Omicron's 'Mildness' Is Thorn In Biden Administration's Christmas Narrative

The Biden administration was hoping for a threat from the new variant that would provide political cover for their draconian rules and a mask for their failed economic policies. Instead, as the World Health Organization, as well as hundreds of doctors, have reported, Omicron symptoms are little more than the common cold.

As Christmas approaches and citizens realize the stores are empty and what is on the shelves are insanely expensive, the focus of their ire will be on the administration that created this economy through systematic dismantling of Trump-era policies that worked and kept America moving. Without a distraction like a deadly flu variant to distract the media narrative, the Biden administration is fearing a backlash that will resonate deep into 2022.

'Smash & Grab' Crimes Grow This Much As White House Downplays Significance

A surge of robberies across the U.S. has jolted businesses, urging owners and leaders to take precautions to preserve brick-and-mortar shops amid a busy holiday shopping season.

Stores and malls in San Francisco, Los Angeles, Chicago and other metropolitan areas have been the targets of flash mob robberies, break-ins and vandalism.

Specialists who spoke with The Hill said that the uptick of online shopping during the pandemic has added to the increase in these kinds of wrongdoings.

Biden Mulls Cutting Russia Off SWIFT Ahead Of Putin Call In "Nuclear Option" Ukraine Response

CNN and others are reporting just a day ahead of the much anticipated video call between Russian President Vladimir Putin and US President Joe Biden that the White House is mulling "nuclear option" level actions against Moscow should it launch a military offensive against Ukraine - which US intelligence has lately said could be imminent based on assessing that some 175,000 troops have been mustered in the Crimea and regions near Ukraine's eastern border.

This includes discussion of the possibility of disconnecting Russia from the SWIFT international payment system, seen as the most drastic potential measure which further includes fresh sanctions on Putin's inner circle and on Russian energy producers.

The Kremlin has of course vehemently rejected the Ukraine threat accusations, saying it's free to move its own troops wherever it sees fit within the Russian Federation's sovereign territory and borders.

Cutting Russia off from SWIFT will not lead to a calm discussion!

US Officially Announces Diplomatic Boycott Of Beijing Winter Olympics

The Biden administration has officially announced a diplomatic boycott of the 2022 Winter Olympics in Beijing, China, an announcement that was widely expected, WSJ reports.

A diplomatic boycott means that no U.S. government officials are attending the Games, but U.S. athletes will still be present.

On Monday, ahead of the expected announcement, China's Foreign Ministry spokesman Zhao Lijian said, "the Winter Olympics is not a stage for political show and political manipulation." He said a boycott "severely tarnishes the spirit of the Olympic Charter."

Webmaster's Commentary:

Actually, China has not invited any American diplomats to the games.

Joe Biden Abolishes 90 Percent of ICE’s Deportations

President Joe Biden has slashed the deportation of illegal migrants from 25 cities by roughly 90 percent, so helping business groups with a flood of desperate, low-wage workers.

Biden’s business giveaway was revealed by the Center for Immigration Studies, which also showed that Biden’s deputies have reduced by two-thirds the deportation of criminal migrants who threaten Americans and the nation’s growing population of illegal migrants.

Only 18,713 illegals were formally “removed” — deported — from 25 interior cities, such as Atlanta, Baltimore, and Miami, from January to July in 2021, according to the data from the Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agency. The 2021 removal number includes only 6,000 migrants convicted of serious crimes, such as MS-13 migrants.

Shocking Truth About New Variant Brings Into Question Biden's Motives For New Rules

No one has died with the new super mutant Omicron Covid variant despite the variant being recognized in 38 countries, the World Health Organization (WHO) has reported.

The US and Australia became the latest countries to establish locally transmitted cases of the variant, as Omicron infections pushed South Africa's total cases past three million.

And India affirmed its third Omicron infection today, with cases also now spotted in Sri Lanka, South Korea, and Malaysia.

Democrats see Christmas goal slipping away

The goal for Democrats was to pass President Biden's sweeping climate and social spending package by Christmas, but that is slipping away as the Senate bogs down in one time-consuming fight after another.

Democratic senators are growing increasingly doubtful that Senate Majority Leader Charles Schumer (D-N.Y.) will be able to meet his Christmas deadline because several major disagreements are holding up the Build Back Better Act, including a fight over lifting the cap on state and local tax (SALT) deductions.

Schumer told reporters last week that his goal is to bring the $2 trillion bill to the floor the week of Dec. 13, but that timeline will be tough to meet because negotiators have a lot left to work out and Congress will also have to raise the debt ceiling by Dec. 15, which will distract attention from Biden’s agenda.

Dems plot escape from Biden’s poll woes

Rep. Jared Golden is facing one of the toughest reelection battles in the country. One thing he says doesn’t keep him up at night, though, is President Joe Biden’s sinking approval rating.

“I really don't care at all. I've got my own approach to doing things,” the Maine Democrat said, adding that he handily outran Biden in Trump country. “What I know about his approval ratings right now versus my own is that I'm outpacing him by about 30 points."

Golden's nonchalance is rare.

Most Democrats are worried that Biden’s flagging polling numbers — with an approval hovering in the low 40s — will lead to a thrashing at the ballot box. With historical headwinds and a GOP-dominated redistricting process already working against them, they fear that unless Biden pulls out of his current slide, Congress will be handed to the Republicans in next year's midterms.

Biden – the Manchurian Candidate Decline & Fall of America

I have had long and disturbing conversations about what the HELL is really going on. The Constitution is being shredded under the Biden Administration and I have warned that the 2020 election was NEVER between Trump v Biden – it was Trump v the Overthrow of the United States, precisely as Klaus Schwab stated in the 2030 Agenda that has been in your face all the time. Biden is nothing more than the senile Manchurian Candidate who has always done anything for money.

Kamala Harris is branded a ‘bully’ and accused of inflicting ‘constant, soul-destroying criticism’ on staff by ex-aides who claim she refused to read briefings, then scolded them if she was slated for being unprepared as 'FOUR' staffers head for the exit

Kamala Harris has been branded a 'bully' who inflicted 'constant-soul destroying criticism' on her office staff in a damaging expose by a liberal newspaper.

The Washington Post piece - a result of interviews with 18 people connected to the VP - also alleges that she'd fail to read briefings they'd prepared, only to turn on them if she was subsequently criticized for being unprepared.

The claims from staff who worked for Harris were published amid confirmed departures of two high level staffers, with two others who are said to be heading for the door too.

Staffers Deserting ‘Sinking Ship’ Kamala Harris

The Democrats have a serious problem in Kamala Harris. Her poll numbers are even worse than Biden’s and staffers are walking away from her office.

Even reliably liberal news outlets are starting to acknowledge the issue because they know she’s a loser in 2024 if Joe doesn’t make it for any reason.

This is from the Washington Post:

A Kamala Harris staff exodus reignites questions about her leadership style — and her future ambitions

The rumors started circulating in July: Vice President Harris’s staff was wilting in a dysfunctional and frustrated office, burned out just a few months after her historic swearing-in and pondering exit strategies. A few days later, Harris hosted an all-staff party at her official residence, where most of her office bit into hamburgers and posted pictures of smiling, congenial co-workers on Twitter, pixelated counterpoints to the narrative of an office in shambles.

Biden Says He’ll Make It ‘Very Difficult’ for Putin on Ukraine

On Friday, President Biden said he is working with allies to make it “very, very difficult” for Russian President Vladimir Putin to order an invasion of Ukraine. The US has been claiming Russia is preparing to move into Ukraine, but Moscow strongly denies the accusation.

“What I am doing is putting together what I believe to be … the most comprehensive and meaningful set of initiatives to make it very, very difficult for Mr. Putin to go ahead and do what people are worried he may do,” Biden said.

Biden said he’s been in “constant contact” with European allies and Ukrainian officials over the issue. On Wednesday, Secretary of State Antony Blinken threatened sanctions against Russia if it invaded Ukraine. NATO Secretary-General Jens Stoltenberg also suggested alliance members could hit Russia with sanctions.

Washington Should Stop Reassuring Europe: Time for NATO Members To Grow Up

Russia is threatening Ukraine, causing yet another "crisis" in Washington. Kyiv isn’t a formal ally let alone in NATO. Yet the foreign policy establishment talks and acts as if Ukraine was a member of the transatlantic alliance. Which could lead to war between Washington and Moscow.

Yet defending Ukraine would be no cakewalk. Especially since Kyiv matters much more to Russia than to the US. Worse, justifying war with a nuclear-armed power over a country thousands of miles away with no connection to US security would be an especially tough sell to the American people.

Four questions that deserve answers at the Guantanamo oversight hearing

The Biden administration’s halfhearted approach to closing the Guantanamo prison isn’t sitting well with Sen. Dick Durbin (D-Ill.) In April, he wrote to President Biden urging the administration to act swiftly toward that end. In July, he wrote to Attorney General Merrick Garland pressing him to reconsider government litigation positions that frustrate rather than facilitate closure and that undermine fundamental rights.

On Wednesday morning, he railed against Guantanamo and post-9/11 U.S. torture on the Senate floor and announced that the Senate Judiciary Committee — which Durbin chairs — will hold an oversight hearing on Guantanamo next week.

America’s Pro-Israel Diplomacy at the UN Hits a New Level

Israel seems to have acquired another formidably biased ally in the latest US Ambassador to the UN, Linda Thomas-Greenfield. Her Trump era predecessor Nikki Haley once said, “If there’s anything I have no patience for, it is bullies – and the UN was being such a bully to Israel because they could.” Thomas-Greenfield is going down the same route; less fiery language, perhaps, and more diplomatic tact, but subjugating Palestinians to Israel’s colonial violence nonetheless.

During a briefing to the UN Security Council this week, Thomas-Greenfield spoke about Palestinians’ security concerns while invalidating them in the same speech by upholding Israel’s security narrative.

‘Kamala Harris is a Bully’ – Former Staffer Says Veep Refuses to do Prep Work Then Lashes Out at Employees When She’s Unprepared

Does this really surprise anyone?

“It’s clear that you’re not working with somebody who is willing to do the prep and the work,” one former staffer told the Washington Post. “With Kamala you have to put up with a constant amount of soul-destroying criticism and also her own lack of confidence. So you’re constantly sort of propping up a bully and it’s not really clear why.”

Two high-profile Harris staffers have announced they will be resigning and seeking other opportunities and two more are on the way out.

US Intel Resorting to 'Unprecedented Sharing' to Convince EU of Russian 'Invasion' Plans in Ukraine

The United States actively shared certain intelligence in order to convince the EU and NATO of Moscow's alleged plans to prepare an invasion of Ukraine, the Financial Times reports.

Officials told the newspaper on Sunday that the "unprecedented sharing" of US intelligence reports depicting Russian military deployments along the border helped convince previously sceptical European countries, including Germany, that Russia could "soon order its troops into Ukraine".

"Many allies were not convinced that serious things were happening", one official told the Financial Times. "We were surprised about this [intelligence] gap - how and why the US were seeing things that we were not seeing".

Near-Octogenarian Joe Biden Taps Teen Spirit to Snub China and Russia

Biden is trying to foist an anachronistic dichotomy on the world whereby geopolitical rivals China and Russia can be cast as malign.

Inviting some while not inviting others to your party is usually a ploy one associates with petulant, insecure teenagers. It’s my party, so there! U.S. President Joe Biden turned 79 last week – near enough an octogenarian – and in the same week announced the invitation list for a so-called “democracy summit” to be held on December 9-10.

China and Russia aren’t on the list. Neither are a lot of other countries many of whom happen to be on U.S. blacklists for sanctions. They include Cuba, Iran, Nicaragua, North Korea, Syria and Venezuela, among others.

At the upcoming Summit for Democracy hosted by President Biden, the US will urge other countries to start using sanctions against government officials Washington deems to be “corrupt,” The Wall Street Journal reported Friday.

Citing unnamed Biden administration officials, the report said the US will slap sanctions on foreign-government officials and other people the US accuses of corruption and human rights abuses ahead of the virtual summit that will be held on Thursday and Friday.

US Secretary of State Antony Blinken initiated a phone call with Prime Minister Naftali Bennett on Thursday to express his dismay over Israeli plans to advance a controversial East Jerusalem housing project despite signaling last week that it had shelved the plan, sources familiar with the matter told The Times of Israel.

The phone call was “intense,” an official said, with Blinken expressing the Biden administration’s vehement opposition to the 9,000-home plan in Atarot, which supporters of a two-state solution argue would mark a death knell for the proposal by creating a wedge in the middle of Palestinian contiguity between Ramallah and East Jerusalem.

US Intel Accuses Russia of Planning 'Multi-Front Offensive' Against Ukraine as Early as 2022

Over the last several weeks, tensions have remained high between the US and Russia as American authorities have accused Moscow of laying the groundwork for a potential invasion of neighbouring Ukraine. The Kremlin has repeatedly rejected the unsubstantiated claims.

Newly surfaced US intel reports have accused Russia of planning a "multi-front offensive" against Ukraine sometime within the next year, a charge that marks the latest claim pinned to the Kremlin amid weeks of heightened tensions.

Citing sources and a US intelligence document, The Washington Post reported late Friday that planning is allegedly underway by Moscow for a military offensive as early as 2022 that will include up to 175,000 troops.

An unidentified source with knowledge of the sensitive information alleged to the outlet that Russian forces would be "twice what we saw this past spring during Russia’s snap exercise near Ukraine’s borders".

Biden dismisses Russia’s ‘red lines’

US President Joe Biden has vowed to hold lengthy talks with his Russian counterpart, Vladimir Putin, on the issue of Ukraine, but insists he will accept no warnings about “red lines” from Moscow.

“We’ve been aware of Russia’s actions [concerning Ukraine] for a long time and my expectation is we’re going to have a long discussion with Putin,” Biden said on Friday night as he left for Camp David.

“I don’t accept anybody’s red lines,” the president added in apparent reference to the position Moscow reasserted earlier this week as several Western publications suggested a military showdown in Ukraine was imminent.

On Thursday, Russia’s Foreign Ministry again claimed NATO had given assurances it would not move “an inch” further east at the end of the Cold War. Despite that pledge, it has continued to expand, encompassing new member states ever closer to Russia’s borders, with Ukraine repeatedly having expressed an interest in joining the bloc in recent years.

President Joe Biden seemed to forget his Arab–Israeli history, confusing the 1967 Six-Day War with the Yom Kippur War of 1973 during a White House menorah lighting ceremony for Hanukkah.

Israel Tells U.S. to 'Immediately Halt' Iran Negotiations, U.S. Halts Iran Negotiations

Israel stepped up its opposition to the Iran nuclear deal talks on Thursday and demanded that the US and other world powers put an immediate end to the negotiations.

Israeli Prime Minister Naftali Bennett delivered the message in a call with US Secretary of State Antony Blinken. "Iran is carrying out nuclear blackmail as a negotiating tactic, and this should be answered by the immediate halt to negotiations and the implementation of tough steps by the world powers," Bennett said, according to a statement released by his office.

Israel claims that Iran has no intention of reducing its nuclear activity back to JCPOA levels and is only trying to buy time to develop a nuclear bomb. But there's no evidence to support the claim, and Iran has only taken steps to advance its nuclear program in the face of pressure from the US and Israel, and a JCPOA revival would reverse those steps.

US Reportedly Plans Javelin Missile Delivery to Ukraine, Reneges on Surface-to-Air Missiles

The Biden administration is considering providing Ukraine with additional anti-tank weapons such as Javelin missiles, but has reneged on providing surface-to-air missiles like Stinger missiles in order not to provoke Russia, CNN reported on Friday.

Over the past several weeks, Ukraine and some Western countries have expressed concern about the alleged increase in what they characterise as "aggressive actions" by Russia on their border. However, Russia has refuted the accusations by saying it is moving troops within its own territory and at its own discretion.

Ukraine is planning to use its new military patrol boats, supplied by the United States, to boost defence missions in the Black Sea, the report said citing anonymous sources in the Biden administration.

Tit for tat diplomatic expulsions by Russia and US are absurd and reckless

Official U.S. behavior towards Russia is suffering from a pretty acute case of what might charitably be called obsessive-compulsive disorder. As a result of this affliction, it has often lost touch not only with basic strategic common sense, but with the overall goals and strategy of the current U.S. administration.

The latest manifestation of this has been the U.S. refusal to extend the visas of Russian diplomats in Washington, which this week naturally and inevitably led to a new round of tit for tat expulsions of U.S. diplomats from Moscow. As a result of an escalating cycle of retaliation in recent years, the U.S. embassy in Moscow is now the only U.S. diplomatic presence in that country, and the number of its staff is barely one tenth of its previous figure.

Brzezinski brothers want Biden, NATO to reprise father’s confrontation with Russia over Poland

Not to be missed. From the New Atlanticist and the Atlantic Council. Offered by Ian Brzezinski, son of Zbigniew (as he mentions in the article), senior fellow at the Atlantic Council and former U.S. deputy assistant secretary of defense for Europe and NATO policy.

His brother Mark is on his way to becoming U.S. ambassador to Poland just in time for the impending catastrophe in northeastern Europe. The two sons are positioning themselves to reprise their father’s role in confronting and defeating Russia (and Belarus) over Poland.

Hence the labored analogy that serves as the theme of the piece.

"What the president was critical of was the way that the former president put out, I believe, a xenophobic tweet and what he called the coronavirus and who he directed it at," Psaki announced at Monday's press briefing. "The president has not been critical of travel restrictions, we have put those in place ourselves in the spring," she went on.

A Clearer Breakdown of What This Infrastructure Bill Is Really Funding

On November 5, 2021, Congress passed the Infrastructure Investment & Jobs Act (H.R.3684) which was signed by the President on November 15. Yet another $1.2 trillion in nefarious “investments” to keep the money presses rolling. Most media sources summarize the 2740-page bill by lumping everything into spending categories, while leaving out some of the most critical data that shows what they really intend to fund. This report breaks down several key data and funding points, while drawing attention to some of the more questionable allocations.

Remember Pearl Harbor, Mr. President?

Washington is talking itself into war again. The signs are unmistakable.

Admirals are warning of China’s preparations to invade Taiwan and defense hawks on the Hill point to Taiwan as simply the first step in China’s long-term strategic bid for global military hegemony. Nervous European allies see a Russian troop concentration in Eastern Ukraine as evidence for an impending Russian invasion and the Biden administration responds by saying that America’s support for Ukraine is “ironclad.”

When U.S. politicians and senior military leaders invoke the threat of war, Americans must treat their comments seriously. With this in mind, it’s important to understand what did and what did not happen 80 years ago.

From 1920 until the outbreak of war with Imperial Japan, the Navy’s Pacific Fleet practiced fighting the Imperial Japanese Navy on an annual basis. These exercises informed extensive, detailed war plans that were developed in the 1930s.

Watch: Manchin Attacks Schumer Over Rushed Socialist Spending

Sen. Joe Manchin (D-WV) refused to say Monday whether he would support Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer's promise to force the Biden Administration's almost $2 trillion social spending bill through the chamber by Christmas.

"I think what we need to do is just really look at the bill, what we have right now, what came from the House and that's what I've been doing this afternoon," Manchin told reporters.

Evidence Shows Joe Wanted A Cut From Hunter's Commie Deals

Further revelations from the infamous Hunter Biden laptop discovered in 2019 have revealed that Joe Biden was to be a party to the deal being discussed with Chinese energy company CFEC and was to get a 10 percent cut.

In her recent book, Laptop from Hell, Author Miranda Devine details how the Biden family took Navy veteran and businessmen Tony Bobulinski to help push the deal along with Chinese mogul Ye Jianming, who was in command of the Chinese government-affiliated CFEC.

Biden administration considers forcing all travelers returning to the US to quarantine for SEVEN DAYS to curb spread of super-mutant Omicron variant - and may FINE people who flout it

The Biden administration is considering whether to force all travelers returning to the U.S. to quarantine for seven days to curb the spread of the potentially dangerous omicron variant – and may fine those who refuse, three federal health officials told the Washington Post.

Travelers would not be able to forgo the potential quarantine mandate, even with a negative Covid test or full vaccination and booster shot. It comes as Biden deliberates his winter Covid strategy, which he plans to announce Thursday. Any imposition of financial penalties for refusing to comply would mark the first time federal fines are linked to quarantine and testing measures for U.S. travelers.

Biden's tentative plan would also require everyone entering the country to be tested one day before boarding flights, regardless of their vaccination status or country from which they're leaving. Another requirement could force all travelers to get tested again within three to five days of arrival.

BREAKING: Federal Judge Blocks Vaccine Mandate Nationwide – Protects Health Care Workers Across America

Louisiana U.S. District Judge Terry Doughty blocked a federal COVID-19 vaccine mandate for health care workers Tuesday. The ruling has nationwide implications.

The ruling by Judge Doughty follows Missouri US District Judge Matthew Schelp’s ruling on Monday that blocked mandates in 10 states.

Judge Doughty was appointed by President Donald Trump.

Life News reported:

A federal court has issued a nationwide injunction protecting health care workers across the country from Joe Biden’s COVID vaccine mandate.

Yesterday, in response to a multi-state lawsuit led by Missouri, a federal court barred the Biden administration from enforcing a vaccine mandate for health care workers in 10 states who are employed at federally-funded health care clinics. That means they doctors and nurses can’t be fired for refusing the COVID vaccine despite Biden’s federal mandate requiring them to get it.

Russia tells US embassy staff to leave Moscow

American embassy workers who have been stationed in Moscow for over three years have been given just weeks to leave the country, Russia’s Foreign Ministry has announced, amid a growing row with Washington over diplomatic visas.

Speaking at a briefing on Wednesday, diplomatic spokeswoman Maria Zakharova announced that “by January 31, 2022, employees of the US embassy in Moscow who have been on assignment for more than three years must leave Russia.”

The news comes after Washington reportedly denied extending the visas of dozens of family members of Russian diplomats based in the US. According to Zakharova, “we consider the American move to be a clear expulsion and intend to react accordingly.”

She said that “such a game” was started by America’s policy decisions, rather than because Russia was eager to break off ties.

We tried long and hard to reason with them and direct them to some constructive solution to the issue, but they made their choice.

Kamala Harris For Supreme Court? A Very Bad Idea.

The Democrats have two major electoral problems. One is Joe Biden. He is the most unpopular President in a very, long time. And the second is that Kamala Harris is even more unpopular. She could not beat Donald Trump in 2024 even if she did steal 14 million votes like Biden’s people did in 2020.

Kamala Harris has been mentioned as a Presidential candidate with Pete Buttigieg as her running mate. That won’t happen. They were on the stage together recently. Buttigieg did very poorly in the primaries in 2016. And he is one of Biden’ worst cabinet secretaries. Professional politicians want a candidate at the top of the ticket who will get the voters to come out and vote so they can win down ballot races for state assemblies and governors. Harris would only motivate Republicans to come out and vote.

Biden and His Aides Reportedly Prepare For Virtual Summit With Putin in December

While there were no official announcements about a possible meeting between the presidents of Russia and the United States, Joe Biden said he would likely speak with Vladimir Putin and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy. Russian officials earlier mulled over the possibility of Putin-Biden talks before the end of 2021.

US President Joe Biden and his aides are preparing for next month's virtual summit with his Russian counterpart Vladimir Putin, The Washington Post reported Tuesday, citing sources.

The analysts view the reported virtual call as a chance to reduce the simmering tensions but also to "signal the costs of an invasion to the Kremlin." The threats of the purported Russian "invasion" in Ukraine were reported by multiple Western media outlets before, raising eyebrows in Moscow before being debunked by the Kremlin.

Aside from this, Washington reportedly floated the possibility of an in-person summit between Putin and Biden in 2022, the newspaper noted.

Iraqi Political Groups Reportedly Seek to Forge Bloc in Push to Drive US Forces From Country

Washington and Baghdad agreed in July that the US combat forces will be withdrawn from the Middle Eastern country by 31 December 2021, with the remaining American personnel only remaining to play "a training, advising, assisting, and intelligence-sharing role."

A group of Iraqi political parties has called for the formation of an alliance to push American forces out of the country by the promised 31 December deadline, Press TV reported, citing Fadel Jaber, a member of the Sadeqoun coalition in Parliament.
According to Jaber, the prolonged presence of US forces in the country risks creating divisions in Iraqi society. His comments come as several observers reportedly voiced concerns that Washington actually has no intention of leaving the Middle Eastern nation.

Biden Just Announced Date for WWIII

The Biden administration this week brazenly announced its intention to walk over China’s red line warning on Taiwan. The move by the US is a recklessly provocative step that dares an inevitable military response from Beijing. -- If that happens then all bets are off for a full-scale military confrontation between the United States, its allies, and China. It is not alarmist to say such a clash would escalate into World War III.

Could the Biden Team Actually Be Considering a Supreme Court Nod for Kamala?

We’ve seen that Joe Biden is deeply underwater in the polls and the Democrats’ possibilities as we look into the future at the 2022 midterms, then onto 2024, don’t look good with him at the front of the ticket.

Kamala Harris was put in as the backup. But the problem with that is that the only person more unpopular right now than Joe Biden is Harris. He was at 36 percent approval in a recent Quinnipiac poll and when the last number was given on her earlier in the month, she was at 28 percent approval. So Harris is basically a dead weight around the neck of their election possibilities. But now they’re stuck with her.

Or are they?

According to the Virginia National Guard Public Affairs Office, 800 Virginia and 200 Kentucky Guardsmen were transported to Fort Bliss, Texas, for roughly one month of pre-deployment training, marking the start of their federal active duty status. The troops will be deployed to “unspecified countries” in Africa early next year.

Washington calls for ‘urgent negotiations’ on Ethiopia conflict

The United States (US) has called on Ethiopia to hold “urgent negotiations”, expressing “grave concern” over the country’s military escalation.

US State Department spokesperson Ned Price said Secretary Anthony Blinken expressed grave concern about the indications of a worrying military escalation in Ethiopia and stressed the need for urgent action for negotiations.

Washington warned the government of Ethiopian Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed, that there was “no military solution” to the conflict in Ethiopia and that diplomacy was the “only option” to stop the country’s civil war.

This comes at a time when the diplomatic efforts of the international community for a ceasefire between government forces and the Tigray People’s Liberation Front (TPLF).

White House coronavirus team will brief governors, Congress on omicron variant this week

The Biden administration is planning a flurry of briefings with state and local officials this week to prepare them to detect and monitor the newly discovered omicron variant of the coronavirus, anticipating that it may show up inside the United States within a matter of days.

Members of the White House COVID-19 response team will brief governors and members of Congress this week, and officials from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention and the Department of Health and Human Services are providing lab directors around the country with guidance on how to detect omicron using available PCR tests, a White House official said.

The omicron variant, first identified last week in South Africa, has a significant number of mutations from the original strain of SARS-CoV-2 that scientists say could make it more transmissible and resistant to vaccines.

US rejects all Russian proposals to restore inter-parliamentary ties — ambassador

The United States rejects all Russian proposals to restore inter-parliamentary ties and turns down requests for meetings at the Congress, Russia’s Ambassador to Washington Anatoly Antonov said on the YouTube channel Soloviev.Live on Saturday.

"All our requests for meetings at the Congress are rejected. They do not even want to listen to Russian arguments. They turn a deaf ear to our proposals to restore inter-parliamentary ties," he said.

Antonov added that the United States suffers from "moral egoism" and egotism, exclusively supporting its own initiatives and overestimating its capabilities,

"The world is actually developing, the world is becoming more and more complex. And we cannot address alone the challenges that the United States and the Russian Federation are facing nowadays," the Russian ambassador said.

Latvia Calls for Permanent US Military Presence to Counter Russia

On Monday, Latvia’s defense minister called for a permanent US military presence in the Baltic state and said Riga wants to boost its defense with US Patriot surface-to-air missiles.

“We need additional international assistance,” Defense Minister Artis Pabriks told Reuters. “We would like to have a permanent United States presence in our country. And sea and air defense means basically going down to such systems as Patriot.”

Pabriks’ comments come ahead of the NATO Foreign Ministerial that Latvia is hosting on Tuesday and Wednesday. US Secretary of State Antony Blinken was due to arrive in Latvia late Monday. There, Blinken is expected to consult with NATO on the alleged Russian troop build-up near Ukraine. A State Department official said Friday that “all options” are on the table for how to respond to Russia’s alleged build-up.

Russia Warns The U.S. Not To Interfere With Nord Stream 2

The Russian Government has warned the US not to put further pressure on anyone over the certification of the $11bn Nord Stream 2 (NS2) gas pipeline.

The newly completed 1,764km double pipeline is still awaiting clearance from German regulators before Russia can start exporting gas through it. NS2 bypasses Ukraine and instead imports Russian gas directly to Germany via the bed of the Baltic Sea. If green-lit, it will double Russia’s overall flows to Germany, providing 55bn cubic meters of gas through both pipelines.

Speaking to reporters on Monday, Kremlin spokesperson Dmitry Peskov said: “It is very important, of course, that the United States of America does not put pressure on anyone in connection with the ongoing implementation and certification of this project,” Peskov emphasized. The comments follow the Biden administration imposing sanctions targeting Russia-linked Transadria and its operating vessel.

Russia warns it won't back down in NATO standoff

Russia won’t back down in its standoff with NATO over Ukraine, or in the Black Sea, and underestimating the country’s resolve could be disastrous, Moscow’s top diplomat in Washington has blasted amid worsening ties with the US.

Judge halts Biden vaccine mandate in 10 states

A federal judge in Missouri has blocked US President Joe Biden’s vaccine mandate for healthcare workers in 10 states, saying that it would need approval from Congress – which it does not have.

US District Court Judge Matthew Schelp issued a preliminary injunction on Monday, blocking the White House’s order that all workers employed by the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) had to be vaccinated by January 4, 2022 or face losing their jobs.

“The nature and breadth of the CMS mandate requires clear authorization from Congress—and Congress has provided none,” Schelp said, adding the injunction is warranted by the “vast economic and political significance” of the mandate.

US to Expel 27 Russian Diplomats in January

In a weekend interview, Russian Ambassador Anatoly Antonov revealed that 27 Russian diplomats are to be expelled from the United States by January 30, along with their families.

The expulsions are related to expiring visas. 24 diplomats had been expelled for the same reason in September. Officials say that there have been widespread delays in getting visas renewed.

Antonov said he views this as an effort to “squeeze” Russian workers, and cautioned that they are facing “a serious staff shortage.” The State Department said the move was not directed at Russia and was “nothing new.”

Russia’s Foreign Ministry reported that as of late October, 200 Russian diplomats were working in the United States. Maintaining those diplomats may be a challenge with the visa delays.

The Biden Administration’s Missile Sale to Saudi Arabia Is Offensive, and Must Be Stopped

The Biden administration’s decision to sell $650 million in air-to-air missiles and related equipment to Saudi Arabia is a violation of President Biden’s pledge to treat Saudi Arabia as a “pariah” and to end the sale of weapons that can be used in its brutal war in Yemen, a conflict in which nearly a quarter of a million people have died since it was initiated in March 2015.

To their credit, Senators Rand Paul (R-KY), Mike Lee (R-UT) and Bernie Sanders (I-VT) have introduced a joint resolution of disapproval to stop the sale, which is likely to be voted on this week. It deserves support in the service of peace, human rights, and an end to the catastrophic suffering in Yemen.

Kremlin outlines who it believes is behind ‘hysteria’ around possible Ukraine invasion

Suggestions that Russia is planning an attack on Ukraine are completely groundless, and the entire scenario is being whipped up by media outlets, with the backing of top political leaders in Kiev, the Kremlin claimed on Sunday.

“This hysteria, which is being stirred up now in the Anglo-Saxon media, in the Ukrainian media, and is supported by Ukrainian politicians led by the head of state [President Volodymyr Zelensky], is absolutely unacceptable,” Peskov said.

“The very allegations that Russia is going to attack someone, and accusations that Russia is somehow being aggressive, are completely groundless,” he continued.

US dangerously misguided in believing Russia won’t respond to NATO threat — ambassador

The assumptions heard in the United States that Russia is likely to be frightened with NATO capabilities in Ukraine and the Black Sea are dangerous delusions, Russia’s Ambassador to Washington Anatoly Antonov said on the YouTube channel Soloviev Live on Saturday.

"NATO states are taking over the Black Sea, Ukrainian territory. There are assumptions, which are voiced here, that certain daredevils or a group of combatants may turn up in Ukraine, who will try to test the strength of Russian defenses, expecting that we will not respond fearing the NATO potential. Biden 'Forgets' To Close The Southern Border Against 'Omicron' Variant

Much has been made of the news that Joe Biden has shut the door to eight countries over the new 'omicron' COVID variant. AT deputy editor Andrea Widburg has an excellent piece today on that here.

Some of the implications, of course, are vaguely comical. Biden's White House medical advisor, Dr. Anthony Fauci, the so-called "expert" and voice of "science" he touted was last seen recommending against the closure of air travel.

Joe, of course, did it anyway, signaling that Fauci's expertise to him is all about what's politically useful and, apparently, this wasn't.

After all, country after country was shutting its air travel from countries where that variant is present. According to Axios:

Countries across Europe and Asia are rushing through new travel restrictions in response to a new COVID variant identified by scientists in South Africa.

Mark Sleboda, an international affairs and security analyst, has shed light on emerging geopolitical trends.

Washington is bracing for an "imminent invasion" of Ukraine by Russia: former US Ambassador to Russia Michael McFaul has released a series of tweets claiming that Ukrainian civilians will fight to the bitter end against Russian "occupiers". For his part, Hollywood star Sean Penn arrived in Ukraine to film a documentary about "Russian aggression", being photographed in combat gear and a helmet as he visited Ukrainian troops in the Donetsk region last week.

This is the administration that was supposed to be all about unifying us as Americans, right? We were told that Biden was going to restore civility to the political process. With Democrat Back in White House, MSNBC Returns to Ignoring U.S.-Backed War in Yemen

A review of MSNBC’s coverage from Nov. 3, 2020 to Nov. 22, 2021 shows MSNBC hasn’t run a single segment on the U.S.-backed war still raging in Yemen.

To the extent MSNBC did cover Yemen’s “civil war” during this time frame it was exclusively to pass along, without skepticism, claims last spring from Democrats that President Biden had “ended U.S. support for the war”—which turned out to not be true in any meaningful sense, a fact evident at the time but not met with any questioning from MSNBC reporters or pundits.

Since then, it’s become increasingly clear little has changed in the status quo. While the U.S. has halted some forms of assistance, like mid-air refueling of aircraft, other forms of vital participation remain, including: green-lighting of weapons transfers, maintaining spare parts for Saudi war planes, sharing some forms of intelligence, and training the Royal Saudi Navy, which is enforcing a catastrophic blockade on Yemen.

Biden's Re-Election Bid: Should US Politicians & Justices of Advanced Age Undergo Cognitive Tests?

A debate over Joe Biden's physical health and mental acumen is continuing to go on, with some Republican politicians arguing that top politicians of advanced age in all three branches of government need to undergo cognitive tests to ensure their ability to serve the people of America.

Biden's reported intent to run again in 2024 has added to the conservative wrangle about the physical and mental capacity of the incumbent president who will be 82 on the next election day. On 23 November, former President Donald Trump suggested that his successor should have a "mandated" cognitive test.

The remark came on the heels of a report describing Biden's first physical exam, released by the White House on 19 November. The examination was conducted by White House physician Kevin O'Connor who concluded that Biden "remains a healthy, vigorous, 78-year-old male, who is fit to successfully execute the duties of the presidency".

As part of Biden’s “Build Back Better Act,” which was already passed by House Democrats, nearly 600,000 more working and middle class Americans earning $75,000 or less a year would be audited by the IRS, an analysis by Republican lawmakers reveals.

“Democrats’ tax and spending spree will more than double Americans’ chances of being audited as it targets lower and middle-income earners,” the analysis states:

The proposal will lead to an additional 1.2 million IRS audits each year, nearly half of which will hit middle class families making less than $75,000. All this so Democrats can wring an extra $200 billion out of the American people, particularly from middle class families and small businesses.

Due to the Seriousness of the New Omicron COVID Variant the Biden Admin Has Decided to Leave the US Southern Border Completely Open

The “Omicron” variant of COVID arrived just in time to ruin Christmas. (Who didn’t see this coming?) The variant with “more mutations than you shake a spike protein at” was first identified in Botswana and quickly became the most prevalent variant in South Africa.

The news of the Omicron variant shook the world. Joe Biden immediately banned travel from 8 countries in southern Africa.

In fact, the Biden administration was so shaken by the news that they decided to completely leave open the US Southern border with Mexico.

Webmaster's Commentary:

This alone tells you the Omicron variant is a mere marketing ploy!

Centrist Democrats Are Sinking Biden, Vow To Oppose 'Soviet-Born' Treasury Pick

Five centrist Democratic senators have reportedly announced to the White House that they’ll fight the nomination of Saule Omarova, President Joe Biden’s doubtful lefty pick for head of the Treasury Department’s Office of the Comptroller of the Currency.

The opposition from both Republicans and, now, some of Biden’s own party could destroy the nomination of the Soviet-born academic to the critically relevant post, according to Axios.

In a Wednesday phone call, Sens. Jon Tester (D-Mont.), Mark Warner (D-Va.) and Kyrsten Sinema (D-Ariz.), all members of the Senate Banking Committee, explained to Sen. Sherrod Brown (D-Ohio), the panel’s chairman, said that they would face Omarova’s nomination to the post, Axios reported.
