This week several major web browsers quickly severed ties with a mysterious software company used to certify the security of websites, three weeks after the Washington Post exposed its connections to a US military contractor, the Post reports.
TrustCor Systems provided 'certificates' to browsers to Mozilla Firefox and Microsoft Edge, which vouched for the legitimacy of said websites.
"Certificate Authorities have highly trusted roles in the internet ecosystem and it is unacceptable for a CA to be closely tied, through ownership and operation, to a company engaged in the distribution of malware," said Mozilla's Kathleen Wilson in an email to browser security experts. "Trustcor’s responses via their Vice President of CA operations further substantiates the factual basis for Mozilla’s concerns."
According to TrustCor's Panamanian (!?) registration records, the company has the same slate of officers, agents and officers as Arizona-based Packet Forensics, which has sold communication interception services to the U.S. government for over a decade.
One of those contracts listed the “place of performance” as Fort Meade, Md., the home of the National Security Agency and the Pentagon’s Cyber Command.
The case has put a new spotlight on the obscure systems of trust and checks that allow people to rely on the internet for most purposes. Browsers typically have more than a hundred authorities approved by default, including government-owned ones and small companies, to seamlessly attest that secure websites are what they purport to be. -WaPo
VoterGA released supporting evidence showing Herschel Walker did have 20,000 votes vanish from the amounts being reported by the media during the recent November election.
We reported previously on suspect reporting in the 2022 Senate race in Georgia. At one point in the evening, a large chunk of ballots was reported for Democrat Raphael Warnock that put him into the lead.
We also reported today that Warnock benefited more than any candidate in the US in the 2022 election from millions in donations from unemployed actors over the past year. This is criminal.
You may have never heard the term ‘expiring money’. Expiring money is basically money that comes with an expiration date. In other words, on a certain date in the future, it’s value will fall to zero.
According to the World Bank Blog (Part 1 and Part 2), expiring money is programmable money. It can transfer ownership, transfer value and be redeemable at a maturity date.
In ‘Expiring Money (Part 1)’ the authors Bossone and Faragallah expound on a few more of the applications of this utility:
…’Programmable money could eventually allow for far-reaching scenarios where the government limits access to scarce resources, applying dynamic fees on the use of, say, electricity or tolled roads, based on their usage or carbon emission measurements, and attaching pay-per-use systems to houses and cars, as discussed by Casey (2020).’…
The Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) recommended prohibiting the operators of Southwestern Alaska’s Pebble Mine from disposing of waste material in the nearby Bristol Bay, a regulation that would prevent the mine from opening. However, the mine could generate billions in revenue by producing minerals that are crucial in supporting the Biden administration’s “clean energy transition.”
We’ve been hearing some bombshell revelations as a result of the files released by Twitter owner Elon Musk showing the prior suppression of free speech.
The files showed the Biden team was asking to have people suspended, including regarding people who were posting information that had been found on the Hunter Biden laptop.
Then as I reported earlier, one of the people they went after was actor James Woods who had posted a picture on Oct. 24, 2020, that looked like it was Hunter Biden smoking drugs. The files released by Musk show that the DNC contacted Twitter to take action against Woods.
The conflict between France and Germany is not new. The enmity between the two neighbours has become entrenched in the hearts of their peoples since the Franco-Prussian War of 1870-1871.
This conflict took military, economic, and even social forms, and continued during the first and second world wars. However, with the establishment of the EU and the unification of the European currency, it subdued.
The two countries are considered a cornerstone of the EU, as they have the two largest economies on the continent.
However, when the Russian-Ukrainian War started, rifts between the two nations reignited on issues such as energy, defence, and the economy. The Russian gas outage and its economic impact is especially at the forefront of the rift.
This crisis showed the fragility of European economies, as Europe faces a deepening energy crisis as it prepares for a cold winter. Moreover, the crisis sparked debate about the EU itself if it fails to secure the needs of its people.
Elon Musk gave the Twitter files over to journalist Matt Taibbi.
Taibbi put together a report he published on Twitter on Friday and it’s wild.
Team Biden was colluding with Twitter to ban pro-Trump material even before the election. This is really a complete outrage, and worse than even I thought it was. I assumed there were pro-Biden people at Twitter who were just doing it for The Party. Biden’s own people sending the emails is beyond the pale.
THE FORMER US PRESIDENT’S SON HAS REPEATEDLY CONDEMNED THE BIDEN ADMINISTRATION FOR SENDING MONEY TO KIEV.
Donald Trump Jr. has called out Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky for his recent crackdown on the Ukrainian Orthodox Church. A vocal critic of the Biden administration’s Ukraine policy, Trump Jr. jokingly suggested that the government “send him another $100 billion with no accountability.”
“Zelensky is banning the Ukrainian Orthodox Church,” Trump Jr. tweeted on Friday. “His government has also been raiding Ukrainian Orthodox churches and arresting priests. (Prob why he’s a [Democrat] superstar).”
“He’s all about freedom guys,” Trump Jr. jeered. “Let’s send him another $100,000,000,000.00 with no accountability.”
America’s favorite moneypot is back, just in time for our American leaders’ favorite pleasure: persecuting devout Christians on the basis of their faith. Yesterday, President Zelensky of Ukraine announced Draft Law 8821, which will make the Ukrainian Orthodox Church illegal throughout the country. The law, if passed, will also allow the Ukrainian government the ability to confiscate all church property and outlaw both public and private practice of the religion.
The COP27 climate change conference wrapped up last month. World leaders flew in private jets to Egypt to discuss how fossil fuels were quickly heating the planet to the point of no return, as humanity was doomed if crucial climate change policies weren't implemented. But while the climate alarmist leaders met in the desert, November's snowfall across the Northern Hemisphere was running at rates exceeding a half-a-century average.
NOAA and Rutgers University released new data that showed snow cover across the Northern Hemisphere reached the highest level since measurements began in 1967 and are currently above the 56-year mean.
Alexander Soros, the heir apparent to left wing billionaire George Soros’ political and philanthropic mission, has traded selfies with beauties and bros for handshakes and hugs with world leaders.
The 36-year-old son of the Democratic mega-donor just attended the Munich Security Conference in Germany, where he joined heads of state occupied with the looming threat of Russia’s invasion of Ukraine.
Soros, who in younger days was snapped partying in the Hamptons — where he had been described as “making out with the babes” at East End hotspots — now fills his social media feed with photos of political heavy hitters. He welcomed House Speaker Nancy Pelosi to a dinner put on by his dad’s Open Society Foundations in Munich; posed with and praised Democratic Rep. Adam Schiff of California, and posted snaps to his Instagram shaking hands with the prime minister of Kosovo and president of Rwanda.
Planned Parenthood Center for Sex Education Executive Director Bill Taverner is facing severe backlash after clips surfaced of him claiming that babies are “sexual from birth” and that children should be given pornography.
A now-retired Maine state trooper has been awarded $300,000 in a lawsuit after facing retaliation for blowing the whistle on a state police division that was gathering intelligence on several groups of people, including gun owners.
Under Secretary of State for Political Affairs Victoria Nuland's words that Russia has not resorted to the use of nuclear weapons in Ukraine because of Western ‘warnings’ are nothing but an attempt to shift blame, Russian Foreign Ministry Spokeswoman Maria Zakharova said on her Telegram channel on Saturday, noting that Moscow repeatedly stated that nuclear war was unacceptable.
The diplomat drew attention to Nuland's words in the Ukrainskaya Pravda newspaper that Russian President Vladimir Putin decided not to resort to the use of nuclear weapons allegedly because of "tough warnings" from other states, as well as the unacceptability of strikes on energy infrastructure.
"Victoria Nuland has once again defeated herself: first, through her own controlled media and think tanks, she inflated the topic of the nuclear threat from Russia, and now she is trying to put the blame where it belongs: allegedly nuclear Armageddon did not happen because of 'tough warnings' (and not because no one on this side of the border was planning it)," Zakharova said. In this regard, the Russian Foreign Ministry Spokeswoman recalled the ministry's statement published on November 2 on the prevention of nuclear war.
The assistant US secretary of state, Victoria Nuland, has apologised after her phone conversation about the political crisis in Ukraine was leaked on the internet. The call between Nuland and a US ambassador focused on the future of the country if it gains a new government. Nuland declined to comment on 'private diplomatic conversations'
It is impossible to abolish Russian culture in Europe, it is not subject to European bureaucrats trying to stimulate anti-Russian sentiments, Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov said.
"I would like to express our solidarity with all those who, while living abroad, continue to associate themselves with the Russian Federation, with their homeland, who take care of the language, who bring up children and grandchildren in their language, and try to promote the interpenetration of cultures... Russians now in modern Europe carried our culture, enriched the countries in which they found themselves," Lavrov said at a press conference, addressing compatriots.
"This culture cannot be abolished, it is beyond the control of any Borrels and other bureaucrats trying to stimulate Russophobic sentiments, trying to incite the ordinary population, well, just discriminate against Russians," the minister added.
[This week, Russian Foreign Ministry spokesperson Maria Zakharova delivered the following explosive response to Chrystia Freeland’s recent obnoxious efforts to ban Russia from all international organizations and financial institutions. Zakharova’s remarks follow in full]
At recent meetings of the finance ministers of the G7 and G20, Canadian Deputy Prime Minister Chrystia Freeland actively advocated the exclusion of Russia from global financial institutions and international organizations.
At the same time, Ottawa has again increased the supply of weapons to Ukraine, including the Karl Gustav ATGM from the Canadian Armed Forces.
All this is a response to new alleged evidence of “atrocities of the Russian military.” Shortly before the G20 meeting, Freeland bluntly stated: “War crimes were committed in Ukraine. The evidence we have seen is simply appalling.”
