DOJ's Garland Faces New Wave Of Resignation Demands

Republican Sen. Josh Hawley of Missouri is demanding Attorney General Merrick Garland's departure from his service after Garland "mobilized the FBI to intimidate parents without legal basis." Hawley suggested Garland's actions were a "dangerous abuse of authority."

Hawley's comments came shortly after the National School Board Association issued an explanation to its members Friday night and claimed: "there was no justification for some of the language included in the letter." The letter was sent just before Garland issued a memorandum directing the FBI to take the lead on a task force to address threats against school officials, including creating a centralized way to report such threats.

Barack Obama Calls Outcry over Loudoun County Rape Coverup ‘Phony, Trumped-Up Culture War’

Former President Barack Obama campaigned for former Virginia Gov. Terry McAuliffe on Saturday, urging voters to dismiss controversial issues raised by parents of children in public schools.

Parents in Virginia and around the country are furious over a report of a female student who was allegedly raped by a “gender fluid” boy in a in a public school girls’ bathroom in Loudoun County.

They were even more furious after the Loudoun County school system tried to cover up the assault, and prosecute the victim’s father for speaking out during a school board meeting. The 14-year-old was arrested in July and charged with two counts of forcible sodomy.

University Politicization Now Terminal. But We Will Survive

Traditional “universities” continue to collapse before our eyes. The politicization of institutions that were once focused on the cold pursuit of truth is so extreme that they are turning on their own. Thus Prof. David Miller, of England’s prestigious Bristol University, was recently fired, for anti-Semitism, due his being persistently critical of Israel [Bristol University: Professor David Miller sacked over Israel comments, BBC News, October 1, 2021]. And Yale University Law School recently declared that its merely having an association with a conservative organization—the Federalist Society—was “triggering” for its students. This can’t go on.

Josh Hawley Demands AG Garland’s Resignation over Intimidating Parents with FBI ‘Without Legal Basis’

Sen. Josh Hawley (R-MO) on Friday evening demanded Attorney General Merrick Garland’s resignation over intimidating parents with the FBI due to faulty information from National School Board Association (NSBA).

“Merrick Garland mobilized the FBI to intimidate parents without legal basis and, we now know, premised on misinformation he didn’t bother to verify,” Hawley tweeted. “It was a dangerous abuse of authority that has badly compromised the Justice Dept’s integrity and Garland’s. He should resign.”

Harvard Crimson: Miasma Theory of White Supremacy

Normally, I try not to have fun at the expense of high school students (except for that hedge fund manager’s insufferable son who got into Stanford by writing “Black Lives Matter” 100 times. Federal Gov Pays University $750k to Create Tool That Warns Journalists Against Publishing “Polarizing” Content

By Katelynn Richardson

The NSF project titled “A System for Mapping the (Local) Journalism Life Cycle to Rebuild the Nation’s News Trust” will warn journalists when content may be “triggering” of unfavorable discourse.

The National Science Foundation (NSF) provided a $750,000 grant to Temple University researchers for developing a product that tracks local journalism cycles, which is part of their new “Trust & Authenticity in Communication Systems” initiative.

The “America’s Fourth Estate at Risk: A System for Mapping the (Local) Journalism Life Cycle to Rebuild the Nation’s News Trust” project aims to create a data-based tool that informs journalists when publishing content might result in “negative unintended outcomes” like “the triggering of uncivil, polarizing discourse, audience misinterpretation, the production of misinformation, and the perpetuation of false narratives.”...

National School Board Association head talked to White House for WEEKS before asking to rein in ‘domestic terrorist’ parents

Leaders of the US National School Board Association failed to consult their own board and were in touch with the White House before publishing a letter with a call to label unruly parents as “domestic terrorists," emails reveal.

In a letter to President Joe Biden last month, the NSBA insisted that the classification of parents’ disruptive actions at school board meetings “could be the equivalent to a form of domestic terrorism and hate crimes,” calling on Biden to direct the Justice Department to apply the Patriot Act “in regards to domestic terrorism” wherever possible.

On Thursday, a trove of NSBA emails obtained by Parents Defending Education through a public information request revealed that the president of the association, Viola Garcia, and CEO Chip Slaven had been communicating with the White House for weeks before the final version of the controversial letter was sent out to the media.

'Trump's DOJ was political? Are you kidding?' Republicans grill Biden's AG Merrick Garland as he defends FBI school board memo, insists parents are entitled to protest and denies calling them domestic terrorists

Republicans on the House Judiciary Committee are tearing into Biden's Attorney General Merrick Garland at his first appearance before the panel on Thursday.

Rep. Jim Jordan (R-OH) kicked off Garland's hearing on a raucous note with an opening statement attacking Garland and his Democratic colleagues.

'The chairman just said Trump's DOJ was political. Are you kidding me?' Jordan asked in response to Chair Rep. Jerry Nadler's opening statement.

He accused the DOJ of 'opening a snitch line on parents' with his memo announcing a crackdown on school board meeting incidents and giving lawmakers who asked about it 'the finger.'

'Republicans on this committee have sent the Attorney General 13 letters in the last six months,' he said. 'Eight of the letters, we've got nothing - they just gave us the finger.'

'Folks all around the country, they tell me, for the first time they are afraid of their government.'

AG Merrick Garland Admits He Took Word of National School Boards Association to Target Parents as ‘Domestic Terrorists’

U.S. Attorney General Merrick Garland admitted during a hearing of the House Judiciary Committee Thursday he took the word of the National School Boards Association (NSBA) that parents voicing concerns at their local school board meetings should be targeted as “domestic terrorists.”

Over half of students reported feeling 'institutional betrayal' at a university during the pandemic

The first survey found 67% of students reported experiencing at least one type of coronavirus-related institutional betrayal. That level dipped slightly in the second survey, which found that 55% of students reported the same. Both surveys found that those feelings were linked to trauma.

Students reported the same most common instances of institutional betrayal in both studies: creating environments "where transmission and/or safety violations seemed common or normal," as well as "where transmission and/or safety violations seemed more likely to occur."

Among the least commonly reported forms of institutional betrayal — experienced by 10% of students in the first survey — were punishment for expressing concerns and denying an experience related to COVID-19 in some way.

The researchers offered several explanations for why a lower share of students reported at least one type of institutional betrayal in the second survey.

The laws against discrimination on the basis of race apply without regard to the particular race discriminated against. Discrimination favoring blacks or non-whites is just as illegal as discrimination favoring whites.

That’s a core legal principle, but a principle that gets swept aside in an era where Ibram X. Kendi’s maxim that current discrimination is justified to remedy past discrimination is worshipped in academia, corporations, and government.

Most problems in life don’t have legal process answers. But racially discriminatory government policies and practices are subject to suit.We have covered numerous cases in which government programs that discriminated on the basis of race in favoring non-whites, for example:

Just last week, lame duck outgoing Mayor Bill de Blasio announced that New York City will be abolishing all of its gifted and talented programs for public school students.

New York City Mayor Bill de Blasio unveiled a plan Friday to phase out the gifted and talented programs for elementary school students that many educators say discriminate against Black and Hispanic children enrolled in the nation’s largest public school system.

The gifted and talented program will be replaced by a program in which all children are thrown into a Harrison Bergeron-like “pool” where everyone is special. How big is this enlarged pool? Large enough to potentially encompass the entire population of New York’s public schools.

It will be replaced by a program called “Brilliant NYC” that will expand the pool of students being offered accelerated learning, and not limit it to just the incoming kindergarteners who scored well on an optional exam that put them on a path to attend the city’s elite middle schools and high schools.

“This Idea of Intellectual Debate and Rigor as the Pinnacle of Intellectualism Comes from a World in Which White Men Dominated"

Phoebe A. Cohen is a geosciences professor and department chair at Williams College and one of many who expressed anger on Twitter at M.I.T.’s decision to invite Dr. Abbot to speak, given that he has spoken against affirmative action in the past.

Dr. Cohen agreed that Dr. Abbot’s views reflect a broad current in American society. Ideally, she said, a university should not invite speakers who do not share its values on diversity and affirmative action. Nor was she enamored of M.I.T.’s offer to let him speak at a later date to the M.I.T. professors. “Honestly, I don’t know that I agree with that choice,” she said. “To me, the professional consequences are extremely minimal.”

What, she was asked, of the effect on academic debate? Should the academy serve as a bastion of unfettered speech?Dr. Abbot said his speech would not include his views about diversity and affirmative action, but faculty and graduate students objected to his invitation.

Professor Suing UCLA After Being Put on Leave for Refusing to Let Black Students Pass an Exam - Regardless of Grade - in the Memory of George Floyd

An accounting professor at UCLA said he filed a lawsuit against the school after it put him on leave and allegedly threatened to fire him for not grading Black student’s more leniently than their peers.

“Recently, I was suspended from my job for refusing to treat my black students as lesser than their non-black peers,” Gordon Klein wrote in an op-ed titled, “Why I Am Suing UCLA.”

The ordeal began, according to Klein, on June 2, 2020, eight days after George Floyd was killed in Minneapolis. A white student emailed Klein asking for a “no harm” final for Black students, meaning low grades would not be counted, in response to “unjust murders of Ahmaud Arbery, Breonna Taylor and George Floyd.”

Klein described the proposal as “deeply patronizing and offensive” to Black students and said the email left him “shocked.”

Michelle Malkin: Who's Choking Off Your Children?

The latest horror story involving COVID-19 control freaks erupted right here in my backyard on Friday. It's breathtaking. Literally. No responsible parent can in good conscience sit by silently while pandemic tyrants choke off our children's freedom and oxygen supply.

Stephanie M. is a work-at-home mother of three young daughters. On Friday, she received a text from her sixth grade daughter, Rylee. It was a selfie photo of the girl taken at Chinook Trail Middle School in Colorado Springs. Anatomy of a progressive tyranny over parents that will shock you

For months, widespread parent-led uprisings against school boards have pitted everyday mothers and fathers against powerful political bureaucracies. Skirmishes across the country have revealed the radicalism — and ruthlessness — of the educators and administrators who run the American education system.

But none has been as gruesome as that of Scott Smith, the Loudoun County father who became a target of the managerial class that presides over the wealthy northern Virginia suburb.

Smith, a plumber by trade, told The Daily Wire that he was ignored and eventually prosecuted by local authorities for calling attention to the sexual assault of his ninth-grade daughter, which he says was perpetrated by a male student wearing a dress in a Loudoun County Public Schools (LCPS) bathroom. Privately, Smith was assured that his daughter’s May 28 assault would be handled “internally.”

There's a phenomenon that is occurring as the planscamdemic narrative is beginning to break down, and that phenomenon is not only the bifurcation of the culture, but of the workplace as well, a phenomenon hastened by the ridiculous "one size fits all" mandate-and-medicine policy of the regime of President* Bidenenko. Consider: one result of the "narrative" has been that more and more parents were able to see exactly what their children were being subjected to in Amairikuhn edgykayshun; some have responded by pulling their children out of the schools completely, other by protesting local school boards and in some cases, getting those boards fired and overturned.

Ethnic Studies Mandated in California

It is more-or-less accepted that Jewish Zionists pretty much control many aspects of what comes out the other end of US foreign policy formulation and have plausibly done so since the time of President Bill Clinton, if not before. It was also a given that President Donald Trump, for all his talk of Making America Great Again, would shower benefits on Israel, a propensity that has already become well established for the Joe Biden Administration. And it should also surprise no one to learn that the benefits derived from the Israel-lean in foreign policy accrue to the Jewish state, allowing it to continue its human rights violations and war crimes at will. The benefit to the US Taxpayer, who generously funds the enterprise, amounts to nothing in return but the scorn of much of the rest of the world that sees Washington as Jerusalem’s poodle.

I have worked with David for many years now, co-published work on the theory of propaganda, researched and written about the UK FCO propaganda operation (ongoing) that has sought to overthrow the Syrian government, and developed the fledging Organisation for Propaganda Studies. David was, is, and will continue to be, a major intellectual force with respect to our understanding of propaganda, and his integrity, particularly in relation to the Israel-Palestine issue, is now cemented in history. He became a voice for the Palestinians, highlighting the ways in which propaganda has worked in order to simultaneously suppress public understanding of the nefarious actions of the Israeli government against them and erase awareness of their plight.

NCAA panel recommends nixing standardized testing requirements for athlete eligibility

The NCAA created the task force as part of an eight-point plan to address racial equity issues. Critics of the SAT and ACT say they cater to wealthy and White students and are a barrier to applying to college for their low-income counterparts.

The pandemic early on shut down common SAT and ACT testing sites, leading a significant contingent of colleges to no longer require the scores as part of their admissions processes. Many institutions adopted multi-year pilots of test-optional admissions, and experts in enrollment management anticipate these policies will often stick post-crisis. Notably, too, many schools switched to test-free admissions, meaning they refuse to consider the scores at all.

The NCAA panel's recommendation "aligns directly with that movement," in admissions, the task force's leader, David Wilson, said in a statement. Wilson is president of Morgan State University, a historically Black institution in Baltimore.

The Surveillance State Grows: UK Schools Will Use Facial Recognition to Speed Up Lunch Payments

By J. Fingas

Facial recognition may soon play a role in your child’s lunch. The Financial Times reports that nine schools in the UK’s North Ayrshire will start taking payments for canteen (aka cafeteria) lunches by scanning students’ faces. The technology should help minimize touch during the pandemic, but is mainly meant to speed up transaction times. That could be important when you may have roughly 25 minutes to serve an entire school of hungry kids...

Big Brother Watch and England’s Biometrics Commissioner both maintained that facial recognition was arbitrary. There was a concern that school rollouts might normalize face scanning and numb students to privacy concerns...

Texas Official Caught Instructing Teachers to Balance Holocaust Books With ‘Opposing’ Views

The Texas official at the center of the story has been identified as Gina Peddy. She reportedly made the comment Friday afternoon during a training session in which administrators discussed which books would be allowed in classroom libraries.

The training took place in response to a parent’s complaint that prompted the Carroll school board to vote on reprimanding a fourth grade teacher that kept an anti-racism text in her classroom.

A Carroll staff member is said to have discreetly recorded the Friday training where Peddy referenced Texas House Bill 3979, which requires teachers to present many perspectives when discussing “widely debated and controversial” subjects.

WATCH — Loudoun County School Board Meeting Erupts After Sex Assault Bombshell: ‘You Buried a Rape’

Parents in Loudoun County, Virginia, were livid Tuesday night over an alleged coverup of sexual assault as debate rages over a transgender policy allowing male students to use female facilities such as restrooms and locker rooms.

Tuesday’s Loudoun County school board meeting, which has been a national hotbed of controversy over the implementation of radical Critical Race Theory and transgender policies, was dominated by parents speaking up about the alleged coverup of a sexual assault by a student who identifies as a transgender woman, according to an explosive report. Many parents called for the resignations of school board members.

Meet the Nebraska Parents Who Exposed Sex-Ed Activists

Jason Martinez, a nurse anesthetist in Nebraska, has work in two hours. It is 4 a.m. and Martinez is sifting through hundreds of pages of government documents he obtained through a public information request. His wife is worried about his sleep, that is until he starts reading aloud the messages, the snide remarks state bureaucrats and their activist allies made as they wrote a curriculum that would teach the couple's daughters, aged 13 and 15, about transgender hormone therapy and the merits of abortion. Mrs. Martinez was no longer worried about her husband, but her children.

"I would have never dreamt a year ago that I would be caught up in something like this," Jason Martinez told the Washington Free Beacon. "It’s terrible. It’s demoralizing. It’s taking away morality for an ultimate agenda."

A teen sex predator in a skirt gaming a school’s transgender policy in order to rape a fellow student is every parent’s nightmare

Woke schools implementing ‘guidance’ on trans pupils literally opens the bathroom door to manipulative potential predators, while teachers colluding to hide a child's gender worries from their parents is a gross breach of trust.
As a parent of schoolkids, I’m all up for pastoral care, a bit of safeguarding, wellbeing and welfare protection but when that oversteps the mark into teachers and administrators deceiving mums and dads about what’s going on with their children, I’m sorry, that’s too much.

If that deception, however, also involves the cover-up of children being raped by their fellow pupils as a result of a woke school administration’s gender policy, then that would take most parents’ anger to a whole new level.

Schools starting to ban terms like ‘good’ and ‘bad’ when describing students’ behavior

According to reports, the headteacher of a school in England wanted to remove “emotional words” from classroom management, so the terms “good” and “bad” are no longer allowed to be used when describing student behavior.

Teachers at Loughborough Amherst School will now describe good and bad behavior as either “skillful or unskillful.” Headmaster Dr. Julian Murphy stated that the policy, loaned from Buddhism, was “designed to take the emotional heat out of language.”

Dr. Murphy said that while he did not want teachers to be “soft,” he didn’t want them to be “shouty” either, or to make “pupils feel guilty.” He added:

“I think it’s human psychology, even when you’re an adult – if people make you feel guilty, then you get angry and then actually that’s when you’re likely to play the blame game and not to work that well. That’s when things get into a big of a vicious cycle.”

Cities Lead the Way in (Another) Massive Fall Exodus from US Public Schools

By Kerry McDonald

Many parents pulled their children out of school last year for homeschooling and other private options, as schools remained shuttered due to the coronavirus response. Nationwide, homeschooling numbers tripled last year from their pre-pandemic levels, driven largely by black families who left district schools for homeschooling at the highest rate of any demographic group and are now over-represented in the homeschooling population compared to K-12 public schools. With most schools open for full-time, in-person learning this year, it seemed reasonable to assume that parents would eagerly re-enroll their children in their local district school, tabling last year’s alternative education plans.

Transracialism: UK Teachers Union Members Allowed to Self-Identify as Black

A leading higher education trade union in Britain has drawn criticism after supporting so-called trans-racialism, in which people can self-identify as another race.

Last week, the Edinburgh branch of the University and College Union (UCU) wrote on social media to reassert its position in favour of “trans inclusion”, saying that “liberation cannot be built on exclusion”.

The post linked to a 2019 document entitled “UCU position on trans inclusion”, in which the union argued for its members to be able to self-identify as “being black, disabled, LGBT+ or women”.

A staff member at Edinburgh University, who declined to be named out of fear of drawing the ire of the union, told The Times that the issue of trans rights was being “weaponised” in order to force out academics who fail to follow the party line.

“The branch is being used as a platform for an ideological crusade, with no resistance from University of Edinburgh management,” they said.

Relentless official propaganda demonizing “the Unvaccinated” is being pumped out by the corporate and state media, government leaders, health officials, and shrieking fanatics on social media. “The Unvaccinated” are the new official “Untermenschen,” an underclass of subhuman “others” the New Normal masses are being conditioned to hate.

MERRICK GARLAND Threat Against Parent’s 1st Amendment Right Backfires…Dad Serves Stunned School Board With $200 Million Lawsuit In Middle of Meeting [VIDEO]

We are in serious trouble in the United States of America. We have a mostly incoherent “president” that over half of America doesn’t believe was elected fairly. Joe Biden is likely taking orders from unelected people working behind the scenes with an agenda that is so evil that, if exposed by our dishonest media, would shock our nation to its core.

Two Americas: Poll Shows 44% of Voters Support FBI Targeting Anti-CRT Parents, 47% Oppose

A plurality of American voters oppose the Biden administration’s move to investigate parents publicly opposing school policies, such as Critical Race Theory (CRT), a Rasmussen Reports survey released Wednesday found.

This month, Attorney General Merrick Garland announced he is directing the FBI to investigate parents opposing radical school policies, such as CRT, in order to combat supposed “threats of violence” against administrators. The move followed example after example of impassioned parents directly confronting school boards over their radical agenda items.

However, a plurality of likely voters disagree with Garland’s move. According to the survey, 47 percent oppose the federal investigation. Of those, 39 percent “strongly” oppose it. Another 44 percent support the decision, and among those, just over a quarter “strongly” support it.

‘Woke’ School Actively Covered Up Rape of Girl in Transgender Bathroom — The Father Was ARRESTED For Confronting Teachers

Wokeism Finally Takes Freedom Of Speech In Schools

Students at one of the most prestigious college preparatory schools in the United States could reportedly gamble expulsion for single instances of speech someone considers offensive.

St. Albans School in Washington, D.C., is circulating an "anti-bias" draft policy among its administrators about possible punishment for "hate speech," according to documents obtained by the Washington Free Beacon.

"It is the impact of hate speech, rather than the intent of those perpetrating it, that is of utmost importance," the draft policy states, continuing that boys could face expulsion "even in the case of a single expression, act, or gesture."

According to the draft policy, offenses can include "misplaced humor," and such violations "should be reported immediately to the student's adviser" by students, teachers, or parents.

The administrator will also work with lawyers and academics to develop "legal theories" that contest laws that prevent CRT from being taught in schools. The director will work in the school’s department of Critical Race Studies, which "trains students to both analyze how the law and legal institutions erect racial hierarchies and how to dismantle those same hierarchies."

“Since your non-compliance with this requirement poses a threat to the safety and well-being of the University community, the following interim measure applies to you,” Katz wrote in the threatening letter.

Parents want Loudoun County, Va. school board to quit after accusation it covered up bathroom rape by ‘gender-fluid sex predator’

The school board in Virginia’s Loudoun County involved in a gender-affirmation policy row with parents has been accused of covering up an alleged bathroom rape by a ‘gender-fluid’ teen who allegedly committed a second sex offense.

The lengthy conflict between the Loudoun County School Board (LCSB) and parents unhappy with its policy to better accommodate the needs of transgender students has reached a new level of intensity this week.

One of the protesting parents accused the board of covering up something that Superintendent Scott Ziegler claimed simply couldn’t happen – a sexual assault in a girls’ bathroom by a biologically male student, who was granted access to it because of their purported gender fluidity. The cover-up allegedly allowed the perpetrator to sexually assault another victim.

Parents stunned as scantily-clad pole dancers entertain kindergarten children on first day of school

A kindergarten located in south-east China has been slammed by furious parents after it had organized a pole dancing performance as a back-to-school welcome for the children. Footage of the strange performance that was uploaded to social media on September 3 showed a woman wearing barely-there clothing and high heels while spinning around the pole for an audience consisting of confused children and angry parents.

The school, Xinshashui Kindergarten in the Bao'an District of Shenzhen, China, has since issued an apology and has said that the pole dancing performance was well-intentioned. Shocked parents posted videos of the performance on social media and many of them have now said that they are trying to pull their children out of the school and get the tuition money back.

New York City Phases Out Gifted and Talented Programs in Elementary Schools Because Too Few Non-Whites Admitted to the Program

Mayor Bill de Blasio on Friday unveiled a plan to overhaul gifted and talented education in New York City elementary schools, calling for sweeping changes to a highly selective program that has been widely criticized for exacerbating segregation in the nation’s largest school system.

Under Mr. de Blasio’s plan — released when he has just three months left in office — elementary school students who are currently enrolled in gifted classes would become the final cohort in the existing program.

The system would be replaced by a program that offers the possibility of accelerated learning to students in the later years of elementary school. And the test given to kindergarten students to screen for the gifted program, already suspended in part because the city’s advisory school board refused to renew it last year, would be permanently ended.

WATCH: North Carolina GOP Lt. Gov. Says He Won’t Resign After Blasting Schools for Teaching Graphic Sexual Concepts to Kids

North Carolina Lt. Gov. Mark Robinson says that he will not bow to calls for him to resign after he blasted schools for teaching sexual concepts to young children.

Gov. Robinson said “I will not be silenced and I will not be bullied into submission.”

The Republican outraged the left when he said that LGBT issues and sexual concepts should not be taught to children in public schools while speaking at Asbury Baptist Church in June.

“There’s no reason anybody anywhere in America should be telling any child about transgenderism, homosexuality, any of that filth,” he said during the event, video of which was recently posted online by far-left activists. “And yes, I called it filth, and if you don’t like that I called it filth, come see me and I’ll explain it to you.”

University of California, Irvine Director of Medical Ethics Placed on ‘Investigatory Leave’ over Challenge to Vaccine Mandate

The University of California, Irvine has placed their Director of Medical Ethics, Dr. Aaron Kheriaty, on ‘investigatory leave’ after he challenged the constitutionality of the UC’s vaccine mandate in regards to individuals who have recovered from Covid and have naturally-acquired immunity.

Last month Kheriaty, also a Professor of Psychiatry at UCI School of Medicine, filed a suit in Federal court over the mandate.

“Natural immunity following Covid infection is equal to (indeed, superior to) vaccine-mediated immunity. Thus, forcing those with natural immunity to be vaccinated introduces unnecessary risks without commensurate benefits—either to individuals or to the population as a whole—and violates their equal protection rights guaranteed under the Constitution’s 14th Amendment,” Kheriaty wrote in a Sep. 21 blog post.

Shame on colleges preparing American kids for the ‘real world’ by teaching them to become master snitches

US universities are training kids to rat out their classmates for not bowing to mask mandates, speech codes, and other micromanaging police state edicts. If college is about preparing for the real world, they’re doing a great job.

It says a lot about how far the one-time ‘land of the free’ has declined that college students are being trained in how to act as members of a digital Stasi, suppressing all stirrings of rebellion among their classmates. Campus authorities reward the rats for turning their peers in over the slightest infraction of an unspoken but increasingly restrictive political code, adding the equivalent of a few points to their social credit score. Whether the issue is critical race theory, Covid-19 mandates, or anything in between – schools are finding ways to use them as wedges to turn students against one another - great practice for the real world, where pitched political battles dog every discipline from mathematics to media studies.

The Assault On Merit Continues: MIT Cancels University Of Chicago Professor

Dorian Abbot is a professor in the Department of the Geophysical Sciences at the University of Chicago. Abbot’s topic was to be climate habitability and the potential for life on other planets.

But a Twitter mob, as Abbot describes it, composed of a group of MIT students, postdocs, and recent alumni, demanded that he be uninvited. Sure enough, just six days later, MIT called Abbot to say the lecture was cancelled because they didn’t want the controversy.

The particular viewpoint at issue here is especially noteworthy: Abbot wants universities to hire and promote based on what he calls MFE — Merit, Fairness, and Equality, “whereby university applicants are treated as individuals and evaluated through a rigorous and unbiased process based on their merit and qualifications alone.”

Merit? Heaven forbid that.

School Boards Declare War on Parents

From its headquarters here on Duke Street, just north on the Potomac River from George Washington’s Mt. Vernon home, the National School Boards Association declared war on an unexpected enemy that has been the fabric of America since its birth hundreds of years ago: parents.

In a September 30 letter to President Joe Biden, the National School Boards Association sent a vitriolic missive to the president, with a laundry list of allegations of “malice, violence, and threats” by parents, alleging incredulously: “As these acts of malice, violence, and threats against public school officials have increased, the classification of these heinous actions could be the equivalent to a form of domestic terrorism and hate crimes.”

PIERS MORGAN: President Biden's attempt to criminalize complaining parents is a shameful attempt to silence dissent that's more worthy of North Korea than the supposed land of the free

'Children are the world's most valuable resource,' said President John F. Kennedy, 'and its best hope for the future.'

He was absolutely right.

A society is only as good as the children it nurtures, educates and prepares for adulthood.

A society is also only as good as the protection it affords children.

And the most important people at the heart of all this childcare are parents.

I've got no time for mothers and fathers who don't care about their kids.

For me, they're the lowest of the low.

If you don't want to care for your children, then don't have them.

But conversely, I have all the time in the world for parents who DO care about their kids – passionately, ferociously, unconditionally.

Above all, I will defend to the last drop of my blood the right of any parent to want to protect their child.
