Japanese Prime Minister's Office: "North Korea has launched a suspected ballistic missile”. Update: South Korea’s Joint Chiefs of Staff reported that it had detected approximately 10 suspected short-range ballistic missiles launched near the North Korean capital of Pyongyang toward the sea.

You don’t need to be an expert on Asian economic and security issues to know that if Japan and Korea want to avoid war and to make a lot of money, they should pivot away from America completely and line up with the Chinese. This is very obvious.

It’s unclear if the Japanese and Koreans are so driven by Poland-style hatred that they are willing to sacrifice everything in order to pursue an anti-China agenda, or if they are looking for an exit strategy.

Chinese Ambassador to Japan, Wu Jianghao, today publicly announced “The Japanese people will be dragged into a fiery hell,”  after Japan pledged support to Taiwan.

The ambassador has already been summoned to the Taiwan Foreign Ministry.

WOW!  That language is so unusual as to be completely unknown coming from _any_ China official.

Seems as though old animosities are resurfacing in Asia.
