Republican Sen. Tim Scott of South Carolina has put forward a bill that would stipulate that in order to receive federal funding, elementary and middle schools must secure parental approval before altering a child's designated gender, pronouns, or preferred name on forms and before permitting any child to switch which locker room or restroom they utilize.

The activist group at the center of a class-action lawsuit against Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis and other Florida officials for migrant flights to Martha’s Vineyard has received nearly $1.4 million from George Soros’ Open Society network.

Lawyers for Civil Rights, a nonprofit immigrant advocacy group, filed the lawsuit on behalf of Alianza Americas, according to a press release Tuesday that described the latter group as "a network of migrant-led organizations supporting immigrants across the United States."

Alianza Americas has received a total of $1,383,947 from George Soros' Open Society Foundations between 2016 and 2020, according to grants.

The grants came from three of his nonprofits: Open Society Institute, Open Society Policy Center and Foundation to Promote Open Society.

Although Democrat Circuit Judge Diana Motz intimated in August that those allegedly afflicted with gender dysphoria are disabled, a recent scientific study revealed that real and irreversible disabilities are in fact caused by those puberty-blocking hormone injections introduced to minors under the guise of remedies.

The taxpayer-funded, nonpartisan early childhood development organization Zero to Three held its annual four-day conference last week. The organization's speakers discussed an array of controversial topics, including how educators and parents can recognize the "emergence of a transgender identity" in 2- to 3-year-old children and how the "tenets of Critical Race Theory" can be used to "consider the role of race and identity."

It was a new week into the Alex Jones defamation trial in Waterbury that saw more fireworks outside the courtroom than inside.

On day five of the trial, Jones touched down in Connecticut and briefly went into the courthouse, only to find out that he is not expected to testify this week. He told reporters outside the courthouse keeps "jerking me around."

He criticized the trial, calling the judge a "tyrant," claiming he was simply "questioning" the tragedy in his broadcasts.

"I am being ordered to say I am guilty," he ranted to the reporters outside. "This is the murder of American justice."

A prominent Illinois Democrat is facing a number of allegations including bribery charges in connection with a red-light camera scheme.

According to Fox News, state Sen. Emil Jones, a Chicago Democrat, has been accused of accepting bribes from “Company A,” a firm based in the city that provided automated systems commonly known as “red-light cameras” used to enforce traffic laws.

The cameras give local jurisdictions the ability to enforce traffic violations and issue tickets to motorists remotely.

The outlet added:

In early 2019, Jones introduced Senate Bill 1297, which would require the Illinois Department of Transportation (IDOT) to conduct a statewide study of automated traffic law enforcement systems, which included red-light cameras.

Later that year, Jones offered to protect one specific red-light camera from the legislation in exchange for a bribe, according to court filings made public Tuesday.

While the U.S. Attorney’s office has not identified the firm “Company A,” several media outlets including the Chicago Tribune identified the company as SafeSpeed LLC, Fox News reported.

The Federal Reserve has issued another super-sized increase to interest rates, deepening the risks of a sharp economic downturn and job losses.

At the end of its two-day policy meeting on Wednesday, the US central bank raised its policy rate by 75 basis points for the third time, to a range of 3 percent to 3.25 percent, the highest level since the 2008 financial crisis.

Policymakers also projected that rates will hit 4.4 percent by year's end, a forecast that was higher than expected and sent Wall Street swinging sharply into the red.

A popular comic strip has been canned by 77 newspapers after its creator Scott Adams started incorporating anti-woke plotlines, including a character black that identifies as white.

Adams' much-loved 'Dilbert' comics have been in circulation since 1989 and frequently poke fun at office culture, but he announced he was sensationally dropped by publisher Lee Enterprises.

The media company owns nearly 100 newspapers across the country, and had been publishing Adams' jokes about the corporate ladder for years.

A Canadian school board is “standing behind” a trans teacher who sparked protests after turning up to classes with “clownish” giant prosthetic breasts.

The blond high school teacher went viral after being filmed operating a cut-off saw in class while wearing tight black shorts and balloon-like breasts drooping around the waist in a tight, striped top.

Other images taken by pupils at the school in Oakville, about 20 miles outside Toronto, showed the same teacher in other outfits, with huge nipples protruding from the fake bust.

The Halton District School Board confirmed that the person getting “significant attention online” was an Oakville High School teacher. It refused to identify the educator while warning that the wrong person had been named in online reports.

Some disturbed pupils have skipped classes held by the Oakville industrial arts teacher, who began identifying as female last year, according to the Toronto Sun.

Thousands of demonstrators took to the streets of Brussels on Wednesday for a “national day of action” to demand higher wages and lower energy prices. According to police, over 10,000 people descended on the Belgian capital as it was revealed that some 64% of the country’s citizens are afraid they may not be able to pay their bills.

The demonstrations were organized by Belgian trade unions, who claim that the average energy bill for families in the country has already increased threefold to more than €700 ($691) a month.

“It’s not that we don’t want to pay, but we can’t pay,” said Thierry Bodson, chairman of the General Labor Federation of Belgium, while speaking to thousands of union activists at the Place de la Monnaie. While the average Belgian family only makes €2,500 ($2,468) a month, Bodson pointed out that it’s “absolutely impossible” for someone below that line to pay their bills.

The head of the US Air Force has outlined some of the greatest concerns facing American soldiers – and they don’t include Russia or China. Instead, servicemen are increasingly fearful of their economic future, given skyrocketing living costs amid a severe bout of price inflation.

Delivering the keynote address at the Air and Space Forces Association’s Air, Space and Cyber conference on Monday, Air Force Secretary Frank Kendall said many troops are finding it increasingly difficult to cover basic expenses, noting that the military leadership can’t expect soldiers “to give their all to the mission when they are worried about paying for gas to get to work, finding childcare or providing their family a safe place to live.”

Turkey’s plans to join the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) have sparked an angry reaction in Berlin, with German Chancellor Olaf Scholz slamming Ankara’s decision to seek membership in the Russia and China-led economic and security bloc.

“I'm very irritated about this development,” Scholz told journalists in New York following his meeting with Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan on the sidelines of the UN General Assembly. The chancellor said he believed the SCO was “not an organization delivering an important contribution to a good global coexistence.”

Russian President Vladimir Putin announced a partial draft mobilization on September 21 and vowed to defend the right of the Donbass, Kherson and Zaporozhye regions to hold referenda on joining Russia, as the latter continues its special military operation to demilitarize and de-Nazify Ukraine.

"Once the Lugansk and Donetsk People's Republics, Zaporozhye and Kherson regions are integrated in the Russian Federation, the game is over," said Paolo Raffone, director of the CIPI Foundation, a Brussels-based geopolitical think tank. "In fact, the US president has repeatedly said that his country is not at war with Russia and that he does not want to commit US troops on the ground to fight Russia nor he wants to use non-conventional weapons. Due to the domestic problems in the US, it would be difficult to reverse such an approach at least until the presidential elections in 2024."

The referenda on joining Russia will be held in the four regions of eastern Ukraine on September 23-27. In a Wednesday address to the nation, Putin drew attention to "the policy of intimidation, terror, and violence" pursued by Kiev against Donbass residents and Ukrainians holding pro-Russian views. This policy has become "more massive, terrible and barbaric," the president underscored.

On Wednesday, Russian President Vladimir Putin stated he had signed a decree on partial mobilization in the country. According to Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu, it will only affect 1% of the Russian mobilization resource.

In his address to the nation, Vladimir Putin commented on the special military operation in Ukraine, saying that the goal of the op remains the same - the liberation of Donbass. The president stressed that Russian troops are acting competently, as they are clearing cities from neo-Nazis and rescuing people from the Ukrainian regime.

At the same time, he said Moscow will support the results of the referendums in the DPR, LPR, Kherson and Zaporozhye regions, which are scheduled for September 23-27.

Both Russian president Vladimir Putin and Minister of Defense Sergei Shoigu delivered speeches on Wednesday in the wake of announcements by the Donbass Republics as well as the Kherson and Zaporozhye regions that they are planning to hold votes on joining Russia on September 23-27.

In his TV address on Wednesday, Russian Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu said that Russia was at war with the collective West rather than Ukraine.

“In reality, we are fighting the collective West plus NATO. When we speak about it, we mean not only the weapons being supplied [to Kiev] in huge batches, but also about systems of communication and information processing systems,” Shoigu said.

The US Air Force and Space Force are now both operating some of the oldest equipment in their history and in the race to equip them in time for any potential conflict with near peer adversaries, time is not on their side, retired Air Force Gen. Douglas Raaberg told the Air Force Association (AFSA) conference on Tuesday.

"Our air and space forces of today are operating some of the oldest equipment in our history," Raaberg, who is now AFA executive vice president, said. "The forces are smaller and inadequately funded to meet the requirements of the national security strategy."

Raaberg warned that the US Air Force and Space Force  as well as defense contractors had to move at a much faster rate to match and, where necessary, catch up with advances being made by other nations in aerospace and related technologies.

Republican Missouri Sen. Josh Hawley will introduce legislation Wednesday that puts colleges and universities on the hook for student debt.

The bill was first obtained by the Daily Caller and is titled the Make the Universities Pay Act. The Legislation would require institutions of higher education participating in the Federal Direct Student Loan Program to pay 50% of any student loan balance that is in default.

The Make the Universities Pay Act would also allow student loan debt to be discharged in bankruptcy and allow undergraduate student loan debt to be discharged five years after the first payment is due, while graduate student loan can be discharged 15 years after the first payment is due. In addition, the bill requires each institution of higher education participating in federal financial aid programs to publish post-graduate outcomes, including mean and median earnings of graduates and student loan default rates, disaggregated by each degree or program of study.

The Biden administration is taking executive action to forgive $10,000 per borrower. The move would clear $321 billion of federal student loans and clear the student debt for almost 12 million people, according to CNBC.
