“Democracy extends the sphere of individual freedom, socialism restricts it. Democracy attaches all possible value to each man; socialism makes each man a mere agent, a mere number. Democracy and socialism have nothing in common but one word: equality. But notice the difference: while democracy seeks equality in liberty, socialism seeks equality in restraint and servitude.” -- Alexis de Tocqueville

Not since the founding of Israel in 1948 had Tel Aviv suffered as audacious an assault on its soil as the one carried out by the Palestinian Islamist militant group Hamas on October 7, which was more shocking than the Yom Kippur War of 1973.

The fact that Hamas had planned such a massive assault by land, sea and air and managed to avoid detection points to a massive intelligence failure by Israel.

Hamas appeared to have better knowledge about goings-on inside the country than the famed Israeli intelligence agency Mossad did about what was happening in Gaza. Israel’s Prime Minister, “Mr. Security” Benjamin Netanyahu, has certainly suffered a blow from which he may not be able to recover in the long run.

When Netanyahu came to power for the third time last December with the support of the country's right-wing parties, both serving and retired Israeli Army generals expressed apprehension that such a coalition could lead to civil war in the country. That has not happened so far, but the division and months of protests against Netanyahu’s policies certainly emboldened Hamas to carry out its lightning strikes.

Israeli soldiers have opened fire at Palestinian civilians who tried returning to their homes in northern Gaza shortly after the start of the four-day truce between Israel and Hamas, an AP journalist has reported from the scene. The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) had earlier warned the displaced residents of Gaza against attempting to move to the north of the enclave.

At least two people have been killed and 11 other had their legs injured during the incident, the US news agency claimed on Friday.

An Israeli military spokesman told Haaretz that reports of the use of live fire by the IDF troops against the Palestinians were being investigated.

According to the paper, the number of civilians wounded by “Israeli fire” during their attempts to reach the north of Gaza stood at 15. They’ve been transferred to a hospital in Deir al-Balah in central Gaza for treatment, Haaretz added.

The Biden administration has vehemently denied that any voter fraud took place in the 2020 election.

However, the Biden Justice department’s recent successful prosecution of an alleged case of voter fraud flies in the face of that sweeping assertion.

According to KCAU, Biden’s DOJ had charged Kim Phuong Taylor, wife of former House Representative and current Woodbury County Supervisor Jeremy Taylor, with 52 counts of voter fraud in January.

The DOJ accused Kim Taylor of “generating votes” in the 2020 election, when her husband ran in the Republican primary for Iowa’s 4th Congressional District, and again later that year, when he ran – and won – for county supervisor.

After House Speaker Mike Johnson released the first batch of surveillance footage from the Jan. 6 Capitol riot, investigative reporter Julie Kelly and others are calling for renewed accountability.

"The dam is breaking on the official narrative," Kelly, who was given access to the 40,000 hours of footage by former Speaker Kevin McCarthy, wrote in a Substack column.

"Millions of Americans will now see video of police officers standing by as protesters walked in the building, some exchanging handshakes and fist bumps," Kelly wrote. "Future video releases could shock the public as it reveals numerous instances of police brutality that resulted in the deaths of three individuals that day."

A “dark money” climate activist group has been exposed as having spent millions of dollars last year on disruptive activist rallies that blocked busy highways and vandalized iconic artwork in cities across the world.

As shown by tax documents obtained by Fox News Digital, the Climate Emergency Fund (CEF), which has been sponsored in large part by Hollywood actors and producers since its inception in 2019, appears to be behind a worldwide criminal enterprise to engage in cultural vandalism and the disruption of public thoroughfares.

“Climate Emergency Fund is proud to support some of the boldest, bravest climate activists in the world who are not just fighting but are winning,” Margaret Klein Salamon, CEF’s executive director, told Fox News Digital in a statement. “Throughout history, organized, passionate, and dedicated people have awakened the public’s conscience to injustice and achieved change that was once considered impossible.”

An award-winning geologist and climate researcher at the University of Cologne in Germany says that climate fanatics who warn about the expansion of deserts due to global warming are lying.

Dr. Stefan Kröpelin, who specializes in the study of the eastern Sahara Desert and its climatic history, has been active in the field over there for more than 40 years. He said in a recent interview that deserts like the Sahara are actually shrinking, meaning they are becoming greener with plants and vegetation.

Going back as far as the late 1980s, rains have been spreading across northern Sudan and elsewhere in northern Africa. This has had the effect of greening the region and making the harsh Sahara Desert smaller than it once was.

"The desert is shrinking," Dr. Kröpelin said in the interview. "It is not growing."

Stephen F. Knott, author of the book “Coming to Terms with John F. Kennedy, has revealed to FOX News what the network describes as an eerie incident that occurred one year before JFK’s assassination. Knott discovered this new evidence in the archives of the John F. Kennedy Library in Boston where he once worked.

Knott told Fox News he found out that on October 19, 1962, an eagle-eyed witness saw a rifle pointed at JFK from a second story downtown building during an open-vehicle presidential motorcade in Springfield, Illinois. This was at the height of the Cuban Missile Crisis.
