"'Congress shall make no law respecting an institution of religion.' -- The First Amendment to the Constitution

A Nativity scene (or a Menorah for that matter) is not a law, it is a decoration. And on that basis, even though I myself am an atheist, I do not have a problem with Nativity scenes on government property, other than they are a reminder that those are the people we are bombing to steal their oil.

I do draw the line at the Ten Commandments being on display on government buildings with its prohibitions against lying, theft, and killing, as that clearly is a case of false advertising!" -- Michael Rivero

Republicans have been demanding answers on the lack of transparency on visitor logs from President Joe Biden’s Delaware home — and the response they just got won’t make things better moving forward.

Frustrated the FBI won't produce a key piece of subpoenaed evidence in the Biden family corruption probe, the Republican-led House is making preparations to hold Director Christopher Wray in contempt.

And one lawmaker has a preferred penalty: throwing the FBI boss in the U.S. Capitol's secretive detention jail known as the "the brig."

Republicans Say Obama Was Aware of Biden Family Business Dealings MikeRivero Wed, 05/31/2023 - 14:03

House Oversight Committee Chairman James Comer has made a claim that implicated former President Barack Obama in regard to allegations involving the family of his then-Vice President Joe Biden.

In an interview, Comer hinted that Obama was aware of the Biden family’s questionable international business deals that have been the focus of a years-long federal probe.

Republican leaders of two key House committees have launched a probe into the Biden administration’s handling of fossil fuel leasing practices after a leaked “energy security” memo.

House Oversight Chairman James Comer and Natural Resources Chairman Bruce Westerman informed senior Department of the Interior official Laura Daniel-Davis of a probe in a letter. The correspondence criticized the DOI’s oil and gas leasing delays and Daniel-Davis’ recent memo prioritizing climate considerations over energy security. Seventeen House Republicans joined in signing the letter.

A newly discovered document from March 1991 shows US, UK, French, and German officials discussing a pledge made to Russia that NATO will not expand to Poland and beyond. Its publication by the German magazine Der Spiegel on Friday proves Moscow right and NATO wrong on the matter.

US Congress appears to be getting cold feet over giving Australia one of its most secret weapons.

Meanwhile, it’s pressing ahead with plans to redesign its nuclear submarines to suit America’s specific needs – not Australia’s.

The Congressional Research Service report, Navy Virginia Class Attack Submarine Procurement: Background and Issues for Congress, pulls no punches about the core project behind former Prime Minister Scott Morrison’s 2021 defence collaboration announcement.

Based upon information which came to me discreetly via postal mail, I have concluded that World War 3 can kick-off in less than two weeks, between the dates of June 12 thru 24.   The largest NATO air 'exercise" - Air Defender 23 - takes place in that time period; may cover Ukraine "Counter-Offensive."

As described during my Memorial Day radio show last night, my wife and son came up to the house here in Pennsylvania, from our regular home in New Jersey, this past Saturday evening.  They brought with them, postal mail from my P.O. Box which has accumulated for about 3 weeks.

House Committee Advances Debt Ceiling Deal To Full Vote MikeRivero Wed, 05/31/2023 - 08:43

The deal to raise the debt ceiling cleared a critical hurdle Tuesday night, after the House Rules Committee voted 7-6 to advance the bill to the full House for a consideration, with every Democrat on the committee voting against the bill - as did GOP Freedom Caucus members Chip Roy of Texas and Ralph Normal of South Carolina.

Prior to clearing the Rules Committee, speculation swirled over whether Rep. Thomas Massie (R-KY) would vote to approve the measure. A 'no' vote would have killed the bill.
