Houston Independent School District, the largest public school system in Texas, has a 40% failure rate, with 111 of its schools with D or F ratings, its new superintendent said.

HISD serves over 190,000 students at 274 campuses. The majority of students are overwhelmingly Black, followed by Hispanic, according to district data.

At a news conference, HISD Superintendent Mike Miles said his team performed an analysis of raw school data for the 2022-2023 school year. Miles announced an unofficial Assessment Accountability and Compliance rating based on new methodology proposed by the Texas Education Agency (TEA).

“This is not a big surprise, but the numbers are much higher than they were in the past,” Miles said. “Based on the raw data, we calculate that HISD has 52 F-rated campuses and 59 D-rated campuses.” The district also has 64 C-rated campuses, 58 B-rated, and 35 A-rated, according to his staff’s analysis.

Democrats are reportedly bringing in Hillary Clinton as a reinforcement to help President Biden with his 2024 re-election campaign.

NBC News reported the former secretary of state held a fundraiser for Biden last month at her Georgetown home that raised close to $1 million. Her popularity with women and key parts of the Democratic base are considered assets for Biden as he attempts to expand his outreach to voters.

Clinton’s role in Biden’s re-election effort is expected to grow as the 2024 presidential election nears, according to NBC.

Webmaster addition: I hope Hillary is as successful with Biden as she was with Sheila Jackson Lee!

It’s cold, but climate czar John Kerry doesn’t give a fart.  Or maybe he does, since he seems to have interrupted his talk on carbon releases with an audible emission of his own.  The audience pretended not to hear, but climate alarmists are used to pretense.  They pretend the world will end in 2031 from warming and that temperatures are rising so fast that human beings will be fried.

There’s no evidence that either of those two things is happening.  But there’s lots of evidence that temperatures are getting colder.  As John Casey explains in his book Dark Winter: How the Sun Is Causing a 30-Year Cold Spell, there’s evidence that temps will get a lot colder.  The sun “is going into a deep hibernation for the next thirty years,” says Casey, but that evidence is not reported in the mainstream media, which is still manufacturing stories to support the global warming thesis: the idea not just that temperatures are getting somewhat warmer from their extreme lows of the Little Ice Age that ended around 1850, but that that warming is a catastrophe instead of a blessing.

Gov. J.B. Pritzker has already signed a law to allow certain non-citizens to become police officers in Illinois. Now, the state's two U.S. senators want the same for the U.S. military. Many Republicans oppose the idea.

House Bill 3751, allowing certain non-citizens with work permits or who are Deferred Action for Childhood Arrival recipients to be police officers, passed the Illinois General Assembly with bipartisan support during the spring session. The measure had the backing of the Fraternal Order of Police.

Now, U.S. Sen. Dick Durbin, D-Illinois, wants the same for the U.S. military through a measure brought forward by Illinois U.S. Sen. Tammy Duckworth, D-Schaumburg. U.S. Senate Resolution 2401, known as the Enlist Act, was introduced on July 19. It remains in the U.S. Senate Committee of the Judiciary.

In a shocking turn of events, it has been revealed that the woman accused of attempting to burn down the birth home of Martin Luther King Jr. is none other than a decorated U.S. Navy veteran.

Laneisha Shantrice Henderson, a 26-year-old veteran surface warfare specialist, has been charged with attempted arson and interfering with government property.

According to officials, Henderson received multiple awards during her service in the Navy, including a national defense service medal, a good conduct medal, and the prestigious Navy "E" ribbon. The motive behind her actions remains unclear, leaving many to wonder what could have driven someone who served their country to behave in such a destructive manner.

A resident from The Villages was found guilty of charges related to voter fraud in the 2020 election on Monday.

Robert Rivernider Jr., 58, is accused of signing his father’s name to a vote-by-mail ballot. According to Sumter County Elections Supervisor Bill Keen, Rivernider’s father died on Oct. 19, 2020. He had a ballot dated and signed on Oct. 16, 2020, and postmarked on Oct. 23, 2020.

However, Keen said the signature on the ballot was different than previous versions of the father’s signature in the agency’s records, and was also very similar to Rivernider’s own signature in 2020.

Rivernider was found guilty of forgery to alter public records, fraud in connection with casting a vote, and pass counterfeit instrument, which are felony charges. He could face several years in prison.

Rivernider is a Republican Party activist, with a website that touts his experience with several party campaigns, including the Trump and Bush/Cheney presidential campaigns and the Laura Loomer congressional campaign in 2022.

Several residents from The Villages have faced charges in the last few years for voter fraud related to the 2020 election. News 6 has reported that at least four Villages residents were charged with voting twice in the election. All of them entered into a pre-trial intervention program to avoid potential prison time.

Former Speaker of the House Newt Gingrich criticized President Joe Biden’s immigration policy, labeling it as “illegal” and claiming it undermines the United States.

According to Gingrich, the policy encourages illegal immigration, diverting resources from Americans and legal immigrants to those who have entered the country unlawfully.

“Similar shifts of resources from Americans to Biden’s illegal immigrants are occurring across the country,” he said.

He accused left-wing media of avoiding the issue and suggests that the policy is deliberately designed to increase government spending and create dependent voters.

Webmaster addition: The one that really pisses me off is using the VA to give free medical care to illegal immigrants while our veterans are being neglected.

Trouble has followed Sara Catherine Jones since she married into the Biden family almost three decades ago.

Not long after her 1995 wedding to Jim Biden, she took a job with one of his brother Joe’s Senate donors, who later accused her of “fraud” and “unjust enrichment,” according to court records reviewed by RealClearInvestigations. Now, Sara Jones Biden has emerged as a key figure in the mushrooming Biden foreign influence-peddling scandal.

Parents are not happy after a teenage boy displaced teenage girls in the female under-14 category at a dancing competition in Dallas, Texas. The win means that the boy, who identifies as transgender, secured the spot in the Irish Dancing World Championships, a spot one of the girls would have secured had they not been pitted in the same category with a boy.
