

Bottom line. If the US cannot make products like batteries that don't leak and disk drives that operate longer than a few weeks, then our nation is in far worse trouble than we thought.

$550 Billion Dollar Bank Run - Collapse Of The Entire World Economy In 24 hours

Webmaster's Commentary:

At 2:20 the big ugly secret comes out. Within an hour, some $550 billion was electronically withdrawn from the money market accounts. The claim is that had the government not blocked further withdrawals and stared offering guarantees, the US and World economies would have been collapsed.

Obviously there are theories all around as to what happened, and one is very simple.

Wall Street knew they were in trouble. The American people were no longer asking for new loans that could create new money that would be used to pay the interest on old loans. Collapse was imminent, and worse, the American people rightly blamed the financial shysters for their poverty. People were starting to sue the mortgage lenders and the mortgage-back securities fraudsters.

So the investment banks and brokerages and loan companies pulled off a scam. Working through overseas "cut-outs" they yanked $500 billion dollars to put a scare into the US Government, then turned around and warned that if the bailout was not passed, they would collapse the US economy itself and shift the blame onto the government.

This theory explains the absolute total panic we saw in Congress as they ramrodded through the first bailout despite overwhelming taxpayer opposition.

And the problem is that is this theory is correct, and the Wall Street "Bernies" are blackmailing the US Government with their own financial doomsday weapon, then the bailouts will continue, as blackmailers never stop on their own.

This may be why, even as Congress passes this most recent bailout, word is already coming from the White House that yet another trillion and a half bailout is already being planned.

ISRAELIS were 9-11 short sale stock buyers, betting on WTC terror strikes, story killed...

Between August 26 and September 11, 2001, a group of speculators, identified by the American Securities and Exchange Commission as Israeli citizens, sold "short" a list of 38 stocks that could reasonably be expected to fall in value as a result of the pending attacks. These speculators operated out of the Toronto, Canada and Frankfurt, Germany, stock exchanges and their profits were specifically stated to be "in the millions of dollars."

Webmaster's Commentary:

Here’s an Idea . . . solve the toxic asset problem by give those assets to bank executives as bonuses!

Why not say that all bank compensation above a baseline amount - say, $150,000 in annual salary - has to be paid in toxic assets off the bank’s balance sheet? Instead of getting a check for $10,000, the employee would get $10,000 in toxic assets, at their current book value. A federal regulator can decide which assets to pay compensation in; if they were all fairly valued, then it wouldn’t matter which ones the regulator chose. That would get the assets off the bank’s balance sheet, and into the hands of the people responsible for putting them there - at the value that they insist they are worth.

The Day After: Stocks Struggle to Overcome Geithner's Stumble, RIM's Warning

Webmaster's Commentary:

Stock's aren't supposed to "overcome."

Stocks are supposed to be shares in a company, paying dividends based on that company's earnings. The price of the stock is ideally supposed to be directly proportional to the earnings of the company, usually 13 to 16 years worth of the dividends payouts.

But when speculation takes over the market, as it has done over the last 12 years, the dividends cease being a factor, and the stock prices are driven by supply and demand, and more often the hopes and fears of the speculators who purchase stocks solely to sell them a short time down the road at a profit.

9 Humiliating Ways Cell phones Injure People

Despite their usefulness, cellular phones get a lot of negative press. Excessive and improper cell phone use accounts for hundreds of thousands of injuries and deaths around the world every year. A recent study showed that a coordinated 20 year-old has the same reaction time as that of a 70 year old when talking on a cell phone. This waned concentration can lead to many dangerous situations. And while most of us have made it this far without the need of protective shoulder pads or helmets, the risk of cell phone injury still exists. The following is a list of cell phone injuries, ordered in their likeliness to occur, from most to least.

Organized Jewry Opposes Free Speech

The reader is led to believe that the allegations of Israeli atrocities are overblown propaganda - when the real question is just how Palestinians manage to survive at all in the occupied territories. The recent horrifying incursion into Gaza is only the most recent example. Not only did Israel carry out a starvation-inducing blockade during a ceasefire and an assault that finally provoked Palestinian retaliation, there seems little doubt that Israel committed war crimes - particularly the use of white phosphorus bombs in densely populated civilian areas.

Vatican buries the hatchet with Charles Darwin

A leading official declared yesterday that Darwin’s theory of evolution was compatible with Christian faith, and could even be traced to St Augustine and St Thomas Aquinas.

Webmaster's Commentary:

Okay, so the Pope is playing kissy kissy with Darwin, and Galileo, but is going to bitch-slap Bishop Williamson for being a more recent heretic?

And by the way Pope, your boys were VERY rude to my ancestors back in 1493. Don't I get a "Mea Culpa" and a papal smooch?

Letters: Anglo-American model for financial disaster

The present decade of "financial exuberance" dates from 1999 when a Republican Congress pushed through, and a Democrat President, Bill Clinton, signed, a definitive repeal of the Glass-Stegall Act of 1933, which had separated commercial banking from investment banking.

Ed Balls is more honest than he thinks. We are in the mess that we're in because our government decided to hitch the British workhorse on to the American bandwagon. If President Sarkozy of France last week was rather rude to us, he was merely repaying Gordon Brown for his lecturing European leaders, in sunnier economic times, for not embracing the Anglo-American model of deregulated finances.

China Needs U.S. Guarantees for Treasury Bond Holdings

China should seek guarantees that its
$682 billion holdings of U.S. government debt won’t be eroded by
“reckless policies,” said Yu Yongding, a former adviser to the
central bank.

Webmaster's Commentary:

Printing up trillions of dollars from the Federal Reserve lowers the value of all dollars everywhere, including those held by China.

So what China is asking is how the US Government plans to print up trillions of dollars without having the value of the dollars owed to China decline.

And the only answer is to treat all that new money as a loan, to be eventually repaid by the US taxpayers.

To date, all of the bailouts and emergency loans (which are not being repaid so far) have created $30,000 of tax-debt for every living human in the United States. It is actually worse than that since many Americans, the very young and very old, the disabled, the illegals, do not pay taxes. So the real burden of all this new debt works out to about $50,000 per taxpayer, or $100,000 per married working couple, all created in the last 6 months.

Long before this crisis had hit, the US Government was already so deep in debt that all the income tax paid by every American did not even keep up with the interest. Nothing was being paid on the principle and as a result, since the Vietnam war Americans have been taxed for the interest four times the entire amount of the debt itself ... without seeing the debt reduced.

We are slaves to this debt that was created for us without our permission by politicians whose campaigns are funded by the same bankers our tax checks go to. We have been sold into perpetual bondage by the politicians.

And if by some miracle we work hard and sacrifice to pay off this debt and can persuade the government not to simply add more debt on top (as they are doing even as I type these words) and save the government from financial collapse, what will we have won for all our work and sacrifice? We will still live under a government that lies to us, takes our money, reads our emails, listens to our phone calls, and treats us as if we are slaves that cannot be trusted because we will escape to freedom at the first opportunity.

The Multiple Ways Monsanto is Putting Normal Seeds Out of Reach

People say if farmers don’t want problems from Monsanto, just don’t buy their GMO seeds.

Not so simple. Where are farmers supposed to get normal seed these days? How are they supposed to avoid contamination of their fields from GM-crops? How are they supposed to stop Monsanto detectives from trespassing or Monsanto from using helicopters to fly over spying on them?

Monsanto contaminates the fields, trespasses onto the land taking samples and if they find any GMO plants growing there (or say they have), they then sue, saying they own the crop. It’s a way to make money since farmers can’t fight back and court and they settle because they have no choice.

Poll: 31% of Europeans blame Jews for global financial crisis

The ADL, a Jewish-American organization polled 3,500 adults - 500 each in Austria, France, Hungary, Poland, Germany, Spain and the United Kingdom - between December 1, 2008 and January 13, 2009.

According to the survey, 40 percent of polled Europeans believe that Jews have an over-abundance of power in the business world. More than half of the respondents in Hungary, Spain and Poland agreed with this statement.

Webmaster's Commentary:

TARP II is TARP I with a coat of varnish

The new TARP II will roll in more than $1.5 trillion from the Treasury, private investors (hopefully) and the Federal Reserve. The trouble is that that the Fed will be just printing its money, and in so doing devaluing the dollar, sounding its swan song conceivably as the reserve currency.

Wearing the Beard for Petraeus

Jeff Huber | February 10, 2009

The most telling part of Ricks’s version of the surge genesis is what it omits. Ricks makes no mention of the American Enterprise Institute, or of Fred Kagan, or of the neoconservative movement’s role in selling the surge to the public, an effort spearheaded by Bill Kristol of The Weekly Standard, Fox News, the New York Times, AEI and the Project for the New American Century.

On Sunday’s Meet the Press and in his Monday Post article, Ricks describes with often horrifying candor how Petraeus set out to pave the way for a “long war” that would last well beyond the Bush presidency. Petraeus needed time “not to bring the war to a close, but simply to show enough genuine progress that the American people would be willing to stick with it even longer.” That the surge has, as Ricks acknowledges, “failed politically,” is of little consequence.

Bailout Plan: $2.5 Trillion and a Strong U.S. Hand

Ed Andrews-Steve Labaton The New York Times Tue-Feb 10, 2009

WASHINGTON — The White House plan to rescue the nation’s financial system, announced on Tuesday by Timothy F. Geithner, the Treasury secretary, is far bigger than anyone predicted and envisions a far greater government role in markets and banks than at any time since the 1930s.

Administration officials committed to flood the financial system with as much as $2.5 trillion — $350 billion of that coming from the bailout fund and the rest from private investors and the Federal Reserve, making use of its ability to print money.

Will Obama Break the Law for Israel's Sake?

by Grant F. Smith

Since entering office, President Barack Obama has promised sweeping changes in three aspects of governance: transparency, law enforcement, and stewardship of American tax dollars. For a public weary of law enforcement forever prosecuting street but never elite crime, Obama's many statements about holding all individuals accountable under the law have been encouraging. He also called for government-agency compliance with the Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) in a White House mandate for transparency. Obama swore any bailouts of financial institutions and industries will hereafter avoid secretly funneling taxpayer funds into bloated Wall Street bonuses, executive junkets, and private jets.

But does Obama intend to follow these rules himself? Probably not. Obama's entire facade momentarily crumbled under a single withering question – "Do you know of any country in the Middle East that has nuclear weapons?" – launched by veteran reporter Helen Thomas during the president's first evening press conference on Feb. 9, 2008.

Video - War on Drugs and the Prison Industrial Complex

This 1999 documentary from Dutch TV explains how the "War on Drugs" has led to a loss of civil liberties while at the same time it has become a cash generator for police departments (through asset seizure) and a source of prisoners needed by the growing, privatized "Prison Industrial Complex". However, it has not had much of an effect at all as far as its supposed purpose of eliminating or, at least significantly reducing, the illegal drug trade.

The documentary is in English although there are a few introductory comments in Dutch. (1hr 32min)

A Fox News on-screen graphic even reproduced a typo contained in the Republican press release.

Letters To Leaders at Congres.org makes it clear what the concensus is on Bank Bailouts. NO!

Letters To Leaders on Congress.org allows anyone to take a fair sampling of the mood of the nation simply by reading letters sent to government leaders that have been made public by the writer's request.

The link provided gives anyone access to the headers to those letters and the actual content, by issue (search "budget"), and by state, and by individual elected officials in Washington D.C.

In other words, you can read the mail that went to your Congressional leaders or even to Barack Obama on the stimulus package.

How these assholes one by one can ignore the will of the people is simply beyond comprehension.

The Implications of Recognizing Israel's "Right to Exist"

But, if acknowledging Israel’s ‘right to exist’ means accepting that anyone who is Jewish can automatically become a citizen of Israel and then live on the very land, and in some cases, in the very home, of a Palestinian family who has lived there for generations; if it means relinquishing the right to say “this was my land and my home before you took it away from me”; if it means forsaking the right to return to Palestine with deed and keys in hand, demanding to know what entitled the families from England, Russia, Morocco or Ethiopia to live on the property of those 700,000 who were forcibly expelled in 1948; if it means denying the very existence of Palestine and Palestinians—as Golda Meir tried to do—by erasing their history, culture, and collective memory … then no.

Webmaster's Commentary:

Israel has a right to exist, but it does not supercede the Palestinian's right to exist.
